We had such a great experience at Gianni's! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to a cozy restaurant in Italy. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and every server was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They start you off with warm garlic bread that is absolutely delicious--I could have made a meal out of that alone! The house salad was unique and refreshing. Instead of chopped lettuce, they serve whole lettuce leaves topped with blue cheese, fresh garlic, and olive oil. It's simple but surprisingly delicious. I ordered the Penne Vodka, and my boyfriend had the calamari pasta. Both dishes were excellent, but the Penne Vodka was definitely our favorite. The portions are generous--I was so full from the garlic bread that I couldn't even finish my pasta! If you're looking for authentic Italian food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, Gianni's is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back! read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in at least eight years and basically it is the same. I think they added I back outdoor patio to eat All food comes with a delicious same salad for the last 34 years and a small pasta. The food is delicious. We had chicken Parmesan nice large portion with a little of pasta. Also had the snapper of special fish of the day little pricey $50 came with the salad the salad are outstanding and also had an eggplant rollati appetizer service was good acoustic little loud parking is easy. The past few times I had come here, I had absolutely loved it. The last time I came here, there was one thing slightly wrong -- the chicken parm (while large) didn't distribute the sauce and cheese evenly: cheese in middle and sauce on sides (as shown in pic) The bread keeps the rating high, but I hope they improve their display of the parm! read more

First time here and so impressed! Ambience five stars white tablecloths, one TV in the dining room if you're interested in watching the sports. Our waitress, MONICA WAS SUPERB. Delightful, smiling, professional, and on the ball! We never waited for anything. The fresh baked bread and the garlic rolls were worth dying for if you could live till eternity and keep eating them. Really that good! The men ordered lamb chops which they said were the best they'd ever had ...nice big size and flavorful. Salads were fresh and cold and very large. The soup was a meal in itself which all came with the entrées. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you love Italian food or seafood or steak, check this place out!!!! Of course, if you know my posts, I started with a beautiful Manhattan and my wife has the blue cheese dirty martini. Our server, Nick, was fantastic with recommendations. For appetizers, eggplant rotini and calamari. The calamari was so fresh and tender. Eggplant rotini with fresh ricotta was spectacular. No breading (don't need it) Rarely will I comment on salad but the homemade balsamic dressing was one of a kind and worth calling out. Entrees were rack of lamb and veal parmigiana. Hats off to the chef as both were outstanding in cook and flavor. (The rack of land would make Gordon Ramsey jealous). Such a delightful time spent in a cozy place. Well deserved five stars for this well established Pompano Beach traditional Italian restaurant. Invited by two of my friends who are top tier Yelpers to try the cuisine. Immediately recognized the classic upper scale ambiance by the crystal wine glasses placed on the white table cloths with the silverware perfectly positioned next to the crowned folded napkins. The server was ultra professional and placed a basket of garlic rolls in the center of the table. As we engulfed the soft bread, he announced the specials of the day. The swordfish sounded wonderful but ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with fresh cut potato wedges and a house salad with crumbled gorgonzola cheese. The entire meal was flavorful and filling. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a gold thickly wrapped mirror above a white pedestal sink continuing the classic decor through the rest of the restaurant. This is a free standing restaurant. It has parking but you may find it difficult to find parking when the restaurant is packed. This is positively another one of the best Italian restaurants for large scale fine dining. The atmosphere is very nice and more upscale than most. The service is top notch, professionally excuted. They have evening specials too. We had a wide range of traditional dishes. Come hungry as the portions are large and tasty. Our table had lasagne, ziti with meat sauce, chicken Parmesan, and a few other dishes. The garlic knots were amazing as were the salads. Everything fresh and must be cooked to order. I took a friend out to celebrate a special occasion since I had heard good things about Giannis. They definitely didn't disappoint. We had calamari appetizer which was cooked perfectly. For entrees, we had eggplant parm , chicken parm and a chicken dish . All brought leftovers for the next day. A salad was included which had a dressing we all loved and the garlic rolls when delicious and drenched in garlic (no one to kiss so it's fine lol) one friend got dessert - a cannoli which she enjoyed . Stopped in for lunch yesterday with some friends. Forgot to take any pics. Their lunch special is a great price and basically just a smaller portion size of their regular dinner menu. You still get a salad and the amazing hot fresh made garlic knots. Went with the chicken franchese which also comes with a side of pasta. Fresh, hot and delicious. I will say next time I will go for something different. The next table over all ordered the lasagna and the portion looked huge and they all could stop raving how good it was. read more

