First time here and so impressed! Ambience five stars white tablecloths, one TV in the dining room if you're interested in watching the sports. Our waitress, MONICA WAS SUPERB. Delightful, smiling, professional, and on the ball! We never waited for anything. The fresh baked bread and the garlic rolls were worth dying for if you could live till eternity and keep eating them. Really that good! The men ordered lamb chops which they said were the best they'd ever had ...nice big size and flavorful. Salads were fresh and cold and very large. The soup was a meal in itself which all came with the entrées. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you love Italian food or seafood or steak, check this place out!!!! Reza the manager walked around to make sure everything was up to par. this place is a gem! Almost forgot to mention the homemade desserts. All delicious.

This is a free standing restaurant. It has parking but you may find it difficult to find parking when the restaurant is packed. There is seating in the main room as well as the patio area which is enclosed. Our waitress was so friendly and funny. We had the lunch specials and everything was delicious! We started with garlic rolls and fresh baked bread and it was addictive!

FAMILY STYLE! This was an amazing Italian restaurant! Came into town for a meeting and gave this place a try! The staff here were very attentive which we really appreciated. The food here was larger family style portions that were very delicious! When I am back in town, I will definitely come back!

This is positively another one of the best Italian restaurants for large scale fine dining. The atmosphere is very nice and more upscale than most. The service is top notch, professionally excuted. They have evening specials too. We had a wide range of traditional dishes. Come hungry as the portions are large and tasty. Our table had lasagne, ziti with meat sauce, chicken Parmesan, and a few other dishes. The garlic knots were amazing as were the salads. Everything fresh and must be cooked to order. The owner walks around, greets folks and ensures every is satisfied. Love love. Let me know if you agree.

Well deserved five stars for this well established Pompano Beach traditional Italian restaurant. Invited by two of my friends who are top tier Yelpers to try the cuisine. Immediately recognized the classic upper scale ambiance by the crystal wine glasses placed on the white table cloths with the silverware perfectly positioned next to the crowned folded napkins. The server was ultra professional and placed a basket of garlic rolls in the center of the table. As we engulfed the soft bread, he announced the specials of the day. The swordfish sounded wonderful but ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with fresh cut potato wedges and a house salad with crumbled gorgonzola cheese. The entire meal was flavorful and filling. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a gold thickly wrapped mirror above a white pedestal sink continuing the classic decor through the rest of the restaurant. Will return soon to maybe try the swordfish.

I took a friend out to celebrate a special occasion since I had heard good things about Giannis. They definitely didn't disappoint. We had calamari appetizer which was cooked perfectly. For entrees, we had eggplant parm , chicken parm and a chicken dish . All brought leftovers for the next day. A salad was included which had a dressing we all loved and the garlic rolls when delicious and drenched in garlic (no one to kiss so it's fine lol) one friend got dessert - a cannoli which she enjoyed . Prices seemed mid level and were worth it for the food . We all had leftovers for the next day . We all know Italian leftovers are always even better the second day .

Had lunch at Giannis on Pompano Beach. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in South Florida. Reasonably priced lunch menu with big portions, salad, garlic rolls, and homemade bread. The calamari Fran Diablo made to order. I ask for oil and garlic rather than marinara sauce. Lots to f calamari over spaghetti. Family style and fresh. And always impeccable service. This is a very popular restaurant in the area and had been around for many years. If you near pompano beach this is worth the visit.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with some friends. Forgot to take any pics. Their lunch special is a great price and basically just a smaller portion size of their regular dinner menu. You still get a salad and the amazing hot fresh made garlic knots. Went with the chicken franchese which also comes with a side of pasta. Fresh, hot and delicious. I will say next time I will go for something different. The next table over all ordered the lasagna and the portion looked huge and they all could stop raving how good it was.

The Chicken Marsala was tender and the herbs were flavorful. Loved my house salad appetizer with the crisp fresh lettuce with the Gorgonzola cheese that gave it a nice punch. Ate the salad with a dirty martini with a blue cheese stuffed olive garnish. The complimentary wet garlic rolls were a meal in itself. The old family pictures on the wall next to the front bar gave the Italian restaurant a sense of family. The only issue was the angle parking spaces were tight from drivers having issues not parking over the lines but found normal spaces in the back lot.

