Absolutely the worst 2 nights of sleep I have ever gotten. We had a room immediately by a door that led outside. The door had zero resistance so it slammed every single time people went in and out. This happened well into the late evening and very early morning. It would keep me awake and prevent me from falling back asleep. The staff did not care at all and couldn't be bothered. The front desk is no help in getting anything for you. When you ask to talk to a manger they say that you have to tell them and they will forward it to management. Meh. When we checked in it seemed like your average mid-range hotel. It smelled musty in the hallways. Curtains were hanging limply from one side. Room had seen plenty of use, and housekeeping didn't do the best job vacuuming as a few obvious pieces of litter remained. Ice is only available on the ground floor. Still, none of this would have driven me to leave a review but the kicker was the refusal to clean our room except on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (unless you specifically request it, but they don't tell you that in advance). The room has two tiny trash cans that are full, I was expecting at least fresh towels, remaking beds (not sure I want to touch that mattress...hoping the stain isn't blood), And hoping this time housekeeping would get all the litter from the floor that was left from before we checked in. For $160 a night I expect a bit more effort. read more

Dump Dump Dump did I say dump enough? There is no staff working the front desk, the hotel is filthy and smells from when you first walk in. The room was in dis-repair, sinks plugged, telephone to call front desk not working, shower curtain falling off the wall.........etc...etc..... There was no ice machine on our floor and the breakfast was not worth eating. We could not get room service even after personally asking, and nothing on weekends due to staffing issues even when our room was over $250! for the Friday night. The worst part was the bbq and music fest going on outside the back door each night. Our stay at La Quinta was very disappointing given we have gad good experiences previously at La Quinta. The staff werevery nice. Problems: 1. Cockroaches in bathroom - photo attached 2. Breakfast area not clean and had a foul odor. 3. The chairs in yhe breakfast area sit super low and make it hard to eat at the tables. 4. There was ice covering the handicap parking area where you get out of the car. My special needs son almost went down about every time we went out there. We did request they please clean the ice. More than a day later, someone dumped a bumch or ourple salt there (they never shiveled the ice). By the second day this was the situation. Clearly they do not know how to remove ice. No oke dumps salt like that that has any experience with ice removal fo guests. 5. We asked for a quiet room as my son is a super light sleeper. We were placed next to the laundry room and the machine sounds like a jet engine warming up. Not great. I would recommend finding an AirBNB or another hotel - maybe the Marriott for a few dollars more. It's worth it. read more

The towels were covered in heavy stains, there was a leftover towel in the bathroom from either the cleaning crew or a previous guest. There was visible debris and a penny on the bathroom floor, very apparent that it had not been swept. No conditioner or cups in the room, we had to go to the front desk to ask for cups. read more

We have stayed at this laquinta many times and theres really never been a problem until now. We stayed here thur to sat ( valentines day). When we got there our room was DIRTY! We figured that since friday we were going to be gone most of the day, that when house keeping came they would clean everything since if was pretty obvious that it was dirty. We came back friday evening...our towels were replaced, bed was made and it was vacuumed but nothing was wiped down! Nothing! We were pretty disgusted. Also the whole time we stayed there housekeeping had their kids "helping" them. They were staying in one of the rooms but they were running up and down the halls laughing constantly pretty early in the morning. We asked them nicely to quiet down since we were still sleeping but all we got was dirty looks and no quiet. Our stay was not as nice as it has been in the past...quite disappointed! read more

We needed a getaway to Bear Lake and everything was booked. LAQUINTA inn was our choice because we had our Diesel (dog) with us. Being that this place is DOG friendly I was expecting smelly but it was very clean. Staff was kind and accommodating. Room is HUGE. We enjoyed our stay here. We got a Standard King room I'm happy it had a pull out sofa bed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and they serve a good breakfast. I would have been happier if the drains in the sink and especially the shower worked better. I didn't like the slow drain while showering. Also I was missing pillows for the pull out bed and the front desk staff member told me they had recently replaced their old pillows and didn't have any extra to give me. read more

