First visit at local spot with my friends for breakfast. Open seating, very spacious. Decor is rustic with high ceilings and a little industrial but the contrast works and feels warm. Lots of light and big screen TV looks like a great place to watch sports. Cafeteria style, order up front and they bring to your table. I checked out the menu the night before and had already settled on getting pancakes. When I got there I was a little bit more hungry so I decided to get a side of bacon as well as fresh squeeze juice. I really enjoy fresh squeeze juice (I saw a little sign) and I did not see that on the menu so I thought I would try it. Orange and carrot juice is my go to. Pancakes were good, bacon crispy and juice was refreshingly delicious. I admit my meal was a bit pricey -I wish I had seen the specials that were advertised outside on the outside only restaurant window. I wouldn't have ordered everything ala cart. My total was $32 including tip. I believe in supporting local businesses but even for me that busted my budget for breakfast. Would be a nice spot for small groups too. First time here but it definitely won't be the last. I asked the staff which was more popular breakfast burrito or chorizo burrito. He said definitely chorizo burrito and he was not wrong. Really good flavor. It seemed like it was homemade because it didn't have that store bought orange grease dripping all over. You get a choice of salad or chips. I chose the chips. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. A little container of green salsa came with the meal. Next time I need to ask for the red. The burrito didn't need anything else so I used the green salsa for my chips. I ate everything! I didn't realize I didn't eat anything the rest of the day until I went to bed! It's a "self" serve type of restaurant. You grab a menu when you walk in. Order at the counter and they give you a table number. They'll bring your food out to you. If you want anything there's a long counter near the "bar". Take out containers, all the condiments. They do have napkin dispenser and salt and pepper on the table. They have a refreshing cucumber lemon also for self service. The space is very rustic industrial. I love the spacious restaurant. It's very ADA friendly with a ramp leading to the bathroom. Everything was kept very clean and tidy. Highly recommend for groups. Everyone orders individually at the counter. No "mathing" needs to be done after you have a full belly. The only downside is parking. They don't have any public lots on their side of the street. There is one hour free parking on Maclay but it is on the same block as other popular restaurants. read more

We stumbled upon this gem in the heart of San Fernando in mid-February, and I'm glad we did. It's truly a family-friendly spot with plenty of street parking. The space is large and open, with lots of tables that can accommodate different party sizes, and the music set a nice, relaxed vibe. The food was great. We tried the crunchy French toast topped with banana, Nutella, and strawberries -- BOMB. We also ordered the breakfast sausage bagel, which was satisfying and perfect if you want something filling without being too heavy. The orange juice tasted fresh, which is always a plus. The only thing I'd suggest improving is the coffee -- unfortunately, it wasn't great. Service-wise, the staff was friendly and organized. Each waitress handled her own section, and everything from the tables to the floors was clean. As for pricing: tip was not included (as of Feb 2026). With the menu being the brightest you'll ever see a menu be, you'd think that the food wouldn't be as great or the portions might not be as big. It been a while since I came to this UCrave location but since my wife and I was in the area, she was craving some crepes. We were lucky to find street parking just down the block so we walk to this place. I had to use the bathroom and my wife was craving crepes so it all worked out. They were not busy at all when we came, so I was able to just walk to the counter to place our order. I asked for the Nutella and powder sugar to be on the side because they tend to put a lot on or in the crepe. The men bathroom here is very dark since the light is very dim so be aware. If you don't have the staff to efficiently serve clientele then don't open or at least pause the Doordash and Postmates orders temporarily. I still payed the full price ($50) for eggs and a simple sandwich. Even with the long wait, I still had hope for the sandwich... but it ended up tasting bland. We spent $53 on six desserts -- a lemon bar, apple bar, churro, tiramisu, a slice of Godiva cake, and carrot cake -- and five out of five people agreed: almost everything was inedible. The only items that didn't end up in the trash were the churro and the tiramisu. Everything else was dry, stale, or hard enough to make you question how long it had been sitting there. The lemon bar and apple bar tasted like they'd been aging in a display case for days. The cakes were so dry they practically crumbled into dust. Freshness clearly isn't a priority here, which honestly isn't surprising when the menu looks like a novel. When a place tries to offer a hundred different desserts, quality is usually the first thing to go. For a bakery/dessert shop, freshness is the bare minimum. Charging premium prices for what tasted like leftovers is unacceptable. We were excited to treat ourselves -- instead, we threw most of it away. Save your money. There are plenty of places that actually bake fresh desserts and don't rely on an overloaded menu to hide declining quality. read more

