While most of my crew seemed to enjoy their food, I thought mine was just okay.. I got a chicken gyro with fries and a lavender lemonade. I truly liked the lemonade, it was sweet and refreshing. However, my fries came out borderline cold and the gyro was soggy, falling apart, and just overall not very well put together. The flavor was okay, but I've had better and I wouldn't get it again. I often wonder: if you have so many things on your menu, how you can have everything be good? Perhaps this was just one of the items that fell through the cracks, so to speak. Absolutely unacceptable experience. I waited 40 minutes for my order, only to be told that my receipt was never printed for the kitchen, so my food was never even started. Not once during those 40 minutes did anyone bother to check on the status of my order or notify me that there was a problem. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, I was told it would take 7 days for the money to be returned to my card. Funny how the restaurant had no problem taking my money instantly, but somehow needs a week to give it back after failing to provide the food I paid for. What's even more frustrating is that this is the SECOND time this exact thing has happened to me at this location. Clearly, there are serious issues with their order management process, and no effort has been made to fix them. The final insult was the shift manager, who sat there smirking while I left frustrated and empty-handed. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to make things right, and no sense of accountability. After two experiences like this, I can confidently say I won't be returning. Customers deserve better communication, better service, and basic respect for their time and money. read more

First visit at local spot with my friends for breakfast. Open seating, very spacious. Decor is rustic with high ceilings and a little industrial but the contrast works and feels warm. Lots of light and big screen TV looks like a great place to watch sports. Cafeteria style, order up front and they bring to your table. I checked out the menu the night before and had already settled on getting pancakes. When I got there I was a little bit more hungry so I decided to get a side of bacon as well as fresh squeeze juice. I really enjoy fresh squeeze juice (I saw a little sign) and I did not see that on the menu so I thought I would try it. Orange and carrot juice is my go to. Pancakes were good, bacon crispy and juice was refreshingly delicious. I admit my meal was a bit pricey -I wish I had seen the specials that were advertised outside on the outside only restaurant window. I wouldn't have ordered everything ala cart. My total was $32 including tip. I believe in supporting local businesses but even for me that busted my budget for breakfast. Would be a nice spot for small groups too. First time here but it definitely won't be the last. I asked the staff which was more popular breakfast burrito or chorizo burrito. He said definitely chorizo burrito and he was not wrong. Really good flavor. It seemed like it was homemade because it didn't have that store bought orange grease dripping all over. You get a choice of salad or chips. I chose the chips. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. A little container of green salsa came with the meal. Next time I need to ask for the red. The burrito didn't need anything else so I used the green salsa for my chips. I ate everything! I didn't realize I didn't eat anything the rest of the day until I went to bed! It's a "self" serve type of restaurant. You grab a menu when you walk in. Order at the counter and they give you a table number. They'll bring your food out to you. If you want anything there's a long counter near the "bar". Take out containers, all the condiments. They do have napkin dispenser and salt and pepper on the table. They have a refreshing cucumber lemon also for self service. The space is very rustic industrial. I love the spacious restaurant. It's very ADA friendly with a ramp leading to the bathroom. Everything was kept very clean and tidy. Highly recommend for groups. Everyone orders individually at the counter. No "mathing" needs to be done after you have a full belly. The only downside is parking. They don't have any public lots on their side of the street. There is one hour free parking on Maclay but it is on the same block as other popular restaurants. read more

