Our room was perfect with a balcony we enjoyed in the evening. There's a bell room with a washer and dryer, even a couch while you wait and AC. The check in service was great. In the morning on our way to breakfast we were asked about our stay. There's a breakfast buffet which was included with room. I'm so glad bc there's not a lot around town and everything closes pretty early too. There's also a gift shop act the front desk. The pool and hot tub are amazing indoors with large windows displaying the beautiful red rock and great outdoors. There's a pretty stone shower and restroom La are available le there too. In the same building is the gym and a beautiful sitting area with a fireplace and even a dining table. It's all around gorgeous.

They have a HUGE solar array on site for fossil free driving. I have been visiting the Recapture for 30 years now. Spending a week every year, the Recapture is absolutely my home away from home. The owners are awesome, the breakfasts excellent. It's so easy to make friends here with the other guests. The whole vibe of the Recapture and the small town of Bluff is captivating. there is so much to explore in the area for the history and the scenic lands.

The place is and elevated motel in a quaint town of Blanding. You're greeted at arrival by a kindly and courtesy host. I love no door key to lose just a code to get into your room. The parking lot is nicely set up the lodge is surrounded by lovely plants and trees. We had a nice patio set outside which we used to have dinner. Our room was quite large w a big bed there's two night stands a desk area large tv on and dresser; another bed in an alcove is great for another person to have a bit of privacy w a night stand. The room had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker w a selections of coffee and teas. Bathroom was large and a great shower area w a nice shower head that had good hot water when needed. The amenities were awesome. The soap smelled great and had an amazing exfoliating seeds build in. The body lotion felt so luxurious on my skin. Towels and bed linens were perfect. If you read my posts about food you know I'm a water snob well when lodging in a sheet snob (my husband would say I'm like the princess and the pea). The sheets were soft and comfy. We had a restful nights sleep and awesome shower w great pressure. We then we welcomed to a breakfast all homemade even seemed the juices we fresher squeezed. I had the savory crusty bread w egg, tomato, kielbasa, ham and cheese inside it was so yummy. They had whole wheat cinnamon rolls that the frosting was great as well as the great flavor. The overnight chia was great loved the creaminess of the mixture but the fruit on top was fresh. The oj was as fresh and the coffee (I'm not a coffee drink but my mom said it was great). She gave us banana bread to take and it was dense and great. We ate breakfast in the back garden which was pretty and peaceful. They had patio tables, picnic tables but also had chaises and fire pits. The housekeeping staff left something to be desired as well. Service is upon request, but that means tracking someone down and ensuring a one-for-one trade of dirty and clean. Understandable, but when I ask for one clean washcloth and am instead handed two or three by a given staff member, I don't expect to be chided by another staff member standing with us in the supply room. What it lacked in hospitality and service, it did make up for in scenery.

I found this through the national Parks site, had to rank several choices and wait to hear back, so I didn't remember which one we chose or anything about it. After driving three hours through barren desert, Goulding's Lodge was like an oasis! The setting is absolutely stunning. It was other worldly and familiar at the same time, because the old westerns were filmed here! The staff was friendly and peppy. The cabin was clean, relatively new, and complete with a kitchen. The restaurant was quaint and vintage. The best part was the bonfire that the staff built for us! Sitting around stargazing was so memorable with our kids. We were all sad that it was a quick stop, but said we would love to come back to stay longer! If you're used to four or five star places, maybe you won't be impressed. But in context for the area it was pretty great! Also has laundry, on site grocery and gas. We went home and watched John Wayne in Stagecoach, and vowed we would go back!

The walls were thin and you can hear people walking upstairs. Our upstairs neighbors didn't stop walking until after midnight. Worst night at a hotel. The patio is nice with great views. I wish this facility had a complimentary coffee and hot water like other hotels. I would have given them a 5 even after my terrible night.

They may not be open for reservations but as soon as they open they will call or automatically book you. If you want to wake up and see the sun rise over the mittens, this is where to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but would definitely stay up the road at Goulding's. The restaurant at the View cannot hold a candle to Goulding's. I could eat at Goulding's for days and not grow tired! We ate at the view because it was there. The path to drive into Monument Valley is right here in the parking lot of the view. We were lucky to see the Monuments in the snow and snow. The gift shop is also very overpriced.

There is absolutely almost nothing around this place, so very important that you bring your own food for when you do stay here as you will be very unhappy with the restaurant on site. Other than that, we do strongly recommend this place.
