I can not speak to the previous posters experiences here. I eat in or take to go from this place at least once a month. The food is fresh, made to order and right in front of you by a small army of tias. The food is delicious and cheap, I just ordered enough food for 3 people and it can to a grand total of $19.00. They are also opening a new location on Melrose St to house the bar to separate it form the dining room.

Cool place! The same owners have a food stand at ferry point park near the Whitestone bridge on the weekends w some of the same yummy food! My bf is from honduras so im familiar w the food. Try the carne asada, baleadas, and fried chicken.

Super baleada

This was my first time having Honduran food. Restaurant was pretty empty, made me a little skeptical. I was recommended to order super baleada. I had no clue what to expect. When I got it looked like a oversized taco. Baleada was amazing tasted nothing like a taco was super flavorful. I truly enjoyed the food. Down side was that the service was bad. You would think since restaurant was empty they would have paid more attention to us but they didn't.

La súper baleada es más que súper y el pollo chico no decepcionó. Comida increíble con ambiente catracho. Muy recomendado

incredible spread of honduran food, took a normal amount of time to come out, and extremely kind/thoughtful service.

I went in around 6pm and they where hosting a party on one side of the restaurant, I believe it would have been better to close the whole restaurant for the event since regular customers were given a small side of the otherwise small restaurant. Though we were served as quickly as possible it was still crowded with party guests. The waitress came over and took our drink and food orders. I had asked for an Horchata and an order of Pollo Frito con Tajadas (fried chicken over a bed of plantain chips and shredded cabbage). The drinks came out quickly but the food took between 25-30 minutes to come out. Even then it came out in portions snd not all at once for my group of three. My food also came out a little different than what was shown on the menu with all the sauces on the side but instead it came with it already all over the food. Normally I don't enjoy the red sauce as much and would have preferred it not on the dish. My groups other meals took more time to come out and they had some issues with what they had ordered. I believe ir was because of the party that they were all distracted. Overall I will have to come try again 4/5

The food was good, but I am used to food with a lot of spices and some heat. Honduran food is not spicy, but I am glad that I tried it. The food is cooked fresh so you will wait a few minutes. The prices are very reasonable and budget friendly. The staff speaks little to no English so either speak the language or have a translation tool.

My favorite was the Chuletas Kan Kan special since the pork was crispy without being dry. They definitely make it fresh since I saw them picking out the piece of pork to cook once I had ordered it. Rice and beans are so flavorful. Soup and Cubano tasted great too. It's a small and popular restaurant, so they typically will ask you to wait outside until a table is ready. We came around 2pm on a holiday and had to wait 20-25 minutes in the cold, but it was well worth it. Servers are super nice and accommodating. Cash only!

We paid about $60 for takeout, which included two servings of rice, two servings of beans, chicken, two bistecs, and tostones. Considering the portions were fairly small, I didn't feel the price matched the amount of food we received. As a Puerto Rican who cooks these dishes regularly, I know I can prepare the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost. The only reason we ordered takeout was because I wasn't feeling well enough to cook that day. While the food tasted good, the value just wasn't there for me. Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I don't see myself going back there again.

Please believe the hype, this is your abuelas cooking. Arroz con gandules, pernil and sorullo with cheese and gauyaba was fire.

The staff are nice and helpful- prices are also not bad. I'll give it two stars instead of one mostly because of the cleanliness and attitude of the staff. I hate to give a bad review but I ordered a regular chicken burrito and paid for avocado to be added. No avocado was added, my burrito was tasteless and my horchata juice tasted like anything but horchata. It's upsetting mostly because I was the only person in the place. So there was no excuse whatsoever for this.

I ordered beef and chicken empanadas, if you ever had even an alright Colombian empanada, you would be mad, this had chuncks of chicken and did not have flavor, pan de bono was hard as a rock and the bandeja paisa was the worse, the beans looked like they were poured straight from a can to the container, and taste it that way too, the rice taste old, as if it had been in the fridge and reheated. Meat was dry and tasteless and the egg way overcooked, looked as left over from breakfast. The plantain was bad not green not ripe enough. On top of that small portions for the price $16.00. Do not advertise this place as Colombian food. Food was the worse l have ever had. I had to throw it out.
