We are here tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. I picked the location simply because it was close to The Zoo. Alex was an amazing server. I was in a party of 10 - some of the others had never had Peruvian food before. He promptly took the orders for my children first (without even being asked), and then came back to give recommendations to everyone else I our party. The grilled octopus was delicious and tender. My son's chicken breast was tasty and juicy. I ordered something and based on Alex's recommendation, I had the green spaghetti instead and it was so great that everyone else on the table also wanted to try it. My husband had a fried whole fish and it came out hot and crispy - despite it being fried, it was not greasy. We could not have had a better experience tonight. A+ staff and A+ food. We would definitely go again. read more

Excellent service, delicious food, abundant portions. Authentic Peruvian food ! The Ceviche is deliciously fresh, the Jalea Mixta is always more than what you expected, the Filete de pescado a lo Macho is to die for. Ah!, and don't dare to leave with out having dessert. I just moved to this area and have been exploring the restaurants nearby and was happy when I found this Peruvian place. I absolutely love Peruvian food. The food was definitely good, I wouldn't say the best though as I had a favorite up in Weston. But the portions are good, quality is good and will sedition eat there again. We had the Lomo saltado, ají de gallina and the papa a la huancaina which were all great dishes. read more

What an amazing selection of Peruvian dishes. I celebrated my 50's with friends and family and they all enjoyed the delicious food from La Perla. Never disappoints and the amount they gave us was more than enough. Its three days later and we are still enjoying our Peruvian food. I only come to this place for lunch with clients that are close or like this place. Gotta say that I reviews this restaurant years ago and gave it five star rating when it first opened, but a lot has changed since then. Few months back ordered ceviche take out and when I asked waiter what type of fish they used he replied corvina, but when I got home quickly realized it was tilapia. This place really is a pearl! Decided to try this place after seeing all the great reviews... the civiche mixta was wonderful. Had a good mix of seafood, the tang was just right...and super fresh. The pescado a lo macho is lightly fried fish topped with a mix of seafood that is cooked in what looks like a tomato sauce, I really enjoyed it although I am not a talapia fan. The calamari rings, octopus, muscles and scallops were tender...not chewy. There are several peruvian restaurants close to where I work in Kendall...but this is by far the best I have had and the one I will go to from now on. read more

Ordered take out from La Perla a couple of days ago without a hitch. We placed an order over the phone and were told that it would be 20 minutes. Our food was ready upon arrival and the order was correct. The food was delicious we ordered the fish and shrimp ceviche and lomo saltado. It was everything you would expect from a solid Peruvian restaurant! read more

First I just want to start with this - I usually always get causa when I go eat Peruvian and honestly, the causa here is the best that I've had so far!!! Service was good and fast. I came here about 2 weeks ago and came back again tonight. I really enjoyed the food here. We had some of the tuna and chicken causa, fried yuca and lomo saltado. The place is located in a shopping center, but, do not be alarmed by the setting, the food is very good. FYI - the tip is included at the end, but, the waiter did a great job we had to make sure to give him a good tip. If you want something fast and good, this place is good. read more

Went to eat here today for lunch and I usually love this place. However today I am feeling super ripped off. We ordered 1/2 chicken and extra huancaina sauce. They only ever brought one little sauce. When my bill came at the end I asked the lady why $3.50 for one sauce she said that is what the cost is. At El Tambo the sauce is complimentary and when you ask for extra it's not more than $1.50 and this is me exaggerating the cost. Point is she tried to justify it by saying oh it's because of the ingredient. To be completely honest with you it was one of the worst Huancaina sauces I've ever had. Plus I make it at home so I know the cost. Horrible service and what a rip off! I attached my receipt for all to see. Crazy!! I could have bought half a meal with the price of that shitty sauce read more

It just seemed like someone lightly buttered the bread, barely warmed it up, and sent it out. When I opened the sandwich, it was even worse there was hardly any ham or pork inside. Honestly, it looked sad. I was so disappointed, I ended up tossing it in the trash. I mean, it's one thing to mess up a random order, but this was a Cuban sandwich from a Cuban restaurant. That's the signature item. How do you get that wrong? The rest of the food was okay, not great, but edible, so at least my guests had something to eat. Still, I'm the one who chose the place and really wanted to enjoy my meal, and they completely missed the mark. I'm giving El Rinconcito Cubano of Kendall a one-star review based on tonight's experience. To be fair, I've had good meals here in the past, so I'd be open to giving them another shot down the road. Great food at great prices.the place isn't much to look at but the food is exceptional. I specifically enjoy the cebiche as well as the seafood rice. The loom saltado is so big two people can eat from it. They just opened a chicken place as part of the restaurant and it is superb. My visit to La Pera was a disaster. First off the restaurant was way too overcrowded, it smelled like a factory. Second, talk about overpriced! 8 bucks for a potato! On top of that, service was slow and when I did receive my dish, which was flan, it tasted like a kitchen sponge sprinkled with caramel sauce. Next time I'll go to Taco Bell. read more

I came here for the first time expecting good authentic peruvian food and what i came to try was more like chinese food that was extremely greasy with no real flavor. I think I was probably the rare statistic for a bad cook the day that i went so Im not sure whether ill be back. read more

Great Peruvian style chicken... I normally order to go so I just run in and pick up sometimes they can be a bit slow. Other than that I have no complaint. Staff is usually nice and attentive but don't always speak english great so be patient with them . read more

I usually stick to the usual lomo saltado but today I tried the chaufa. Not loaded with soy sauce and generous piece of meat, enough for 2 to eat, maybe even 3 depending on the appetite. The pesto rissoto was creamy and the pesto wasn't overwhelming the dish; it was the right amount of pesto and blended well with their lomo. However I still prefer the huancaina risotto. Big fan of this Aromas location over Palmetto Bay and will continue to come. Our server Mayte was wonderful.

Food: The dinner rolls where warm, fluffy and fresh. lomo saltado : the fried where extra crispy rice was nice and fluffy the meat was tender and perfectly season and cooked. The sauce was a bit concentrated or over reduced. It was a very strong flavor, not necessarily bad but just a note. Risotto lomo salvaje: Risotto has great texture and flavors sauce was a bit over reduce like in the prior dish. The service was great, always paying attention to detail and water levels. They also took our left overs to the back and packed them themselves! There was one small con: the aromas. I'm not sure if it was from the cigar shop next door or something else like incense or candle aromatic, while my nose mead able to tune it out within a few minutes, my pregnant wife was not able to. The staff did take notice and came to ask if everything was ok , as they noticed her covering the nose, we said yes as we thought it was just the cigar store. It wasn't until we rode home we noticed we had that smell on us. Also another note: gratuity was auto included. However they make it better clear in the receipt with a huge red stamp that it is included and the host also reminded when she brought the terminal to pay.
