Came in for a haircut after patronizing other big barbers and haircuts. Pricing was just as expensive, if not slightly lower than them ($35+ tip). Atmosphere was good. Good music. Open area for seating. Wait time was instant (given the time of day I went in). The haircut itself went by smoothly. No botches, roughhousing, or issues. My only complaint, which knocks this from a 5 to a 4, is the payment options. It's cash or Zelle, with the payment going completely towards the barber. I found it strange, but thought nothing of it. Thankfully, I have a Zelle account. Otherwise, this situation would've gotten awkward since I normally carry credit cards on my person. I like this joint. Glad it's local. Found this place about eight months ago. I needed a haircut, and Siri told me that this was the closest place. Walked in and waited maybe five minutes. Giovanni (sp?) was my barber, and he did a great job. I've been back three times, each time a different barber, and my haircuts always look great. I was there yesterday at about 2:30pm, and there were three people waiting ahead of me. A lady barber said she was ready, and the three guys were waiting on another barber, so I said sure. I got a low fade from the female barber in the past and felt like she did a great job cutting my hair but with other barbers i felt a little rushed off the chair. I paid $15 for a fade last time before covid but since then Cost is 25$ for a fade now. Stopped by for my first time yesterday. I live close by, and best of all is that they are open till 7:00pm. It's hard to find a barber shop that does not close after 6pm. Getting off work after five, stuck in traffic, just makes it hard to get your cut during the week. Just walking in, the place was clean, smelled good, and was greeted with a "ready" before even sitting down. TANK cut me up, didn't take long at all, and made sure he was cutting my hair exactly the way i wanted. Gave me a nice fade, and straight razored the top of my beard. 4 stars only because they don't use pressured-air to blow you off or a hair dryer either. Great fade, guy didnt listen to what i asked for at all. Told him to leave the length of my hair and do a little trim along with a fade but he went ahead and started cutting however he wanted. Very unprofessional and lack of detail on his part completely. As a barber you should cut the customers hair the way THEY asked you to cut it. I took my boys here the day before Christmas for a cut, the cut the was not the best. I called to complain, because $30 for each is pretty pricey to have their hair looking the way it did. I spoke to the owner Andrew over the phone and advised me to come in for a refund. I walked in and he immediately directed me to the guy who cut the boys hair, he took zero responsibility for his shop and did not apologize not once. The barber himself offered the refund and apologized which I appreciated. However, as a business owner Andrew needs to take responsibility for his employees and he should have offered the refund and apologized for the bad service I received at HIS shop!! I tried to walk in around 5:50 they told me they were done for today, I had respected that because the place closes at 6pm, so I had asked what time they opened the next day and they told me 11am. I arrive the next day at 11:50am and the place is closed. I go off to the bank and return around 12:30-12:40 pm, and the place still hasn't opened. This isn't the first time they've jerked people around with their schedule, my brother at times runs into the same problem. Other times in Yelp and in Google it says it's open and upon arrival it's closed. I understand possibly because of Covid their schedules have changed, but at least be professional about it, and clarify when those times arrive. Don't even bother with the phone number they never answer. The phone number hasn't worked in the past couple of months. I called to ask if they were open during Covid, they didn't answer.