I had a burger from here about 4 months ago and it was awesome. It came with a very fresh and delicious side salad and burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. I returned yesterday for the same meal and it was awful. They didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked which was the first sign of something wrong. The burger was dry and the meat tasted different. The bacon was very off and I couldn't eat more than 2 bites before wanting to get sick. The bun was also stale. AND if that wasn't enough, the "spring salad" was a stack of the same lettuce that they put on the burger. I paid $25 for this meal and could have had a much better one at Burger King for half the cost. What happened to the food here? The burger was so good back in September when I first ordered it. I called to place a phone order for a Cappuccino. Jen answered the phone and asked me to hold to take my order. She left me on hold for over 11 minutes to the point where I had time to get walk into the store, I still was on hold while already inside the store. I spoke w Jen and just told her that she could have came back to the phone line and said "hey we're really busy right now, I can't take your order" ... and she said "well I'm short staffed" which I completely understand, but it takes 10 seconds to get on the phone and say "I can't take your order, we are busy" ... after I gave her advise about coming back to the line to at least say we're just and can't take your order instead of having me on hold for 11 mins, she became upset and argumentative instead of taking in the constructive criticism. I highly recommend to hire people with good customer service for positions like this. When I got back to work I tried my cappuccino and it was so bitter, so I had to go back and ask for my money back. I spoke to a gentleman who says he was the manager and said they don't do refunds and that he would have to call the owner. The whole encounter and experience here was horrible. read more

We had girls day out lunch and it was great, everyone was happy with their choice and food was delicious. They are always busy and sometimes there is a wait time, however, there are some outside sitting and when the weather is nice, it's a beautiful place to go to. I've eaten here a fair amount, the food is generally decent, and they have a big menu, but it's very slow even when they're slow, so what I've been doing is calling ahead to get the order for take out and get it rolling so I don't wait sitting around for 1/2 an hour till it's done. So I called ahead from the area of Rinaldi/Balbia (app 15 mins away), to try and get that started, was asked if I could hold for a minute and of course I said yes, and continued driving towards them. And kept on driving, waiting on hold. Drove some more, waiting on hold. Driving driving, waiting on hold. Drove all the way there, yep, the whole 15 minutes, still on hold. At this point I'm figuring man, they must be swamped, and I'm kinda bugged that they couldn't have come back for 2 seconds and at least said "hey bud we're slammed and I just don't have time to take your order", you know, at least treat me with a small dot of decency. But nah, that didn't happen, so now bugged, and curious - did they just get slammed, or are they outright crapping on a phone customer, and if so why, the interaction was literally nothing but "can you hold" and "yes". No time for a personality issue, or misunderstanding etc, so how can this be personal? But what else would cause them to do this to a (probably) paying customer. I arrive and park, and the outside seating is empty, so it's not totally slammed, and head in to see what's the deal. I notice the counter phone is off the hook with my red lit call still on hold, there's one person ordering at the counter, a person taking their order, and another bigger guy kinda standing around. Now you can't miss this phone, in fact the receiver is off the base and it's kind of in the way, so the reasonable assumption would be that you'd take care of the call, if for no other reason than to be able to put the receiver back on the base and get it out of the way. I can think of one reason you wouldn't take the call tho, and that is that if you keep that person on hold long enough, then maybe they'll go away and you won't have to do the work, PLUS the phone will likely ring busy for other phone customers, and you won't have to take those orders either (BONUS!). But that would be crappy and definitely poor business, so why do that, right? So I ask the guys "hey guys, that's me on the phone, how did I deserve to be treated so poorly?", to which one said they were busy (not true, they were literally finishing the one ordering person ahead of me, and there were two of them there, on separate registers), and the other mumbled something weird about a problem with the bathroom earlier in the day, as tho that somehow explained putting someone on hold for 15 minutes, and coincidentally blocking all other phone orders while that call was on hold. So I asked them how I as a repeat and fairly frequent customer should feel about being treated that way, and predictably one of them said "you're welcome to feel however you want to feel about it", which is exactly what I figured he would say given his general demeanor towards the conversation, which is dismissive and disinterested, even a bit contemptuous. They were both aloof, standoffish, not in the least bit understanding, there was no apology offered, and in fact if anything I would call them defiantly almost aggressively standing their ground on this, as though they had acted in a reasonable way. It was incredibly disrespectful and crappy, and fully undeserved, I didn't raise my voice, say anything crappy, insult or demean them in any way, I just asked the question. It's just me saying it, but I treat people with honor and respect until they deserve differently, and even in this case where it was clear they had nothing but contempt for me and my point, I still said nothing crappy to them, except to let them know to look for this on Yelp, and here it is. But yeh, I was treated with dismissal and even some amount of contempt, for which I can literally find zero justification for it, maybe because I'm an older yt guy in a predominantly Latin area, but that seems like a reach, there's other people like me around, but there was really no reason to be like that, to the point of even calling out "have a nice day!" as I left, literally lamest and most cowardly way to say f-off that's been around for like 50 years....and comes off even lamer from young people.... Ok, there's why they went from a mildly favored place to a never again in a hot second, so buyer beware, there's some poor business practices being used at this place, and I tend to not give places that treat me poorly more good money after bad, you might want to factor my experience into what you spend your money on in this case. ‍ read more

I did not know I grew up 5 mins away ...and today was the first time I ate there! It was amazing! I met some long times friends I haven't seen in about 10yrs. It was an amazing time! The food was amazing! So many options. I ordered from the photo reviews to help me decide. It never goes wrong. All 4 of us had a great time, and i got an order to go for my mom. I was there for 4 hours, but I kept ordering more drinks and more food, so I was contributing the whole time. I'm definitely coming here every single time I visit! The workers were all nice!
