Upon sitting down we give our drink orders and my friend asked for a spicy margarita and after explaining what it was, we told our waitress to basically make a regular margarita and add a jalapeño to it. Okay cool. We're brought out some chips and crema. Okay cool. We eat and ask for our leftovers to go. Okay cool. Fun part! We now get the bill and see we have to pay for the chips we thought were brought out complimentary, pay for the jalapeño in the margarita & pay additional for the take out containers. We've been to this spot many times--it's a typical, vibrant Hispanic place in Miami, and it was actually my mother-in-law's favorite. We came here after her funeral service to honor her, and it really felt like the right choice. Despite it being Father's Day, they were able to accommodate our large party of over 30 pretty quickly, which was impressive. The food was delicious as always, and the music added a nice energy to the experience. Service was a bit mixed--my table was well taken care of, but others in our group had to track down waiters just to get water and drinks, and the food was served almost 1 hour after the rest of us which was disappointing. All in all, it was a meaningful meal, and we appreciated having a place where we could come together as a family and remember someone we loved. read more

Price is $25/$30 but it is so worth it! Great starter for groups of 3-5 people. You can down one by yourself but chances are you won't have space for the pupusas! In the video you'll see pupusas de frijol con queso and the Salvadorian favorite queso con loroco. So good! Only thing I noticed was that they were oily and the masa was falling apart. My family and have been going here for years and every time we come food is pretty good but the servers are trash! This was one of my favorite lunch spots when I worked in the area and I still try to stop by when I'm in the area. My personal favorite dishes are Pollo a la Parrilla (Grilled Chicken Breast) and Pollo a la Parmigiana con Pasta (Chicken Parmesan with pasta). The staff is always welcoming and caring and happy to offer suggestions or alteration on menu items. The meals are filling and the prices are pretty reasonable. We have yet to come here and not leave satisfied! The atmosphere of the restaurant is pretty laid back and relaxed. Great for groups or dining alone. I went there with friends, and I told them about this place, very nice food and púpusas and don't forget about the soup. Amazing soup if you are in hangover try the " Mariscada with milk". Beers are colder as North Pole and service is outstanding, but there is an observation that I noticed in the previous visit. The waitress was a bit lost. As I see it maybe she was in another place. I ask her for something simple a glass of water without ice and she gave me the water with ice after asking for the water 3 times already. That's it. 1 star off because of that. Despite my 4 star rating this is an OG spot for my fiancé and I. We have been here countless times during our relationship and continue to come here with our children. If you're looking for Central American cuisine you're pretty much in the right spot and a affordable price point. We have always had great service here and the food has always been up to par. The only thing I HATE here is going on the weekends. Why? Because this is kind of an oldie hangout spot for old Hispanics so they have Karaoke and some guy selling beads and small paintings, another lady selling burned DVDs. It's always obnoxiously loud during this time and just not a spot to go with the kids. Other than that the food is great, the sopa de cola, the appetizer sampler and the pupusas are amazing! So this place was recommended to me by my friend. She warned me by telling me its not the great environment for our age haha, but the food is very good. This place is full of thieves and they use their loud music to say they didn't hear you well on what you ordered then they charge you for stuff you didn't ask for. Their service is horrible always has been, before and after covid. And now their crappy food is even more expensive. Tell me how they offer you sauces etc but don't inform you that it's extra.
