Great place for Colombian cuisine :) I highly recommend the bandeja paisa, the sancocho de costilla, and hígado encebollado is always my favorite! Great experience!!! A friend has been recommending this place and we finally went! There was live music and the place is super cute and clean! The waitress recommended some items and we loved them all! The food came out quickly ! We had the chicharron with Arepa for appetizer and it was so delicious. I had the churassco and this was probably the best one I've ever had!!! The icing on top is their prices!!! Very affordable for the amount of food you get! Highly recommend! Will be back! read more

The food was delicious and fresh. Had a good time with friends. We spent a fairly long time there and were never rushed to leave. We were welcomed with a cup of broth. Loved their sancocho. The large sized came with rice, banana and a tortilla. read more

Wow such a hidden gem in the heart of Kendall! Absolutely delicious! Employees are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their menu even the owner is such a kind soul! They're taking social distance to the T and they offer outdoor seating. I ordered a Patacón con todo wow the patacón was such crunchy yet tender and all their proteins were very well seasoned. We also ordered a hot dog with everything, 2 arepas and their Lulo Mousse (divine!) Plenty of parking spaces! I wish I would've tried their soups as I am a soup lover but it was so hot outside but once they have indoor seating I will be visiting in a heartbeat ! Menu includes an assortment of traditional dishes from Colombia. To start off I got a free mini styrofoam cup of chicken broth which was scalding hot but full of flavor. My usual go to meal is the bandeja paisa which comes with avocado, white rice, red beans, chicharrones, grilled steak or you can get ground beef, maduros an egg an arepa, and pork sausage. I chose steak and it was flavorful and juicy. Chicharrones are always crispy and not too oily. The red beans taste like home and are thick and delicious. The day I went there was a live singer performing which was quite nice and the plaza in which the place is located has free parking and many spaces as well which is convenient. I'm not Colombian, so this may skew the review. The food was a bit bland. It's want bad- just rather bland. The steak, the rice, beans... it was all really lacking salt. The chicharrones were expertly fried. The sausage and morcilla were excellent. The arepas were white hockey pucks. This place isn't inexpensive, but not upper echelon food either, in my opinion. Service was good and there's live music on Saturday's apparently. All in all, ok. read more

This place is good for its steak and chicharrón! Yummmm! I was not a fan of the lengua (tongue) because it was too chewy. But the bandeja paisa was excellent!! I have to come back! I've been to this shopping center a thousand times and never had tried out this colombian restaurant. With the cold front passing by we wanted to eat some Sancocho so we decided to go pay them a visit. The restaurant felt like a little cozy Paisa Cabin, as soon as we walked in we were helped and seated right away. Service was outstanding. We opted to have empanadas (they were a little bland) and bandeja paisa, they gave us some complementary soup as an appetizer, and it was really good, the best of everything we ordered lol. Everything was very well presented and the portions good, although the beans and meat could use a little more seasoning, the sausage tasted too much like "Cumin" so i left it. At the end i did a check in and it showed a coupon of a 10 percent off, when i showed it to the waitress she went to get the manager and the lady told us that she didn't know what it was and it was probably a mistake. Overall experience was very good but the food itself was just ok, prices are more on the high side for the type of food it is. I will probably go back to try out the Sancocho and give them second chance. read more

Was looking for a spot in the kendall area for breakfast but a place I've never been to and decided to hit up Mayoral Restaurant. It's Colombian and i love there food. The prices are great and they had a pretty good breakfast selection with prices under $10. Located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Once inside I decided on a hot chocolate with sunny side up eggs & bacon with an arepa. It was $6.95 not bad but wasn't the best breakfast. My love ordered the scrambled eggs with the works and pretty much the same sides as me also same price. It was an okay breakfast I was more into what was offered for lunch and dinner that caught my eye. They also have great specials and most likely would come for lunch or dinner instead of breakfast. The service was quick and friendly. Also make sure to check in they offer 10% off your bill for lunch or dinner. read more

This Colombian place was alright. I was excited to try this place after reading positive reviews, however the arepa the choclo did not look like any arepa de cholo that I've had. It tasted like the arepa was just microwaved and the cheese wasn't even melted. The bandeja paisa was the only decent part. The pan de Bonos you can tell where put in the microwave because they were soggy and when I bit into it you can taste that they were frozen. read more

