There was a large party of 20 when we were there, along with a couple outside, then afterwards a family of 5, and another customer. The 2 servers upfront were great with everyone: friendly, smiling, and promptly attentive. Because of the large party, our food took longer than normal, but they did bring out our calamari so we weren't waiting with nothing. The portion on the calamari was disappointing. They should seriously consider doubling the portion. My son's pepperoni pizza was really good. Lots of pepperoni and cheese. The dough was thin and delicious. Size was just right. My wife had Ciopino. It was good and we would order it again. I ordered the bolognese and was good as well. Plenty of meat, sauce, and pasta. Good temperature for all three entrees. In terms of the bread, that should be improved. It should be sourdough, but instead it appears to be regular sliced read that they cut into small squares and toasted it a little. Not sure if they added any butter or garlic paste. Small improvements and they get a higher rating.

On this occasion, I was sharing pizza with a vegetarian friend, so I ordered the elote and nopales pizzas. Both were solid choices, although I think I prefer the nopales pizza. The elote pizza was a bit too salty for me when it was fresh/warm, but surprisingly really improved by being cold (an argument for cold pizza!). The nopales pizza has a nice vegetal flavor with some acidity and spice. It was actually quite spicy for me but very enjoyable nonetheless. There are plenty of places to sit. The man at the front of house was very helpful (bilingual in Spanish and English). It was the time before Christmas that I was ordering from here, so Christmas decor was plentiful and exciting. I love Mexican food and pizza, so I will definitely be back here, hopefully to try their meat pizza options.

Expect large portions and a lot of entrees come with garlic bread and salad. My only gripe with this place is the parking. There isn't a lot of it. There is extra parking in the back, but they do share it with other businesses. Also, if you do the lunch buffet, don't go right before it's over. The best time is during the lunch rush when the food turn over is happening regularly. If you go at the beginning, sometimes it takes some time for the pizza variety to catch up. Lastly, a lot of people do their end of season work lunches here, so be aware if you plan on doing a final work lunch before winter vacation. Those are "order from the menu days" as the lunch buffet bar will look like a post-apocalyptic waste land.

Review Hype from Last Weekend at a friends party. Hands down one of the worst pizza experiences I've ever had in Los Angeles. This place is an embarrassment to the word "pizzeria." The pizza tastes like wet cardboard on burnt flatbread , absolutely no flavor, no texture, just a sloppy mess. It's laughable they try to pass this off as Neapolitan style. Every pie looked like it was shaped by someone blindfolded and baked by someone who's never seen a real pizza in their life. Burnt crust, uneven slices, sauce slapped on like a toddler made it. On top of that, they leave their ingredients out like they've never heard of health codes. If it were up to me, I'd get rid of the entire staff , especially the dough maker and start over with people who actually know what a pizza is supposed to taste and look like. Absolutely stellar. Everybody raved about the pizza coming right out of the oven in my backyard. The guys were so cool and accommodating and threw in some chicken they had from another party they gave us for free. I hope I didn't just get them in trouble! The watermelon salad is insane! Every single pizza option delicious. Just an easy breeze. Paying them to come out as 95 bucks but it's totally worth it. They take care of everything except for plates and napkins. It's just actually funny that I am hosting a premier party for my show next week and I'm calling them for the third time. And it's not for the $20 Starbucks gift card. We booked Martin Fierro Asado (MFA) for our wedding in March because we wanted a unique and…read morememorable experience for our guests. Having Martin and his team cooking on-site was a key part of our vision, so much so that we specifically searched across Los Angeles and surrounding areas to find a venue that could accommodate their setup requirements, including the 7-hour preparation time and outdoor space they needed. Leading up to the event, MFA was great, they were responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, our experience on the wedding day was very different. We later learned that Martin had threatened to leave midway through cooking, which was extremely concerning. Additionally, both our venue staff and other catering staff mentioned that MFA was difficult to work with that day. While the food itself was excellent, the service fell short of what was promised. Our contract included two courses: First course: ribs, sausage, chicken, empanadas, and salads Second course: tri-tip/steak The second course was never properly served to our guests. When guests returned for the steak, they were told service was over and staff had already begun cleaning up. Some guests even tried requesting steak during the first course and were denied. To our knowledge, only maybe one or two guests were able to receive steak after insisting. We had also rented chafing dishes so that leftover food could be made available later in the evening. However, only chicken and salads were placed out, no beef. We didn't realize the extent of this issue until the day after the wedding. When we went to retrieve leftovers, we found multiple full trays of food, including large portions of uncut steak and ribs. There was clearly more than enough food to serve all guests the second course, yet it was never distributed. Many guests later told us the food was amazing--some of the best wedding food they've had--but also shared disappointment that they never received the advertised beef course. This was especially frustrating since our menu cards specifically instructed guests to "save room" for it. After the event, we learned that Martin had a planned medical procedure the following day. While we understand personal circumstances arise, it felt like the service was cut short so the team could leave early. This resulted in an estimated $2,000 worth of food going to waste, food that could have been served, offered to guests to take home, or at minimum communicated to us. Overall, while the food quality was outstanding, the execution and service on the day of the event were deeply disappointing and did not meet expectations for a wedding of this scale (160 guests).

While waiting for our sandwiches, my girlfriend and I grabbed several pastries and cookies for dessert. The restaurant was buzzing non-stop this Friday afternoon, with people of all ages coming in to load up on goodies for the day, and possibly the weekend. Within 10 minutes, our sandwiches were brought out to us. They looked amazing! I decided to keep all of the ingredients in tact: Carne Asada, Beans, Chili, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Avocado, Cheese. The bread was delicious: soft, fresh and a perfect vehicle to hold in all of the delicious ingredients. The asada is the star here. Absolutely tender, seasoned to perfection. The cheese is also top notch, with the other ingredients adding tons of flavor in each packed bite. Priced at just under $10 each, there aren't many options that compare in taste and value around. As for the pastries, my girlfriend and I shared a few cookies and pan dulce shortbreads in the car. Freshly baked, crumbling to the touch, these goodies were delicious and simple. Not too sweet, and great versions of traditional Mexican delights. The energy at this Sylmar restaurant is fast-paced, friendly and outstandingly delicious. Parking is good as there are several spots available in this strip-mall layout. No bathrooms as it is primarily a grab-and-go establishment. I'll be back to see what other affordable, homemade pastries are available to complement the next time I am craving a Carne Asada Torta from El Milagro. Check them out!

One thing I really appreciated was that they provide additional burgers equal to half of your guest count. Since the burgers are so good, many guests end up coming back for seconds, and this ensures there's plenty for everyone. They offer two packages--one with banana pudding and one without. Trust me, get the banana pudding! It's the perfect cold treat after enjoying a burger. In fact, I was so impressed with the service, food, and unique experience that I booked them again the very next day for my daughter's birthday party in August. My guests were super happy, and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. You won't regret booking them!
