The service and staff were great! The location phenomenal. I rarely provide negative reviews, but here I will break tradition. The pizza was, without question, the worst pizza I have had in years. It was dry with no perceivable sauce and slightly burnt/ overcooked. The tossed side salad was bitter, but the amber beer was good. My wife ordered a red sangria and it was un-drinkable. She sent it back and ordered a rose which was good. I cannot recommend this restaurant despite how much I liked the staff. It would get a minus 1 or more on food. It was the worst food experience we've had during our Montréal and Quebec City trip. However, we dined at Matto a previous night and our son had pizza there. It was incredibly good and slightly less expensive. For the love of God, Go there!!

Super cute place. Great/kind waiter. I had the Caprese Salad- I prefer more balsamic but the dish was great. Beautiful tomatoes and delicious mozz. cheese. I ordered pizza #17 (had the tomato sauce, cream, goat cheese, pesto & tomatoes). Incredible. I love goat cheese and they put the perfect amount! The pesto was delicious as well. The menu says it's homemade- job well done. My friend had pizza #1 and the Sangria Lemonciello - so good! I 100% recommend and would definitely come back.

Pizza was okay. It wasn't too special. I think y was too pricey for the taste and small..

It's very hard to give a rating for this. On the positive side, the pizza that we had was very good and the seating on the old cobblestone square was pleasant. On the negative side, when we were there only one waiter and one cook were working so it took a very long time to get our food even though they were working hard. Most people were patient though a few people left after waiting a long time to be seated. More people probably would have left but many restaurants in The Old Lower Town weren't open for lunch or had no tables available which didn't leave many options.

We spent the morning at the Musée de civilization. It was a close walk. We enjoyed the Sangria Grand Marnier and also the Sangria Limoncello. The limoncello tasted like we were on a beach. Got the #17 pizza and side salads. My friend said that pizza was in her top 5 of all time and I would agree. So fresh and tasty! Then...our waitress offered to bring out the dessert menu ie. a board of examples. They were all beautiful I wish I took a photo of that. But I selected the last one on the board described to me as "pumpkin pie like". My friend ordered Creme brûlée. Her Creme brûlée was perfect and very tasty but MY dessert...it was like angels singing and the clouds parting on a cloudy day and those few rays of sunshine were shining on ME in that restaurant. There are few times in your life you find perfection and this was one of mine. Speechless. Creamy, spicy, soft, crunchy. SO DELICIOUS. I ordered a second one to go and that didn't make it out of the restaurant. We asked and they were homemade. If you have to, just GO THERE for the desserts!

    Wonderful manager.

First dinner in Quebec City. Couldn't have picked a better place. The Bolognese Penne and Meat Lasagna was excellent. Service by Gabriel was very welcoming, too! Lovely Raspberry pastry!

We had a great trip to Quebec City and some amazing dining experiences in even more amazing restaurants that came highly recommended but difficult to get a reservation so we were thrilled to find a great less frilly, less pretentious place to dine that didn't require a reservation but was so good with great vibes we needed up ding there twice. We highly recommend this restaurant which has great tasting food and good vibes...especially if weather permits you to sit outside for some fun people watching. The service is excellent with very friendly staff (not always the case in this city) and very good food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We had the pheasant salad and the number six Pizarro split the first time and both were so good we went back again the next evening and had the Cesar salad, lasagna (yummy) and a different pizza which was as yummy as the first. Do not hesitate to eat at this restaurant in spite of the many choices you have here this place delivers on taste!

Greek pizza, feta olives spinach and red onion. Wash it down with a strong Quebec bier.

Picture this: soft snow falling on the cobblestone streets of Petit-Champlain, fairy lights glowing, and the warm light spilling out of this beautiful little café. I ducked in both mornings of my short trip and could have happily stayed all day. The interior is perfect Québécois charm: exposed stone walls, wooden beams, cozy lighting, and that unbeatable smell of fresh baking. First morning I ordered the pistachio latte and the quiche Florentine. I would legitimately sell my firstborn for that pistachio latte: silky, perfectly balanced, with a rich, natural pistachio flavor that no syrup could ever match. One sip and I was ruined for life. The quiche was flawless: buttery, flaky crust, creamy spinach-and-cheese filling, baked to golden perfection. Absolute breakfast heaven. I braved a full-on snowglobe blizzard the next morning just to come back. This time I paired the same life-changing pistachio latte with the almond croissant. I'd hand over my other kid for daily access to these croissants (kidding... mostly). Impossibly crisp and flaky outside, cloud-soft inside, generously stuffed with fragrant almond paste, topped with toasted almonds and powdered sugar. I ate it slowly by the window while the snow piled up on Rue Notre-Dame and honestly felt like the luckiest person alive. The baristas were friendly, the vibe warm and unhurried, and everything was flawless. If you're in Quebec City, make La Maison Smith non-negotiable (and budget time to visit at least twice). Five stars isn't enough. This place is winter-morning perfection.

The latte I get had a weak taste of espresso and tasted a bit more watery than I'd like. I got a pastry in the morning. Nothing special but also nothing bad. Perhaps their other drinks are better but my latte was simply okay. Service was fast and prompt though.

I chose this restaurant because several google reviewers said the food was on par with Michelin restaurants. I definitely agree. Also the price of the meal is a fraction of what I would normally pay for the same quality of food and service in the US. The meal was so special it felt like an anniversary dinner.

Le 101 had 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor but hardly anything on Yelp. Stunning! Ambiance was very relaxed and welcoming for quite an upscale place and our server was extremely attentive. Best choice, probably the gravlax and pate-croute but also the omelette was delicious. Definitely go for the waffles as a dessert, the blueberries were right in season. If/when we are back in Quebec City, we may consider staying at their Bed and Breakfast as well. If I'd be able to give 10 stars, I'd do that too. Amazing.
