The place is a small shop and the shop owner stated they've been there for 51 years. They only had the butterfly and almond cookies left roughly one hour before closing. I was never an almond cookie lover so I skipped on trying that but I found out at my party that several party goers loved almond cookies when they grew up so I'll be back for more butterflies and almond cookies in my next event. They have ample parking in this lot so there will always be parking to get your treats.

For 10 years and have been coming here regularly for EVERYTHING they've got: pastries, cookies, tamales, birthday cakes and party sandwiches. You can show up any time of day and there's always the full selection of FRESH sweet breads and cakes. I've gone countless times for last minute birthday cakes for my family and they've always done the writing for me while I wait. The staff is great about getting you what you need and making sure you're happy with their work. I'm not sure if it's my luck or not but it seems that every time I go, there's a baker on hand that can write or paint a cake while you wait and they usually have lots of blank/white ones to choose from in several flavors and sizes. Our favorite is their strawberry cakes! My mom, who's actually a cake baker herself, just LOVES the freshness of the strawberries and frosting. The cake is light and fluffy and the strawberries are cool and fresh. Also, I'm not a big fan of Tres Leches but this is the only place I'll eat it from. Not too soggy, not dripping all over the place and a great flavor. Be sure to try their Tamales. I find they're the perfect mix of masa and filling. I just wish they had more kinds, only three I think. My whole family, from Chino Hills to Whittier to Diamond Bar prefers this bakery over any they know in the area because its the best in La Puente! read more

On weekends if you go in the morning, you will see a handful of people eating desayuno there, platos tipicos. Very reminsicent of El Salvador. Much of the reason this place has been there for so many decades is because of the community it serves. It may not be the prettiest or boujee of bakeries, but it def has the sabor de El Salvador.
