    Moist chocolate castella cake
    Ann T.

Super cute bakery tucked away in the corner of this plaza. Since the market closed down I wanted a little snack before the event that we were going to go to and the only other option for that was the donuts, but as we made the turn I saw Bleu Bakery in the corner and wanted to stop by. Glad we did! It's self serve bread, so grab a tray and grab what you'd like. There's lots of unique breads and pastries here too like a red velvet castella, corn sable, different sweet potato creamy breads, goguma bun, etc. and you also have classics here like the sausage bread, melon pan, chocolate spiral cornet, etc. Their cakes are also pretty and cute looking. I think I might swing by to grab one for the next celebration! There's a little nook to the side with tables and seating and you can enjoy your breads and coffee here and chat or work on something. They even cut the bread for you which is super nice. The ladies working here are very friendly and welcoming. I got a chocolate castella cake (stayed moist days after and fresh), a sweet potato bread, goguma bread, corn sable (family ate this before I could try), and these cute little breads that looked like corn (had actual corn in it) and a potato (had mashed potatoes in it). Unique and yummy. I'll definitely drop by again!

Best Korean bakery I've had outside of Korea. I've had a lot of bakeries in the Koreatown area, but they honestly aren't that fresh. They were constantly bringing out fresh made pastries. The mixed berry mini cake is perfect for a few people and it's sooo yummy and fresh! Not too sweet and just amazing. Highly recommend. The owner is so sweet and I love the different twists they've put on classic Korean donuts I grew up eating. They have a nice little seating area, but most people actually just buy bags and bags of pastries to go. Can't wait to go back soon!

A local bakery that I had never been to before until recently when a friend's birthday was that night and we needed to buy a cake. Bleu is a local bakery that makes a variety of breads and beautiful cakes of different sizes. We got the blueberry one and it wasn't too sweet at all and we were able to eat it! The owner was really nice and she also gave us candles and a sign that says happy birthday. So if you are ever in the Rowland Heights area stop by and check out this cute little bakery shop. Plenty of parking and it was a tasty cake!

Bleu Bakery *October 11, 2025 *7am- Saturday *3 Stars Environment: *Large Parking Lot *Indoor Seating *Large Variety Food/Drink: *Pineapple Cream *Mocha Roll Slice *Chestnut Cookies *Strawberry Cream Cheese *Castella *Pan Castella I went right when the bakery opened with the hope of getting some items for a brunch. When I got there they were still in the process of bagging and setting out products. Only about a quarter of the items were available at the time. The staff was friendly and mentioned I could ask about anything I didn't see, but when I inquired about the chestnut manju bread, they said it wasn't made that day. Before going, I tried checking their online menu, but there wasn't anything listed, which made it a bit hard to plan what to try ahead of time. Before leaving, I asked what time they usually have all their items out, and they said around 10am This was a little surprising to me since they open at 7am. I would've expected most items to be ready by 8:30am or 9am at the latest. Overall, the bakery items were reasonably priced and not too sweet. I just wish I'd been able to see the full selection.

Pasties so soft and fresh! I've never even notice this plaza until now. It's on the same plaza as Greenland Market (Korean supermarket). Services is great! Lady that helped me was very sweet and recommended their popular options. They sell coffee, bread, and cake. Worth checking it out! Pricing is comparable as other bakeries like $3-4 each.

This is a Korean owned Bakery that is located in the Greenland Market Strip Mall Plaza ( mostly Korean owned stores ) off the corner of Colima and Nogales. There is a huge parking lot there so parking won't be an issue. Bleu Bakery is like Korean version of Porto. It mainly sells bread, some cakes and a few coffee. It has a indoor patio places connected next to it so you can sit down and enjoy your coffee and bread. The lady/server there originally was friendly. I specifically asked her if i can take pictures and record. She said yes. I told her that I take them to post it up for reviews on google and yell. Then I guess another one of the lady employee came into work. She was speaking Korean which I don't understand but her tone of talking to her colleagues and her gesture didn't sound nice. I had a feeling they were talking to me because it is a little obvious. I would prefer her to speak to me if there is any problem since I'm open to any feedback or comments from her. But overall, it was a great experience and I appreciate the staff there for being friendly and allow me to take some pictures.

