Wanted to find an Italian restaurant that served pizza and Bello Ristorante was down the street. We did not have reservations and even through we were there really early, we almost didn't get seated. The place was busy. We ordered and had drinks. There was a nice flow to the restaurant. It wasn't what I expected, I was thinking of a neighborhood pizza place. This was an elegant Italian restaurant with a really nice menu so we decided to forgo the pizza and order dishes to try. They offer half portions on many dishes which was a really nice option as well. I had the Pesto pasta and it was delightful. My husband had the lasagna and our friends also had pasta and the French Onion soup. Along with our meal we had the Calamari and I enjoyed a Paloma. All gave their meals 2 thumbs up.

A great restaurant and one of the busier ones in Old Quebec City. I highly recommend reservations. The food is phenomenal as is the service. I highly recommend the Fried Parmiginao amd the pastas. The Tagliatelle was especially good with a savory sweet component.

Oh, Hello Bello! If you love Italian food, definitely make reservations for Bello in Quebec City. Luckily our hotel made these last minute bar reservations for us and we were so glad that he did. Sexy ambiance, with their low lights and clubbish-vibes but in a good way. The music mood was an excellent one. Servers are very distiguished and polished. Extreme elegance here but don't worry you don't have to get all dressed up but I would recommend wearing something nice. Upon being greeted by a friendly host we were seated at the bar which is usually our normal spot. Our bartender was very friendly and efficient. We started off with a glass of Montepulciano red wine and Arancini. My husband also had French Onion Soup which he said was the best ever. I ordered a salad for myself. Since they are known for Italian we shared their Proscuitto Pizza. It was well cooked and crispy just to our liking. The dough wasn't all that heavy either. We also ordered one of their coffee drinks which was half Baileys, half Frangelico topped with Espresso. They were so good and perfect to end our meal with. I know I am going to try and make them at home sometime. Bello is definitely a restaurant to dine in while visiting Quebec. It was expensive but again definitely worth it. I know we will be back hopefully next year again. Cheers!

Service was a bit lacking for this type of restaurant. They forgot my drink twice and never got my water. Scallop risotto - was good, but I've had better. I would try something else. Scallops were overcooked and risotto was a bit too salty. Tiramisu - the lady fingers weren't soaked in coffee and it's a dry lady finger.not impressed.

Little did I know that Quebec City had such great Italian food until our tour guide told us. We tried Bello since we thought it was cool it was the same name as the Minionese word for hello. We were beyond impressed and had such unique food we haven't had before including the Tagliatelle All'Anatra which comprises of Tagliatelle, duck confit, cloth-wrapped foie gras, pine nut, mascarpone, and fig chutney and the Tonno Cotta A Metà which contains Seared tuna, mango and tequila emulsion, grilled vegetables, quinoa, almonds, artichokes. We also had Canadian beer and red wine. The service was great and the ambiance was similiar to La Buche, their sister Quebecois restaurant, but with an Italian flair. The newspaper style menu was a particularly amazing touch.

My wife and I stopped by on our cruise stop. We shared a pizza (pepperoni, mushroom and peppers) and a Caesar salad. The use bacon on the salad instead of anchovies. The salad was very flavorful and the pizza was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Inside the old walls of Quebec City at dinnertime I was skeptical of almost every restaurant I saw. Desperate not to wind up in a tourist trap with awful food, as had happened recently in Montreal, spotting Bello was a relief. It traded in Italian fare, not French, had a buzz about it owing to a modern ambiance, and sported enough diners that I feared I might not be able to get a seat. Happily, I was seated here without a reservation but the first seat they supplied was at the bar (no problem) and right in the heat path of the nearby pizza oven (huge problem). When I said there was no way I could sit there - voila - a table magically appeared. So speak up. Bello's pastas aren't, unfortunately, made in house but they make up for that with comically large portions. Seeing the volume of pasta on other plates, I was happy to have ordered only a half-serving of Linguini Bolognese. Accompanied by a bottle of wine and a Calamari Fritti starter, it was clear I'd made a good choice this time. Perhaps you're not in French Canada seeking Italian fare but if what you really want is a place where you can get a satisfying meal inside the walls of Old Quebec, Bello is a very good option.

Great Rigatoni Carbonara and Taglatelle Canard. Arancini appetizer to die for. Taste buds exploded. Maria very good and attentive.

Beautiful building and I am learning that most restaurants in this city are open space with no AC so it was uncomfortably warm. Service was efficient and food came out of the kitchen fairly quick. We had the linguini meat sauce bolognese. Light on the marinara sauce but delicious. They offer half or full portions. We also had the scallop risotto. The sautéed scallops were tender and sweet. This dish also was good. Overall, good food not great but worth a stop in. So many options in the city to choose from making a second trip here unlikely for me.

This was our first time at Bello Ristorante ,Every single one of us enjoyed the food and service. The ambiance was so good and welcoming . Julien and Abdel are for sure playing a big role in getting the 5 star review for the restaurant ! Thank you.

The servers here seem to work in tandem helping out wherever needed so we had two different people waiting on us throughout our meal which was cool! To start off with drinks we ordered a limoncello spritz and a fruitatto spritz. The fruit one was by far my favorite, but I'd also dangerous because you could drink them all day like water lol. The limoncello was delicious as well, just be mindful if you're not a limoncello person or have had it before that it'll be a strong flavor when you sip it! For our food we shared the Parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer, the Spag pollo (pasta with chicken, tomatoes, and veggies), and the 1608 flatbread (bechamel sauce, mushrooms, bacon, 1608 cheese, rosemary). Everything we had was so delicious & I even drizzled some spicy oil on top of the pizza which really elevated the flavor! If you're ever visiting Quebec City you have to check this place out!

When the wrong meal was brought over, our server escalated to his manager who then offered to exchange his meal. They kept apologizing for the mixup but honestly, they already handled it well by replacing it without issues. The pasta dish was so good!