Absolutely horrifying. The bathrooms are disgusting (photos attached). I actually like the look of the room but the lack of cleanliness is sickening. Other guests that stay here are obnoxiously loud and rude. They allow their children to run boisterously through the halls, yelling, playing and slamming doors. I have never stayed in a hotel with this many issues. When I originally checked in, I was given a room that wasn't cleaned yet. The rooms were huge and the beds comfy! We had a long trip that day so stayed in and order door dash because we were so impressed after some of the other hotels we had stayed in on our trip. There was pretty good selection for breakfast too. The only complaints really were the size of the bathroom, you felt a little trapped and the same for the elevator. read more

If I could give NO stars, I would. Avoid this hotel at all costs and stay at any of the nicer ones nearby. It started when we made the reservation. My family and I had been traveling all day and needed to find a place to rest. The reservations specialist on the phone quoted us $95 at the beginning of the phone call, then JUST before charging our card, it somehow went up to $150! Way too expensive for a few hours of sleep, but whatever. It was VERY late and we were exhausted, so we just bit the bullet. Upon arriving, first glance looked like a nice hotel. Then when we got out we saw trash all over the place, sketchy looking people hanging out around the entrance, and a very run down hotel. The trash continued all the way to the second floor where our room was. The room numbers were hand written on the walls above the plaques which in itself is odd and tacky. There was mold growing in the bathroom and on the tub, water damage and holes in walls, torn and dirty curtains, badly stained carpet, greasy smudges on the headboards, dirt all over the sofa, and the room had a gross smell to it. The bed and the pillows felt lumpy and old, the lock was broken off the door, and the bathroom door was scratched up, dirty, and in need of replacement. We didn't even want to shower and this was after nearly a week of camping. It was that bad. I can't believe how nasty and grossly overpriced this place was. We have never stayed at a La Quinta Inn before, and will never stay again based off of this experience. read more

We were not the biggest fans of the breakfast, but that was a personal decision and there wasn't anything wrong with it. We made a group reservation (6 rooms) many months ago for a family reunion. Arrived on our check-in date only to learn they had "oversold" rooms and I could not check in to my room. The front desk was dismissive of me and could not have cared less. The person who originally took my reservation in person months ago (named Crystal) no longer worked there and my name/reservation number had vanished from their system. I ended up staying 25 miles away and commuting back and forth to the weekend events. This location has been remodeled recently enough that everything is clean and nice, but it's still a La Quinta, you know? Thin walls and floors mean you hear a lot if what's going on around you. March 17, 2018 No hot water for a morning shower. No working telephone for emergencies. I am upset beyond the words I've written here, so please take this with deserved seriousness. As a senior in my 70s, I have had many hotel experiences in my travels and this one has upset me immeasurably and has left me with little reason to maintain my relationship with your hotel group that I've had over the years unless this situation is resolved to my satisfaction. My overnight stay at the La Quinta property in Logan, Utah, began well enough at check-in Friday, March 16, 2018. It is, perhaps, the only pleasant experience I had during my stay. Before leaving for dinner, I tried to heat the room a few degrees for a more comfortable temperature upon our return, only to find that when ramping up the thermostat, cool air came from the heater a minute later and never did begin to heat up as I waited for several minutes before giving up and turning everything off to leave for dinner. This was a very bad start for what I would have assumed to be a pleasant, unassuming overnight stay with a well-regarded national hotel group that, heretofore, my family had been pleased with. Saturday morning, as my husband was getting a newspaper in the lobby, I began my morning shower routine by turning the shower control to the normal warm-hot position and waited a minute for the water to come to an appropriate temperature. I stood fully undressed for another minute or two until realizing the water temperature had never warmed up. There was to be no morning shower. I became increasingly incensed by the lack of attention of hotel property staff for this to be happening to me when all I wanted to do was to wash my hair and clean myself up for the day as billions of people do around the world every day. With frustration and tension mounting with what had just happened, I got dressed in fresh street clothes--still not cleaned up as I would any other given day--and went to call the front desk to inquire about the lack of hot water. Pushing the first telephone button, I realized there was no "beep" tone to it and when pushing again, the same thing: no button tone. I looked around the phone to discover a bundled-up telephone cord that had been secured with a rubber band and had no connection at the end of it; nothing could be plugged into the wall. Had there been a medical emergency, a room fire, a serious malfunction of equipment--an iron or hair dryer--there would be no immediate way to contact anyone; hotel staff, ambulance, police or fire department and t's an unacceptable condition to be operating a property that lacks a basic working telephone for emergencies. More than my inability to take a shower, now I had no hotel phone to call the front desk. When my husband returned, I explained what I'd just gone through and I went to the lobby, first apologizing to the front desk clerk saying that I knew that it wasn't her fault for my inability to shower due to the lack of hot water and I had no emergency phone capability but, nonetheless, it was unacceptable. Another guest unknown to me--from St. George in down-state Utah--also was there to speak with her about the same lack of hot water for a shower. And we both agreed that we should not have to pay for our hotel stay because of the deficiency of such a basic requirement for hotels Beyond these major lapses are annoyances that are far beneath the standards of a national hotel concern. A sticky floor is something that no family would find acceptable at home, so finding one in my room in front of the bathroom sink and counter was disconcerting upon entering the room after check-in Friday and my queasiness for my La Quinta room rose immediately. Also, as a family that travels with a small dog in a crate, I've long appreciated the La Quinta pet policy, which is why I often choose La Quinta when booking rooms. But when I took my Shih Tzu on a potty break, I discovered that not only were no plastic bag and disposal stations for hotel guests to use, there was no sense there was clean-up of existing pet waste on the grassy areas of the property that hotel management would staff to make up for the lack of attention on the part of some hotel guest pet owners. This was not the situation I've experienced at other La Quinta hotels through the years. When staying at competing pet-friendly hotel chains when La Quinta's are not an option, they are usually diligent at accommodating pet owners with the requisite clean-up equipment to make their stay with pets as pleasant as can be expected when away from home. Additionally, the clerk told me there were no managers available to speak with for the entire weekend. I then wondered if standards--at best--changed, and--at worst--lowered, when Wyndham and La Quinta joined in a corporate merger. Regardless, I thought, things were not right for me in this scenario. We were hopefully optimistic despite bad reviews because we had an ok experience last year at the same location during the same time of year but this year was absolutely terrible. Although the owners/employees were very nice, the room and even the lobby and hallways were filthy. We had stains on our towels and the couch had grass on them, just to name a few...Considering COVID of course there are some things that we are able to look past like the extreme need for updating. The curtains had holes in them for starters. But cleanliness is not debatable, especially during this time. We were already nervous to stay in a hotel during this COVID pandemic and we became more so when we entered our room. We will not be returning ever again. read more