We stumbled upon this gem in the heart of San Fernando in mid-February, and I'm glad we did. It's truly a family-friendly spot with plenty of street parking. The space is large and open, with lots of tables that can accommodate different party sizes, and the music set a nice, relaxed vibe. The food was great. We tried the crunchy French toast topped with banana, Nutella, and strawberries -- BOMB. We also ordered the breakfast sausage bagel, which was satisfying and perfect if you want something filling without being too heavy. The orange juice tasted fresh, which is always a plus. The only thing I'd suggest improving is the coffee -- unfortunately, it wasn't great. Service-wise, the staff was friendly and organized. Each waitress handled her own section, and everything from the tables to the floors was clean. As for pricing: tip was not included (as of Feb 2026). I use to like this place as a nice place chill place to go eat without the commitment of a full restaurant. I like the vibes and music they play. Staff are friendly. But $20 for a cheese steak panini with nearly no meat and overloaded with onion was a huge disappointment. The onion rings were soggy and had no flavor. The bread was not the right bread for this- all i tasted was thick bread and onion. Also, for $22 my husband got a an overcooked chicken pesto panini with bottom of the bag left over fries. Spent $71 for this family of 4 meal, wasn't worth it at all. Another $18 for 2 small deserts... have yet to try them but based on other reviews, I'm sure it's another disappointment. With the menu being the brightest you'll ever see a menu be, you'd think that the food wouldn't be as great or the portions might not be as big. I've been here a couple of times and every time I visit I am genuinely surprised!! Everything I've had here is amazing, my most recent visit being my favorite. It been a while since I came to this UCrave location but since my wife and I was in the area, she was craving some crepes. We were lucky to find street parking just down the block so we walk to this place. I had to use the bathroom and my wife was craving crepes so it all worked out. They were not busy at all when we came, so I was able to just walk to the counter to place our order. I asked for the Nutella and powder sugar to be on the side because they tend to put a lot on or in the crepe. The men bathroom here is very dark since the light is very dim so be aware. They have an extensive Mimosa menu so we ordered two different flavors. Half of us preferred the cucumber, the other half preferred the pineapple flavored one. Staff are friendly and helpful. Space is large and could accommodate large groups. There is a parking lot in the back but it gets full. Metered parking is available in the surrounding sreets. Second- don't explain delays by saying "we're short staffed". If you don't have the staff to efficiently serve clientele then don't open or at least pause the Doordash and Postmates orders temporarily. I still payed the full price ($50) for eggs and a simple sandwich. Even with the long wait, I still had hope for the sandwich... but it ended up tasting bland. Maybe it was the iceberg lettuce, or the fact that I had already downed a large iced coffee by the time I got my food. Incredibly disappointing experience. I don't usually write reviews like this, but this experience earned one. We spent $53 on six desserts -- a lemon bar, apple bar, churro, tiramisu, a slice of Godiva cake, and carrot cake -- and five out of five people agreed: almost everything was inedible. The only items that didn't end up in the trash were the churro and the tiramisu. Everything else was dry, stale, or hard enough to make you question how long it had been sitting there. The lemon bar and apple bar tasted like they'd been aging in a display case for days. The cakes were so dry they practically crumbled into dust. Freshness clearly isn't a priority here, which honestly isn't surprising when the menu looks like a novel. When a place tries to offer a hundred different desserts, quality is usually the first thing to go. For a bakery/dessert shop, freshness is the bare minimum. Charging premium prices for what tasted like leftovers is unacceptable. We were excited to treat ourselves -- instead, we threw most of it away. Save your money. There are plenty of places that actually bake fresh desserts and don't rely on an overloaded menu to hide declining quality. read more

I had a burger from here about 4 months ago and it was awesome. It came with a very fresh and delicious side salad and burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. I returned yesterday for the same meal and it was awful. They didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked which was the first sign of something wrong. The burger was dry and the meat tasted different. The bacon was very off and I couldn't eat more than 2 bites before wanting to get sick. The bun was also stale. AND if that wasn't enough, the "spring salad" was a stack of the same lettuce that they put on the burger. I paid $25 for this meal and could have had a much better one at Burger King for half the cost. What happened to the food here? The burger was so good back in September when I first ordered it. If you are looking to eat something, good and satisfying but not very heavy this is your spot. They have great choice of food, drinks, sweet - will satisfy anyone in your group. We had girls day out lunch and it was great, everyone was happy with their choice and food was delicious. They are always busy and sometimes there is a wait time, however, there are some outside sitting and when the weather is nice, it's a beautiful place to go to.
