Awesome place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack! They are in the Tropicana Hotel, Quarter section. It's set up so you can watch them prepare your crepe. Lots of different options as well. I've only had the breakfast ones, there were two. Both were very good. You can take it to go or they have a few tables where you can eat in. They have plenty of options for drinks as well. If you're staying at the hotel, you can also charge the meal to your room. The staff are really nice here as well. read more

I asked the security guard at the boardwalk entrance where the crepe place was, and she excitedly told us where the place with the nutella ones were. So that was a good sign. After making it through the Tropicana labyrinth (and finding a map to put us on the correct path). It's a small place with like 3-4 tables. I'm glad there was one open as I wasn't staying there and there's not really anywhere else to eat it. But I got a table so I was excited. They have coffee, waffles, sundaes, sweet, and savory crepes. I had to go with a sweet crepe - the dulce de leche included sponge cake, banana, and dulce de leche and chocolate sauce. It was fun to walk the employee pour the batter and assemble the crepe. If it was busy, it seems like it could really back up as it takes several minutes to cook and assemble. The crepe was sweet, thin like expected, and worked very well with an additional scoop of ice cream. A nice blend of flavors, and one is big enough for 2 people. It ended up being a filling dessert without being too heavy, and a nice casual spot to get a nice dessert. I'm glad I did end up finding this and will look forward to returning. read more

Nice, decent spot to try if you are in the mood for crepes. They also sell waffles, ice cream, coffee, premade macaroons and other premade desserts. Small little cafe inside the Tropicana with a few tables and chairs. Staff was very friendly, professional and sweet. It's nice because you can watch them make the crepes right in front of you and the ingredients were all fresh. I ordered the triple berry crepe and my mom ordered the banana foster. This place has pretty good crepes, though I feel I've had better where I live. I tried the Nutella crepe as well as the steak and egg breakfast crepe. Service was a bit slow but the workers here are very friendly. If you come for breakfast, I advise you to get there early. They only have a small amount of tables to dine-in and they fill up very quickly! I did notice that while I was waiting for my food to go, most people at the tables did not have food in front of them. To me that's a bad sign that your service is slow, however the crepes were good. They were just a bit too thick in my opinion and inconsistent, as one crepe was super thin and the other was so thick I could barely cut it. We happened by this place while exploring the Tropicana Casino and Hotel and what a find it was. Excellent service! We were greeted with a smile and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We both ordered the Banana Foster Crepes. The crepe was light, flavorful, fresh and had the perfect amount of balance of all the ingredients. While we were eating our crepes a gentleman came to clear off some of the tables and asked us how were enjoying our crepes and asking if we needed anything. I stumbled upon this small crepe shop located inside Tropicana hotel and decided to try one savory and one dessert crepe. I cannot remember the name of the dessert crepe but it had banana and pieces of Cheesecake in it which was a cool concept but ended up making the texture dry. The monsieur crepe had Gruyere cheese, black forest ham, egg, mustard sauce. I liked it better than the dessert crepe. I didn't care for the dessert crepe as much but I think that is more due to my ordering of something that doesn't fit my taste as opposed to the quality of the crepe and the chef's ability to make a good crepe. I liked that the interior had little cafe chairs and tables that resembled the outdoor ones you'd see in France. My 1st job as a teen in high school was at a crepe shop so I have fond memories of making and eating crepes. These crepes were the kind you eat with fork and knife on a plate as opposed to the Japanese style that has a bit more crunch to it and is eaten in a cone. I've been to Tropicana a few times and walked by this place quite often. I should have stuck to my initial instinct and gone to one of the local cafes, but I decided to give this a shot, regretfully. A good crepe isn't hard to make, so a making a bad crepe is a definite feat. This was the worst crepe place I've EVER eaten at. I got one of their breakfast crepes that contained meat and eggs, cheese and some sauce (Meat lovers I believe). It was so bland. The crepe itself was thick and doughy. To those that know crepes, you know a decent crepe is on the thinner side with a bit of crisp on the edges and a bit of nice browning for color. This was the complete opposite. On top of that, the meat I had (sausage I think?) were little gray lumps of bland mystery meat. When I think of breakfast and sausage, I think of sliced sausage links, which was what I expected. The issue we have here may or may not have been some form of racial discrimination I hope that is not the case but I will describe the events as we witnessed them. the worker behind the counter is Hispanic, as we enter the restaurant we place our orders and shortly after we place our orders a separate people enter who are also Hispanic, my significant other and I are African American. The issue arises because even as we entered and ordered first the other couples food gets prepared first anyway. Now this is wrong and unprofessional to begin with but we would have been able to put up with it if it were not for the fact that in the process of making our food second she burned our wraps causing them to break and crumble as she folded them and gave them to us any way. This may seem petty in nature but the decrease in quality due to her negligence is sort of insult to injury as minute as it may be. We ordered from there the previous day and the food was otherwise exceptional which made this all that more irritating to have to deal with. As a side note the previous day she had at least two other people with her working and this day she was alone. Even if she took somebody else's order first it would have been made up for with another person watching the food and helping. efficiency was not made a priority and as a result corners were cut. I do not wish for her to lose her job or have any serious punishment, but a reminder of efficiency and workplace professionalism is certainly needed. read more

i ordered a crepe and watched the girl make it, everything was fine until she opened the refrigerator and take out a container of sliced strawberries, open the container and scoop out the strawberries to a smaller container with the same gloves that she was wearing from god knows when. At that point i was disgusted but she then put the container back in the fridge and proceeded to touch the crepes to fold them. I looked at that and said to her you just touched all that why are you touching the crepes again? She said its ok because nobody opens the fridge without a glove. In what world is that ok? I asked for a refund and they told me the manager has to come, the manager comes and proceeds to speak in spanish in front of me which i didn't feel comfortable. If this was a different situation i wouldnt have minded what language anyone speaks at their place of work but this is not ok. This company should train the employees again with how they should treat customers in a situation like this and have them get food handling licenses which i dont think any of them have. read more
