Let me start by saying that this salon used to be one of the best around. I don't know what happened but unless you know for sure your nail tech is good and happens to work here DO NOT GO HERE. I went in on Monday at about 6pm to see if I could get my nails done. The ladies had their coats on, apparently heading out so I asked for an appointment for a full set. Now something told me with the way they kind of nonchalantly disregarded me that I shouldn't have. But I did and I went back. Because again, they always had really good people. But ALWAYS READ THE YELP REVIEWS before visiting a place, I was relying on past experiences and I did not read them. Because if I had I would have saved myself the torture. So I get there. And a guy comes from the back. He's definitely new, and I told him I wanted a new full set so he proceeded to clip around in a manner that was surely going to damage my nails and eventually cause me pain. So I asked for a pedicure. I figured that would give me time to soak my nails off. He put a bowl of acetone ON MY LAP for me to soak both of my hands in. And I had to tell him to get me another bowl so I could have one for each hand so that I'd be able to move my feet the way he needed me to move. That was a mess, my feet are hard and dry now, I'll need to treat them and moisturize them myself over the week myself. I had to ask about cuticle remover and he said he didn't need it. That it was in the soap‍. So after that ordeal, I already knew I should have just left. I mean first of all, the shop was empty. I mean a ghost town. In at least 15 years I have never seen it like this. I can't imagine what happened. Unless one of the good nail techs got their own spot and just everyone went there. But this is not what it used to be. There was no way I was getting a full set so I said just give me a gel manicure instead of a full set. And you have the pictures to see how that turned out. He plucked and pulled at my skin around the nails. I have long nail beds, a good nail tech would not push my cuticles back much because of it. But this guy...I had to tell him that. And he kept tapping my hand and twisting my fingers. I'm double jointed and my hands are abnormally flexible. I don't know how he manages with anyone else. read more

The woman who did my nails was rude. a.) yanked and tugged at my feet instead of using her words b.) adjusted my seat twice without saying anything to me first 4. My daughter goes to school at TCNJ. As a college student, she cannot afford to get her nails and toenails done that often. What was supposed to be a relaxing treat turned into a complete disaster! She kept telling the pedicurist ghat she was digging into her nails and trying to pry out hangnails even though my daughter repeatedly told her to stop! She called someone over to translate and still she did not stop! My daughter had to wait there to pay while she was getting her nails done/fixed! Everyone saw her waiting to pay and no one came up to take her money! She will now need to go and get Neosporin to stop an infection! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I would leave ZERO stars if I could. I came in yesterday to get a manicure and was told I only had a 20 minute wait. I ended up waiting over an hour. By the time I finally got seated, I showed LEO, one of the male nail technicians, what I wanted. He verbalized that he understood I wanted. He was sloppy, impatient, and rushing to finish my nails. His technique was unsanitary, hands were unclean, and continued to work with an exposed open cut wound on his finger. By the time he was finished, I saw he gave me the opposite of what I wanted. When I asked him to fix the nails he got rude, said he had to leave, told me that he couldn't finish the job, and still insisted for me to pay with an overcharged price ($85). He promised me he would fix my nails the next day if I scheduled an appointment. I scheduled the appointment with him then I paid him in cash. I arrived promptly at my appointment time the next day and was told by him that I had to wait at least 40 minutes to get my nails fixed. I was upset and told him I could not wait that long and requested him to give me a refund for the poor service. He had a nasty attitude and told me that they didn't give any refunds. He then proceeded to say disrespectful remarks about me to the client he was working with. I eventually got my nails fixed by another technician. The staff here are VERY rude and unprofessional. I walked in and said I had an appointment for a mani-pedi. No one understood what I was saying. Finally they understood pedicure and told me to go to a chair. I asked 5 times if I should pick a polish. They all yelled at each other and finally handed me a book of colors. Every part of the process was so strange. The water was way too hot, the chair broken. They used one tiny piece of cotton to remove my polish. Clipping and filing my really hurt. They used a very rough exfoliator but only rubbed it in on one leg/foot. The polish was thick and sticky, after about 5 coats of polish I had to tell her it was enough. She got mail polish on my pants trying to pull the legs down. After 10 minutes drying, I was startled when I thought something rubbed up against my foot. It was the manicurist crawling behind me to check my toes... which she ruined because they were still wet. To which she told me 5 more minutes. It's over an hour later and they are still tacky. I passed on the manicure and left. Will never go back. read more

This place is DISGUSTING! Heath Hazard! I went there as a walk-in for a pedicure and it was nearly empty though most nail shops are pretty busy on the weekends. While removing the old polish, the lady attempted to use USED cotton balls from inside a drawer on me. I showed her that they were used as it had polish of another color already on it when she pulled it out. Then lady attempted to use DIRTY/USED tools on me until I made notice that the tools did not come from a sealed, sanitized package. Then she got a sealed package and started to file my nails. I asked for them square and she did them on a diagonal. I had to take the file and square them off myself. After she used the knippers on the cuticles and stuck me 3 times. I told her, "when you see a person jump back, that means you're hurting them". Finally another woman took her place and attempted to finish the pedicure. She polished my nails poorly, realized this, and polished them again. Then she took that off and polished them again (poorly). Then my bottle of polish fell between the chairs and when I went to retrieve it, the amount of dirt, toenails, and other filth that was between/behind the chairs was appalling. I told the lady, "I'm fine. I will polish myself at home. I have been here over 1 1/2 hours". I got out the chair unfinished and annoyed from being nicked repeatedly. After all that, they attempted to charge me the FULL price of the pedicure....I will never ever go there again. This place is a serious health risk! read more

