If you think you work hard, the staff at La Parrilla in Carrollton work harder. The manager sat us at a high top since the restaurant was full everywhere else. A server immediately brought chips, salsa and white sauce to the table before we could even sit down. No hangry customers here! Although you usually come to a Mexican restaurant for a margarita we actually ended up ordering a Bahama Mama and wine. The manager recommended we try this delicious sparkly red. He was so helpful and gave exceptional service. As we looked around the restaurant, there was not one server just waiting around. Everyone was helping each other out making sure everyone in the restaurant was happy and well taken care of. The restaurant is also incredibly clean, really appreciated that! The food was your typical Mexican food, can't go wrong with anything on the menu pretty much! Definitely will be coming back often for our mexican food fix. read more

Service to me goes a long way, the staff here was top notch. We were offered a friendly greeting, prompt seating, quick drinks, and food came out in a timely manner. As I do with most new to me restaurants, we ordered a few different things. Pictured is the steak and chicken fajitas, come "Colorado" dish, and a tamale of course along side chips, salsa, and the 757's famous white sauce. The food was great and the portions allowed us to take home leftovers. The staff really stood out as just an awesome group of folks. We will be back, excited to try other offerings and make this our new home spot for Latino food so make sure to drop by and give em a try! Came here at 9 PM on a Saturday not too busy and we were seated right away. Chips and salsa were brought out immediately and our drink order taken. Our food was brought out in 10 minutes served hot and well prepared. Wife had the taco salad which she finished crunchy bowl and all and the burrito I had was excellent. The burrito had steak, chicken, and chorizo which is a Mexican sausage and rice. My family and I have been here a dozen times since they opened and never had a bad experience, bad service, or bad food. I would recommend coming here. Cheers! read more

I keep wanting to like this place. Occasionally the food is really good. The service is just so bad that I never want to go back. No one and I mean NO ONE understands English. All you can do is point to the menu and hope you get what you pointed at. Any time you request something they smile and nod and then do the opposite of what you asked. I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has always been hot, tasty, and has large portion sizes. It's not something that will change your life or anything, but it's very good for Americanized Mexican food. I'm very sad. We ate here numerous times since moving here to the area in September. We really enjoyed the restaurant as it was. Then we came out for dinner just after they introduced an all new menu and concept. Disappointing doesn't describe our experience, it was way worse. The new menu concept was a high end steak and seafood place with overpriced Sysco or cafeteria quality food. The waiters very very nice, as always, but the food was terrible, practically inedible. Why did they change everything? If it wasn't broke, why fix or change it? Again, we are saddened by the change and I cannot guarantee that we'll come back now. read more

Daughter ordered the chicken chimichanga that last visit was so hard to get right...well it was correct tonight and super yummy. The part owner comped the meal since he read my review here at Yelp about that visit where it had gone wrong, and wanted us to know they care about the customer. Now for the food due too menu made of paper , if you need readers make sure you bring them with you lettering very small, larger menu lots to go thru. My meal was excellent i choice steak/chicken special with mushrooms and onions, rice, and salad with lettuce tomatoes and avocado. Ice tea nice tall glass. What happened here?! Had a party of 7 out of towners meet here for dinner last night and it was a really subpar experience. They sat 5 adults and 2 kids in a booth with a small table attached.. they wanted to squeeze all 7 of us in a regular booth to begin with! I have been here with a party of 8 and we were sat a long table, as there are multiple within the restaurant. That was strike one. Strike two, I had to ask for a drink. I came in about 5 minutes later than the rest of the party and they sat me but walked away. The server had to be flagged down multiple times about multiple things (silverware, napkins, drink orders, straws). This has never happened to me here. The food was very slow coming out as well and they brought wrong food to the table. Everyone was plated 3-4 minutes apart from one another so it was awkward for some people to start eating while others waited. The food wasn't very hot... but it still was decent. Everyone ate their entire plate aside from the kids. I am kind of embarrassed that I recommended this place to my out of town and one out of state friend for dinner. I will be back one more time before I write this place off for good. I hope it was just a fluke read more

We went this past Monday because I was craving my favorite and feeling a bit under the weather. Most delicious chicken tortilla soup. Monster portion. Tastes and looks totally homemade with large chunks of fresh avocados, chicken, rice, tortilla strips. Mmmmmmmm...a winter staple for me. We also ordered the pollo con queso appetizer and turned it into a meal by adding some tortillas, cilantro and diced onions. A side of beans. This appetizer is muy beuno. Grilled chicken smothered in smooth yummy queso or Mexican white cheese. Had the flan. Not the best. I enjoyed it more than my husband who found it heavy on the cinnamon, which I agree. Was pleasantly surprised about La Parrilla's food. I live right down the street, but have never been here before. My friend and I both got the beef enchilada and burrito with rice and beans on the side. Exactly what you expect Mexican food to be like. Only complaint was that the amount of cheese on top of the enchilada and burrito was overwhelming and took away from the taste of the meat. The food is plentiful & enough to take home or share with another person. Service is great. I will definitely be back.