I stayed there overnight a week ago, on a trip with a friend. We had booked a room with two beds but when we checked in late evening, we couldn't get the air conditioner to work at all, and had sweat pouring down our faces. The front desk said they could have their repairman come work on it or give us a discount on a room with only one bed. We didn't want to have the repairman in our room all evening because we had to wake up really early, so we reluctantly accepted the room with one bed to share because everywhere else in town was full. We didn't sleep well because of sharing the bed, and the refrigerator was half full of ice, needed defrosting, so our food and drinks wouldn't fit in. When we got our bill, there was no discount, so it was $120 for a room with one bed. We've tried calling the manager for a week now and every time are told "he's not in today" so still haven't received the price discount we were promised. I just called today and was told the manager will be in tomorrow, but that's what we were told the day we checked out and couldn't reach the manager that day either. My gas was stolen out of my tank in the parking lot that night and my windshield scratched. Two weeks earlier when we stayed there on another trip we had also booked a room with two beds for two people but they only put out towels and hygiene items for one person. We had to call the desk to tell them we weren't going to share the one bar of soap and tiny bottle of shampoo they gave us. They did bring us more soap and shampoo right away. The beds are comfortable and I do like that they give you four pillows for each queen size bed because I need those for positioning for back pain and because my friend doesn't need to bring pillows from home to prevent sleep apnea. But because of this second visit last week, my friend has stated we're not going to stay there ever again. read more