Came here for dinner. I know this is a good restaurant but tonight was an exception. We sat down at 7 pm and left well after 9 pm. We struggled with service the entire dinner. By the time I got our main dish I had to return it because it was not hot enough We started with clams and artichoke was which good. House salad came 40 minutes later. Salads were good as well. Entrees came 40 minutes later. Chicken Parmigiana was very good and good portion. Eggplant parmigiana was ok at best. Dinners came with the salad and spaghetti. Garlic bread and a big roll of bread given upon sitting down. Busy loud restaurant but lively ambiance. Prices very reasonable.

Starting the new year off with a five-star review. This restaurant has been on my bucket list forever. I had an opportunity to have lunch here a while back and it was delicious. The restaurant faces Atlantic Ave, but the main entrance is in the back of the building, along with a lot where you can park. Parking is free and the restaurant doesn't offer valet. The garlic rolls are huge and insanely good, and they were the best I've had in a long time. We started off with the baked clams oreganata. I love baked clams and these were delicious. Our meals came with a salad that was topped with blue cheese crumbles and a tangy vinaigrette. The salad is practically a meal in itself, so next time I will pack it up to take home. I believe at night the salad has romaine lettuce and during lunch they use iceberg. I am not positive about this, but regardless, the lunch salad is delicious. My Veal Pizzaiola was excellent. The veal was tender and prepared in a terrific red sauce and it came with spaghetti. I went home with so much food! They have a great lunch menu that's reasonably priced. The portions are generous and they use quality ingredients. Giannis is an upscale family owned and operated Italian restaurant that's been in business since 1989. They started in New York and they are serving authentic homemade Italian food. The tables are very close together and the dining room is loud. The food and service are top notch. Typically I try to stay away from very noisy restaurants, but I loved it here so I will 100% come back. When we arrived for an early lunch it wasn't that busy or loud, but when we left the restaurant was packed and very loud. Highly recommend and don't forget to make a reservation. Enjoy!

However, the food was honestly subpar. We ordered the pecan crusted trout, which had absolutely no flavour at all. There was an almost unrecognizable light crunch, but it did not taste like nuts, much less pecans. The fish itself had no flavour, even though we tried to season it with salt, pepper, salsa picante and lemons (which we asked for in hopes of enhancing some semblance of personality). We'd also ordered the short ribs. Again, there was absolutely no seasoning or flavour, and the meat was almost dry, not stewy and tender. The potatoes were mediocre, lacking seasoning. The plates lacked any attempt at an inviting presentation. I was also a little disappointed in the wine list. They don't offer much variety, and they seem to favour predominantly California wines. The saving grace was our dessert. We loved their cheesecake topped with berries. It was fresh and creamy and full of flavour. Their espresso is nice as well. Again, shout out to Leo. We admire your stoic professionalism, as you must know the food is lacking.

They had just opened and we were the only customers for most of the time we were there. A couple came and left after no one approached them (they were in the back); and as we were finishing up a mother and son decided to dine in. The small restaurant has been a number of places. Last time we were there was when it was Moira Grill. It is located in the strip on the south side of the street near the Briny Irish pub and just a short walk to the beach. There are inside tables and a few umbrella covered outside tables. The menu looks a bit expensive. We asked about specials and they had a lot of lunch specials -- all for about $15. The server recited the specials to us. If you are not familiar with Cuban food, or Spanish, you'd have to ask for a translation. We both ordered one of the specials. They really should print these up or at least have one written sheet with these lunches listed to look at. They'd have a much bigger number of diners. My husband had the ropa vieja. He said it was quite good with tender meat, but the little portion served in a little bowl was small. It came with white rice and plantains. I got their lunch special of a skewer. You could choose either beef or chicken and I chose chicken. The chunks of chicken were grilled yet still moist. In between the pieces were slices of onion or slices of a cut up green pepper. It came with rice and plantains. This was quite good, also, , but could have used some additional seasoning. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know.