Four of us went to dinner and it was the first time there for all of us. There was a lot to like about Gianni's, and a few things that leads me to rate them with 4 stars rather than 5. The service was great and everyone who came to our table was efficient and welcoming. Our server was fantastic, a perfect blend of friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The only hiccup was that one of us ordered a vodka on the rocks dirty, yet there was no olive juice. However, nothing was said to the server about it, so each drink continued to come out wrong; therefore, it was not the server's fault. The food was mostly excellent. Their garlic rolls were pillowy soft and their loaf of bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, which I love. The salads were fresh and crisp with a very garlicky vinaigrette. The eggplant rollatini was loaded with ricotta and topped with a tasty tomato sauce. The veal parmigiana was tender and a huge serving. While the broccoli rapa over penne was delicious, the sausage in it was not as good as the rest of the dish. The spaghetti with meat sauce was good. The biggest issue with this restaurant is the fact that the tables are so close together that some of the seating borders on being uncomfortable. I was wedged partially against a wall and the person seated at the adjacent table. It was difficult to position my chair to where I felt that I had my own space, and I'm not a large person. This definitely leads to getting cozy with your neighbors, which could be a good thing for some. If you go knowing the negatives and are ok with them, Gianni's is worth the visit. I would go back, for sure, but I'd probably sit at the bar. I need my elbow room! read more

Man what can I say about this place? We were in town visiting some family and they recommended Gianni's. Service was top notch. We were immediately greeted and sat very quickly. The food servings were incredible, you will not go hungry. You have to try the chicken marsala. INCREDIBLE. the bartender, I think her name was Melissa, was so friendly and fun to talk to. Ate the salad with a dirty martini with a blue cheese stuffed olive garnish. The complimentary wet garlic rolls were a meal in itself. The old family pictures on the wall next to the front bar gave the Italian restaurant a sense of family. Came here for dinner. I know this is a good restaurant but tonight was an exception. We sat down at 7 pm and left well after 9 pm. We struggled with service the entire dinner. By the time I got our main dish I had to return it because it was not hot enough We started with clams and artichoke was which good. House salad came 40 minutes later. Salads were good as well. Entrees came 40 minutes later. Chicken Parmigiana was very good and good portion. Eggplant parmigiana was ok at best. Dinners came with the salad and spaghetti. Starting the new year off with a five-star review. This restaurant has been on my bucket list forever. I had an opportunity to have lunch here a while back and it was delicious. The restaurant faces Atlantic Ave, but the main entrance is in the back of the building, along with a lot where you can park. Parking is free and the restaurant doesn't offer valet. The garlic rolls are huge and insanely good, and they were the best I've had in a long time. We started off with the baked clams oreganata. I love baked clams and these were delicious. Our meals came with a salad that was topped with blue cheese crumbles and a tangy vinaigrette. The salad is practically a meal in itself, so next time I will pack it up to take home. I believe at night the salad has romaine lettuce and during lunch they use iceberg. I am not positive about this, but regardless, the lunch salad is delicious. My Veal Pizzaiola was excellent. The veal was tender and prepared in a terrific red sauce and it came with spaghetti. I went home with so much food! They have a great lunch menu that's reasonably priced. The portions are generous and they use quality ingredients. Giannis is an upscale family owned and operated Italian restaurant that's been in business since 1989. They started in New York and they are serving authentic homemade Italian food. The tables are very close together and the dining room is loud. The food and service are top notch. Typically I try to stay away from very noisy restaurants, but I loved it here so I will 100% come back. When we arrived for an early lunch it wasn't that busy or loud, but when we left the restaurant was packed and very loud. Highly recommend and don't forget to make a reservation. Enjoy! read more