This room was the most affordable, and it was also huge!! I loved having the sitting area in the room. The pool and work out room were both really inviting. The staff made sure our stay was extremely comfortable and we had anything we needed. This will be my place to stay from now on, while I'm in Logan! I traveled 1200 miles for a company trip. I always stay at this hotel for the convention that is nearby. I show up to check-in only to be told my reservation does not exist and that it was "cancelled." I was then told he would "try" to find us a room. He then told me he only had one room left, but then later in the conversation asked "do you have a preference on what floor you stay on?" If there was only one room left, why did I have other options to choose from? I stay here every year and this year by far has been the worst I've ever experienced with this hotel. We were scheduled to stay here for a week, but when we woke up to the lack of hot water the next day, we checked out a moved to a different hotel. When we tracked him down, he mumbled that we did not have a room due to some maintenance issues. We stated, it is 12:20 a.m., no one has called to let us know. His mumbled response was, "They were supposed to call you". I had to ask who they was and he responded, "Expedia". I can't honestly rate the hotel because we did not get past the lobby. The clerk was content to turn us away, no apology, but a statement that we would be refunded. We needed a room. Received a confirmation number, but an hour before we were about to check in I received an email that our reservation had been cancelled because of overbooking. We were in town because of a conference and there were no other vacancies. We went to hotel and argued with desk clerk while on the line with their corporate office. All they told us was they had no more rooms available. We had been trying to speak to hotel mgr, but desk clerk just said she's not answering texts. About an hour later mgr shows up and says she has our room ready and walks us to our room. How did a room miraculously appear if no more rooms? Something crooked about this hotel. Can there be negative stars? I've never had a worse experience in my life. We booked a room 4 months ago to ensure we had a place to stay during a busy dance competition weekend. We called yesterday to confirm the hotel reservation with our confirmation number. When we arrived at the hotel this evening, we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. This was after waiting in line for 15 minutes because the people in front of us in line also had a problem with their reservation, and they finally accommodated them with a room, not the one they had reserved, but at least a room. We were told that they cancelled our room yesterday afternoon, but did not notify us. When we told them that we had not cancelled it, we were told that the manager had cancelled it. We told them that we had called last night to confirm, with our confirmation number, and were never told at anytime that our room had been canceled. In fact they said that we were all good. I asked the desk attendant to speak with the manager. Instead of talking to an onsite manager, She called Liz Sosa/Garcia (liz gave me one name, the attendant told me another), and I was given excuse after excuse. Saying they overbooked, didn't have our credit card on file, that they tried to call us, and even asked us if we had talked to a woman or a man to confirm. And when we said we thought it might be a woman (honestly, I wasn't paying attention after confirming our room) she proceeded to tell me that a man was working last night, and that we were wrong. There was nothing they could do. No apologies, no effort to see if there was a room available that someone had not checked in to, no offer to call another local hotel to help us, no offer to comp a room later to come back and stay another night, just "this is your problem not ours." Corporate policy. When I said I booked it in December, Liz said she took over 2 weeks ago and was not responsible for anything before she got there. Seriously. I understand it's a busy weekend. I understand that mistakes happen. I don't understand a hotel that refuses to listen to the customer. We stayed here end of June and we were unpleasantly surprised. It was under construction because it is transitioning from a Crystal Inn to a La Quinta. That meant the gym was closed (but nowhere on here or on the site said anything about it being closed). The pooled closed early. The breakfast food was poorly maintained. Cold, rubbery eggs. Dry and stale bread. Warm milk. Absolutely disgusting. Then the hammering and drilling started as early as 630-7am. And to top this all off the staff was rude and unapologetic. And to make it worse the operating manager, Jeremy, gave me his word that he would call me to work some compensation out. A week later, no call. So I call in and get put on hold for over 15 minutes, then hung up on. Then I call back and the lady just said Jeremy is not available but he would call me. It has been over a month and NOTHING. I stayed here last week and was very impressed with this hotel. This hotel is one of the best La Quinta's I have ever stayed in. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, and also had an amazing view of the nearby mountains. The front desk staff was nice and the GM Steve was very helpful. The free breakfast was great as well. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Logan area. read more

It makes me put a star on here to write a review. I would not even give them one Star. The staff is non existent if you have a problem or a question. The cleaning staff is sub par and I think my 11 year old has better work ethic then they do. If you value your belongings DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION. We left an item of value at the hotel. Yes my bad for forgetting to not check one last time if we had gotten everything. But we called 20 min after we had left and notified the front desk. Witch it would have been sooner if they actually answered their phones. Notified the front desk even gave a description of the item and exact location of the Item. Told me that he would have someone go look right then. Took my information down and a good contact number and never bothered to call me back. When called back a couple of days later they told me that it wasn't in the lost and found and that they couldn't locate the item. Both times I called they were rude and acted like I was bothering them. So I will not bother them with my business again.
