When I first contacted her, we were unable to find a good time for me to meet up with her in San Francisco for a trial appointment since our work schedules conflicted. Instead of letting me go as a client and referring me to someone else, Tara actually went above and beyond and volunteered to drive from San Francisco to Sacramento (where I live) to do the trial run at my house. She didn't even charge me for traveling costs because she felt bad that we could not find a good date for me to go to her in SF for my trial, which I know most artists would normally charge any client for anyway. During the trial, Tara had very clean brushes, high quality makeup and was very detailed and made sure she took her time with perfecting the look I wanted. She also often stopped to ask me if I was okay with the progress of my hair and makeup and gladly made any changes that I requested. She really took her time and never once worried about what time it was or that she would have to leave after the agreed time for the trial. She actually went into overtime but did not charge me for that either and I honestly felt she was more worried about making me happy and giving me the perfect style than to leave on time. She was very talkative and made the trial very fun and comfortable and time seemed to zoom by. Tara showed up on time on the day of my wedding and was really nice and friendly to both myself and the bridal party. She took her time and made sure my mom and bridesmaid looked beautiful (and they were!). I really wanted a natural look and Tara definitely executed that! I loved my hair and airbrush makeup because it lasted all evening long and I did not feel like a clown with heavy makeup nor did I have to retouch anything throughout the evening. The best part about it all was that I still looked like myself and felt she did a flawless job. I was truly happy with my overall look. Tara is extremely laid back and talented and I feel she sees this more as her passion rather than just a job that pays the bills. That's what makes her so awesome! She was so sweet and patient during the trial and wedding day and really did make me feel like every penny spent was worth it. I would definitely recommend her for any future brides and actually look forward to the next opportunity to have her do my hair and makeup again. Honestly, Sharon is so good at what she does, I don't even think I needed a trial because I absolutely loved what she did but it gave me peace of mind and reassurance. I told her all my concerns (oily skin, hair that doesn't hold curls, etc) and she made sure it was all addressed. I had SO many compliments after my trial and on wedding day. My hair normally doesn't hold a curl but I wanted cohesive waves and they held the entire night without making my hair feel stiff. She was perfectly on time too. Her arrival, set up and doing my mom's makeup, my sister's hair and makeup and then mine. She ended perfectly at the end time we aimed for too.
