Don't you just love being greeted immediately on entering a restaurant and made to feel warmly welcomed? I do. And don't you just love it when you're seated and right away and they come with menus and take your drink order? I do. Don't you love it when they introduce themselves and ask you if you have any questions? Or need help ordering? And can actually answer a question? I do. Don't you love it when your server is friendly and personable? (Thanks Crystal!!) I do. Don't you love it when they have home brewed iced tea and even Splenda (not that cheapie pink stuff)? I do. Don't you love it when they have so many lunch specials at great prices it's hard to choose? I do. Don't you love it when a salad has romaine and iceberg and not a lot of dandelions and field weeds? I do. Don't you love it when the house salad dressing is a balsamic vinaigrette and it turns out to be that expensive syrupy delicious kind of balsamic? I do. Don't you love it when your slice of pizza is huge and cheesy and served hot? I do. And don't you love it when they give you extra clams with your order cause they're too small? I do. And don't you love it when the baked clams come on top of a lemony sauce that you want to lick the plate and would have done so if no one were looking? I do. Update August 2022 Went Friday for a fairly early dinner, they were getting busy, but certainly not slammed. Ordered a glass of wine. Finished it and watched our waiter, Dane I think, walk right past our table 5 times, apparently ignoring my attempts to get his attention for a refill. My husband's soda also got emptied during that time. Finally, the bus man stopped and asked my husband if he wanted a refill, but not me, and about that time Dane also stopped at the table next to ours. This would be the sixth time passing by now. I ended up having to raise my voice quite loudly to get attention for a refill. Then our food came. I nearly always get their shrimp scampi and ask for a little extra garlic (they roast, then slice it) and some lemon on the side for me to squeeze on the dish. Those 2 little tweaks always made it nearly perfect for me. Well, the shrimp were really overcooked and there was just some kind of off taste about the pasta, not bad, just not as tasty as it always had been. My husband got lasagna, which he has also enjoyed in the past. The noodles weren't cooked enough even inside the lasagna. They were very chewy, much more than "to the tooth" and the outside noodles that had been exposed to direct heat were harder than direct from the box. read more

We were meeting family we had not seen in awhile and Barone's was recommended and convenient for all to get to. It's your typical red sauce Italian restaurant. Everyone's meals came with a soup or a salad. The salad was OK nothing to write home about. I ordered the Tour of Italy which was lasagna, sausage and a meatball. It was very good and a nice variety. My wife had the Three Musketeers, veal, eggplant and chicken parm with pasta. She said it too was very good. I wanted to get a really good Italian meal close to me so based on the reviews I ordered from La Pizzeria for pick-up. When I arrived I was taken aback by the signage posted that said we respect your right not to wear a mask, the posting went on in more detail to support that position. I was very offended by this because currently Broward does not have a mask ordinance so what was the need to publicize their position. To be respectful to those that do believe in wearing masks, I thought that the restaurant could have been silent on the topic or just said mask optional. The food was just OK to me but even if it was exceptional I will not patronize this establishment again. Just know that as strongly as those that feel they have a right to not wear a mask, there are others that believe equally and as strongly in public health and safety for others. read more

Great pizza and terrific red sauce always. So tonight I decided to try something different. A friend said the flounder francaise is delicious. She says there is so much that she and her husband have it split onto 2 plates and get an additional soup or salad and garlic rolls for $6.00. Sounded good to me! Our group took advantage of this and two shared chicken cacciatore and friend and I shared the flounder. It was served with angel hair and it was delicious. A very light egg batter which I thought was a tad too salty ( but I usually do) and the sauce was really good. Called with complaint and got younger girl on phone she said they can't do anything but then I asked for manager and suddenly manager was not there and so called other manager was too busy to help a customer that already paid. We were asked if we wanted to sit at the booth or the tables. We sat at the tables. There was two parties of 5 people and a few parties of two and three. After we told our waiter our drinks and a little bit more time after the one check up on us, he didn't really come back for us. He came back again after I waved my hand and another waiter noticed so he told our waiter. Our waiter went off after I asked what kind of subs are there since I didn't noticed it didn't mention what kind of subs on the lunch special. He said he would be right back but he was busy with other two tables. We were sitting there for awhile. Another waiter noticed us and quickly took orders and refilled our drinks. Since we had to leave soon, he got our meals pretty quick. We got our subs in a to-go box. He provided us very good, fast pace service. My mom, her friend, and I got the 1/2 subs, soup or salad, and cheese or silican pizza slice lunch combo, and soup or salad with 1/2 sub combo. My mom and I got our soups first. We got minestrone soup and veggie soup with noodles and egg (I don't know the name). Minestrone was good. The veggie soup was good but a bit oily for me. I still recommend if anyone likes this soup. Then we got our mix garden salad with the dressing on the side. Then, we got our cheese pizza slices. Cheese pizzas were good and a bit cheesy. I love seeing some cheese pulling away when biting. At your own risk.. My friends and I patronized the restaurant for years, but recently found the services changed. Most dinner entrees are excellent, but the side pasta dishes are "meager and not worthy of the overall price charged". They also charge extra for the standard oil and garlic for the small side dish pasta. In addition, sometimes the salad chef is lazy and uses canned chopped marinated tomatoes which clashes with your selection of dressing..a total no-no. Another problem is, don't expect a response from management on "any" complaint you write in about..useless and apparently they don't care..Second rate to restaurants in the immediate area, such as Pizzatime, etc. Bottomline, we hardly go there ... read more

This pizza place is renamed, "Guido's La Pizzeria". Guido has his main restaurant on Wiles Road. Great reputation! Well, I was on my way to the Coconut Creek Casino and instead of eating their I chose to pick up a pizza here and give it a try and compare the quality of his original store to this one. I ordered a large specialty pizza and as you can see in the picture the toppings were very very generous and delicious. The crust and the sauce had a nice combo favor of rustic and a little sweet. Those who live near this area, and willing to spend a little bit extra money we'll certainly get there dollars worth because the pizza I got could have fed six people easily.