I sat down in the chair and the guy turned the water on. In 10 minutes he hadn't checked on me- water was leaking out the tub- on to my bag and shoes then water sprayed out the tub all over me. I'm soaking wet- guy gets towel to dry the floor and says I must have moved the nozzle while it was filling- which is crap cause the tub was leaking, water level dropped and filling apparatus was exposed and then sprayed at me - but of course it was my fault. Some staff are pleasant and professional overall, I am not a year round regular but overall quality from most seems just ok. Owner is rude seems miserable in general. On last visit didn't bother to look up at me to answer a simple question. Cleanliness is marginal. Ditching them despite them being in a location that is super convenient. read more

My friend and I book our appointments days out. We show up on time the day of- there's one lady in the whole place. I tell her we both have 4:30 appts. She tells us she's the only one there and that we have to get our nails done back to back... uhm no?? That's why we made an appt, so we wouldn't have to waste time waiting for each other. But we're going on vacay and couldn't schedule a diff place in time. So we sucked it up and waited. Both of our nails look like complete shit. She rushed us the entire time and every single person that walked in she rejected with a vague 'oh idk maybe come back tomorrow?'. Totally unprofessional. I go to pay with my gift card and after swiping it a good ten times she tells me she doesn't know how to use it. F it- I pay with my debit card instead. Then she realizes no credit card paper came out, but she also tells me she 'doesn't know how to put new paper in' tf? So then my friend goes to pay with her card and the lady FORCES her to take money out of the ATM instead. Probably because she wanted a tip (LOL) and knew if it was card, she'd need to use the card paper that she was too lazy to change. Safe to say we'll never go back lmao. Absolute WORST experience of my life! I have not met such a blatantly rude person in my entire life and on top of that I received the worst mani and pedi; my 9 year old niece could do a better job! I felt abused, the women who did my nails purposely did everything she could to destroy my nails, was incredibly rough and downright mean and disrespectful with her comments. I have been going to LA nails since 2000 (17 years). I use Mimi and Chao her husband, they are professionals in every way. There is Gina, Queue, Jason, Wendy the veterans they have been there the longest all very good and decent workers. Unfortunately, there are people that come and go in that type of profession, but if you have "legitimate reason" of something that has happen to you, they are very reasonable and due take care of the situation. I called before hand to ask if they did UV Gel removals (i did not get my set done at this salon) , because I was starting a sport and could no longer have long nails. They said they could, and I came in to have them do it. This was my first time at the salon because I am not from here, so I was not sure of their method and didn't want to say anything. However, they started by sanding off the gel polish, and then continuing to sand through the UV gel and into my nail bed. My nails are completely ruined. What was growing out from my cuticle is healthy, but what had gel on it and what they sanded down is thin, weak, and incredibly painful. Not only is it embarrassing to look at, but my nails are so frail because of how sanded down they were. Painting with polish isn't going to help how it looks either, because of the damage they did to the large majority of my nail bed. And it was $10. Do not go here. Took my daughter to get her eyebrows waxed a few days before attending a ball. I watched the guy smooth her eyebrows with a cotton ball (thought he was cleaning the area), waxed them, then applied an oil over it. About 20 mins after, by daughter told me that her eye was swollen. Took a quick look only to find both eyes almost swollen shut! I called immediately to talk to the guy that did them to see what products were used. He tells me just wax and oil. I asked if he'd used any antiseptic or cleanser before the waxing (which I'd thought he did with the cotton ball). His answer... no. Nothing was used to clean before or after. Took her to the ER and was told her skin had actually been ripped off! What irks me was the attitude I got when I called. After speaking with him, I asked to speak to the owner. He placed the phone down and I waited for 10 mins. I called again, was hung up on. Then when I did get to the owner, she put someone else on the phone who told me that it's never happened to anyone else. I'm never going back there again. I feel horrible for bringing her there. Will get them threaded from now on. Lesson learned. My kids been through enough. I really wanted her to feel beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Not sure how her eyes will look for the ball now. Praying that however it does look, that we can work around this mess. read more

I've tried to overlook the blatant laziness and outright rudeness, but the lack of professionalism is what is driving me away for good -- It started with the time they glued their hand to mine while applying acrylics; the time they broke an entire tube of glue onto my clothing; the time they asked me to watch the child that was running around while they ran out and were gone for 10 mins, while I waited for my new acrylics to be painted by someone new, because "I don't like painting them - I just like putting them on." But because they're somewhat cheap and they are so close, I came back for the last time. I couldn't get out of there more quickly. The woman doing my nails this time (a fill) juggled her phone on her shoulder the entire time -- making four separate calls during the 30 minutes I was sitting there. The juggling of the phone lead to my nailbeds being torn apart and bloodied, and the polish being uneven, the nails themselves filed unevenly so they look like my nails are lopsided. Will never go there again! The owner was rude, they didn't have the matching nail polish for my toes (used gel on my hands), very unprofessional and lousy customer service. Did not care that I wasn't happy about the way I was treated, could care less. I refuse to spend my money where I, the customer is treated is such a poor/bad manner. First I waited 15 minutes to be serviced, then I was moved three times to three different stations before a young man from the back (he was nice, apologized for the owner and took good care of me) was called up front to do my nails. I asked why he didn't just take care of me from the beginning and was told they rotate. Well the owner, who started to do my nails at the second station abruptly moved me when her "appointment" arrived. She never said anything to me about why I was pushed aside for a women that just walked in the door. The other younger women told me why when I complained. The owner acts as if she's doing me a favor by allowing me to spend my money there. I will never recommend that nail salon to anyone and hope more customers will stop going there.