I'm surprised this place isn't blown up!!! This place is more than a cake shop, they have a wide selection of yummy pastries and breads. Came here with the intent of buying a birthday cake and bought a mini chocolate one for $26 dollars! I appreciate the the different sizes to pick from

I really like this bakery! The breads are really fresh and not overly sweet or taste artificial! I can tell they use real ingredients. The store is small, clean and has plenty of counter for different type of bread and even a coffee machine! I got the whole red bean bun, chocolate cake, and custard bun. The red bean bun had a lot of filings and the red bean is not overly sweet, taste just right. The chocolate cake was moist had a bit of cream/marshmallow at the bottom. The custard was light and perfectly sweet. Service was attentive, the cashier helped right away and was very friendly.

they had a lot of options to choose from and everything I got was so delicious!!! The owner /worker is also very kind~Will be back !!

Complimentary candles, edible chocolate birthday topper, cake cutter, and matches! Very thoughtful of the owners!

I would have never thought to visit this hidden establishment if my brother in law didn't ask my husband and I to get a cake last minute! Cute, cozy, bright and a very orderly place. Glad we went with their premium cake, along with a few baked goods! With our walk-in order, we received complimentary birthday candles, a cake cutter, and matches - she even gifted us extra baked goods as a thank you. In this economy - just wow. Haven't had this kind of top tier customer service experience in a while. We truly appreciate the experience. Highly recommend!! By the way, their premium white cake with strawberry filling was amazing and fluffy - not rich or too sweet, just right!

    Creamy black sesame red bean

Bleu Bakery has a cozy, homey vibe, and the friendly staff was helpful in explaining the differences between their various breads. Here's what I tried: Chestnut Manju - Fresh and dense with a soft, flavorful crust, especially the part with sesame seeds. Not too sweet, which I liked. Almond Cake - Dense with a cornbread-like texture, hints of cinnamon, and raisins. It was drier than I would have preferred. Curry Croquette - Crispy and savory with a flavorful curry sauce inside. Soboro - I picked this up thinking it resembled a pineapple bun, but it had a denser texture with a subtle peanut undertone. Creamy Black Sesame Red Bean - Light, fresh cream inside with a generous amount of red bean filling. The black sesame on the outside adds a nice complementary flavor. My personal favorites were the soboro and creamy black sesame red bean. Would definitely recommend giving this bakery a try!

The middle section of more common pastries!
    Jenny C.

Bleu Bakery is an unexpected (but very cool) find on Yelp!!! The Korean owned bakery is "tucked" at the corner toward the back of this multiple sectional plaza (and not easily visible from Colima). The price range is moderate but have some very unique flavors that stands out from your very standard store. The almond cream bun, red velvet castell cake, ube-cream puff, black season bun and whole red beans (not red bean paste buns) really stood out from their competitors. If you're ever in the area and craving something extraordinary, don't miss out on this little bakery that feels like a well-kept secret. TIP: 30 minutes before closing in the middle of the week, all the pastries displayed on the "common table" - middle section are all 50% off!

been here twice and will be back for more! the blueberry cake is my go to birthday cake- not too sweet and the blueberries are DELICIOUS. so sweet, juicy, and big. the owner is sooo friendly. she takes her time and meticulously wraps the cake for you, tape the box and make sure it's extra secured! the hotdog bread is really good too. the bread has layers and has a buttery sweet savory taste to it. will definitely be back to try others!

A few weeks beforehand, I stopped by to ask about their sheet cake options because we were hoping to order the cappuccino flavor. At the time, I was told it was available, but when it came time to place the order, they said they no longer offered it, even though it was still listed on the ordering sheet. We ended up ordering the tiramisu cake instead, and it turned out to be a great choice. Although it wasn't the flavor we originally wanted, everyone really enjoyed it. They also did a beautiful job decorating the top with an assortment of fresh fruit, which made it look perfect for the celebration. Overall, I was really happy with how everything turned out. The staff was friendly throughout the ordering process, and the cake looked beautiful and tasted great. I'm glad we decided to use JJ Bakery for such a special occasion and would definitely order from them again.