Found this place close to home. Very authentic Colombian meal, very tasty pork belly's are delicious. I had the Calentado for breakfast very good. Coming back for more! Favorite Colombian restaurant in Kendall, hands down. They have pandebonos, empanadas, bueñuelos all of your basic Colombian antojitos. Their breakfast is great, their Colombian street food, as well as their specialties. The Bandeja Paisa (although I need a carne molida option) and Ajiaco are delicious and come in large servings which is always appreciated Their customer service, also phenomenal. The girls in the front are super nice and accommodating. I ordered from Uber Eats today, and as always everything was delicious. They missed something however they did offer to have it sent to me again. Can't say anything bad about this place, definitely recommend to everyone. read more

I really loved the service specifically from the waiter Jorge , he was really professional and caring . The food is good as well but the beans were not to die for as the other colombian beans , maybe it was just that day , maybe they ran out and had to cook another batch in short time. They taste good but a little hard, although I wanted the beans because they dont make them with meat. Summarizing it is worhit to try it, they different options . Remeber the waiter's name Jorge , even if you dont like something he will do his best for you to have a great time. read more

This place is somewhat wheelchair friendly but it could be better. I wanted to give this place more stars. This first time I was here, it was awesome! I live extremely close and the other Colombian restaurant leaves much to be desired. The food was yummy. I know no other word to describe how we felt the first time we ate there. It was like eating my abuelita's cooking. The second time we ordered for delivery. It was great too. Everything was packaged well. The third time was really bad. It was the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Everyone's meal was extra salty. There was no way to salvage this meal. However, my sister enjoyed the desserts. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice. I was worried about the lit candles so close to the flags. There is one in the bathroom that I blew out because I don't want to catch on fire while I'm somewhat naked. The place is very colorful and it has a bar. It's casual and I'm sure if there's a soccer game, it will be on one of their large screen TVs. The place is difficult to spot unless you know exactly where to look. Tell others it's across from Taco Bell. Once they figure out who added all of that salt, I highly recommend you go there for delicious Colombian cuisine. read more

La picada amazing for about 6 ppl not 2 it's A LOT , the bandeja paisa yummy , BUT MY FAV IS THE PUNTA DE ANCA with guac , papá la criolla and yuca frita i struggle to finish. The server and good where simply excellent, what I think was the manager approached us and ask if all was ok. We ordered a mayoral picada for 5 of us. It was exquisitedly cooked and full of all kinds of meats, chicken, potatoes, fried yucca, blood sausage,pork. Waow..I would definitely go back, we had so much we had to take home leftovers. I find this absolutely shocking, as most Colombian restaurants are so welcoming and polite. I ask for my order and they tell me to wait a moment. About another 5 minutes go by and they bring out my order horribly covered with some aluminum foil. In the car I grabbed an empanada to have a taste and it is all burned inside and out. When I got to my gathering I removed the aluminum foil and about 10 empanadas were in the same badly burned condition. These empanadas cost a little over $2 a piece! I paid $90+!! I understand Saturday was the Colombia game and they must have been swamped, but if you can't provide quality product, don't overwhelm yourself by taking on more than your kitchen can handle. The oil must not have been the right temperature cause the empanadas were extremely greasy. Luckily we were able to place them on some paper towels to soak up the grease and most of them were consumed. Everyone said that the taste was decent, but they were definitely over fried. I have no idea what their food and service is if you dine in, however I highly recommend not ordering out. There's much better Colombian places.

I used to frequent this restaurant because the food was consistently good. While the food is still decent, the pricing practices have become unacceptable. I was charged a 3.5% "processing fee." When I asked what it was for, I was told it was for paying with a credit card. The problem? I had never even told them I was paying with a credit card at that point. Then I noticed they charged 8% sales tax. Since when is sales tax in Miami 8%? That immediately raised another red flag. To top it all off, when the payment screen came up, the suggested gratuity options went as high as 24%. By the time you add the inflated tax, the processing fee, and a tip, you're looking at paying well over 36% on top of your meal. Restaurants deserve to make a fair profit, but customers also deserve transparency and honest pricing. Hidden fees and excessive add-ons leave a bad taste, regardless of how good the food is. Unfortunately, Bamboo has lost a longtime customer. I hope management rethinks these practices before they drive away more loyal patrons. Very sad! Then they wonder why the restaurant is empty.