Went today for lunch with our cousin, they had some very reasonable $18 specials. My father and I ordered some Linguini and white clam sauce, it was solid. The salad was very good too. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was nice. The chairs however were very uncomfortable. Very good overall! read more

This place is truly a hidden gem! If you live in Pompano, you probably already know about it... but if you don't, you'd never guess how amazing it is, so I'm here to tell you. Everything is top-tier: the food, service, atmosphere, and even the parking. My family has been celebrating Christmas Eve here for the past few years, and we absolutely love it every time. I wish I could remember our server's name (I believe it started with a D), he was incredibly efficient and attentive throughout our entire meal. If you need menu recommendations, I can't recommend the Veal Francese enough. It comes with the most delicious lemon butter sauce. The Branzino was also tremendous, and the fried mozzarella is a perfect appetizer to start the meal. They also informed us they grow their own spicy peppers right outside which is so cool, if you like spice ask about it! read more

So went there last nite party of 5 food was ok nothing outstanding very pricey I would of gave it a better review but I didn't wanted pasta with my chicken parm so waiter John asked me if I wanted broccoli I said no would you have broccoli rab he said yes of course but he never told me or the other people in my party there was an xtra charge for that so when the bill came we where all charged $7 for the broccoli rab that's insane it was such a tiny bowl we could of ordered one side dish instead of 3 dishes no less waiter never suggested it to us that there was a larger dish of broccoli rab . Been going here for years and still one of the best in town...especially for their lunch specials. If you are available for lunch on a weekday, than this place is for you. Entrees are in the $15-19 range and come with a large salad and the most delicious garlic rolls. (If you're a vampire and don't want garlic, they can bring you plain rolls.). The lunch is a great deal, but dinner here is fabulous as well. I enjoyed the linguine with clams, and they were not skimpy with the clams in the sauce. Our server was excellent and very attentive, and you can tell that the entire serving staff works together to make sure everyone has their drinks refilled, etc. Inside is a very classy Italian restaurant with linen covered tables. The tables are close together, so I wouldn't say this is an intimate and quiet restaurant. Parking can be a little difficult, but having patience will reward you in the end. Visiting friends on Florida East Coast and she suggested this restaurant for dinner. This is a family run business and the owner greets you at the door and welcome you to his restaurant. Restaurant is fairly large and it also has a fair number of outdoor cables that are mostly covered by a canopy. I would have to say this is an upscale Italian eatery with white tablecloth and above average dinnerware and silverware. our waitress has been with the restaurant for five years, and I noticed several other weight staff that appeared to have been there for a number of years. This is very much a professional operation and the restaurant does a superb job of dealing with their patrons. Our waitress was thoroughly versed on the menu as well as the specials offered that evening. She also gave me a good recommendation for a wide selection. Once seated in your drink order taken, you are provided a basket of their lovely garlic rolls and a loaf of Italian bread. While the bread looked inviting, I was disappointed in that I was expecting something nice and crusty instead of soft and wonder bread like. Our dinner selections included chicken, piccata, chicken, Parmesan, and veal marsala. Every entrée comes with the house, salad and spaghetti. Everything was four star plus and as you can tell from the pictures, presentation is important and they did not disappoint. As you can also tell from the pictures, portions are generous to say the least and after eating the lovely salad and some bread, my wife and I could only eat half of our entrées. We were also celebrating my birthday and I was provided a complementary housemaid tiramisu along with singing wait staff, very nice. This is the kind of restaurant that does not suffer when the snowbirds go north as they provide their customers with great food at very reasonable prices. I did not get a picture of the tiramisu, but again the presentation was four star, but the taste was probably only three stars .
