Wonderful that you are actually pet friendly and you mean it!!! Most places say "pet friendly" but don't allow you to leave your pet in the room alone when you go out, and you do!!! This is convenient for us this trip because we're literally moving across the country and decided to make a road trip of it. Our Boston terrier is a quiet well behaved ANGEL and thank you for having a lenient policy for us to enjoy our stay. We needed a clean, comfortable place that would allow us to bring our dog - a labrador - in with us without charging some additional crazy fee. La Quinta fit the bill quite nicely. There was no additional fee for the dog, but they did require you to sign an agreement to cover any damage fees and make alternative arrangements if the dog was disruptive. They were nice enough to allow us to store our bikes and SUP boards in their conference room overnight (again, no charge). It's not the Ritz, but is a great value if you just need a place to lay up for the night. read more

I am very disappointed. I have stayed in a LaQuinta three times in the last year, and every single time we have asked that the handicap lift be available and working in the pool and hot tub area. Never has it been working. We stayed in Moab this last week for three nights. We wanted to get in the pool and enjoy it on two different occasions. For the first time we call down and asked the night manager to make sure it was ready the next day. We were assured it would be. The next morning we called the morning manager to make sure that it would be ready to go, again we were assured it would be. That afternoon we went to go get in the pool. And the handicap lift was still covered, and the battery wasn't charged. We called the front desk to have maintenance come out and see if they could get it working. Waited 10 minutes with no response, called again to have maintenance come, and after 2 hours no response. During that entire time my family and friends were playing in the pool, and I was stuck on the side watching them. This is very, very disappointing. I don't know what the problem is with LaQuinta, but they need to figure out some way to address this issue. At this point, I will never stay in a LaQuinta again. I have tried 3 different times at three different locations, and same problem at all of them. I guess LaQuinta doesn't want handicap guests. read more

I stayed here before and it was good. What I got this time was a nasty/raunchy smelling room that cost $240+, when I inquired about getting a different room they said nothing was available and gave me some carpet deodorizer. I had no choice and it was too late to go anywhere else, The following morning both my wife and myself had severe headaches from the stench and chemicals they gave us. I told them the next morning that the room should not be occupied until the health department evaluates it. They didn't seem to care one bit. I was a good customer of La Quinta for years, and will probably stay at them again except for this one. I will now stay on the outskirts of Moab away from these profit hungry businesses. read more

I stayed here for a week and the sprays they use to cover the animal smells were noxious. The hall smelled every day, which caused nausea every day. The staff was great. The hotel was kept as clean as they could but they still had bugs. The pool was a greenish color so I did not use it. The air conditioner did work good though. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights to see both Arches and Canyonland NPs. Room and bathroom were clean, wifi was adequate for 4 persons, breakfast was provided as promised and staff was professional and friendly. Happy w experience and would recommend their business. I can't tell you how much we appreciate that La Quinta's are dog-friendly. We got stranded in town and had doggo with us. The room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was hot. The staff was wonderful - courteous and kind, and of course, they had dog treats. I can't tell you how amazing a hot shower feels after days in the desert. read more

Clean and friendly. Book ahead and get treated very well. The room was nice, the staff was friendly. The FREE breakfast was just as expected. Standard fare but very welcoming when trying to keep up with a fully packed itinerary. The courtesy hot drinks station was also a God send on a couple of evenings also. The heated pool and hot tub were deliciously revitalizing and necessary at the end of everyday action filled day. I must warn you though, have a reservation, even if it's one you made in the parking lot from your phone. The front desk personnel were less than welcoming to unexpected guests that checked in the evening we were in the lobby coming back from dinner out. We waited to buy some late night movie snacks from the hotel concessions and were forced to overhear the argument between new customer and clerk. They were charged more than twice the price we had paid for the same type of rooms on the same floor as ours. Yikes! Nice stay overall. Clean & well maintained. read more

We took my dad to Moab and it was an unexpected part of our road trip, so I made this reservation about 5 days before we went. It was $200 a night and I figured that is what it was for being in Moab, so once I brace myself, I won't spend the time fretting over a few extra dollars. The guy that checked us in was okay, not too much sense of humor, I could tell he rubbed my tired dad the wrong way. We got to the third floor and put the AC on, which at 3:00 am we all were standing around it wondering why it was now 75 in there and were all sweating. It was not the best sleep I have had. The beds were on the harder side but it was a clean and comfortable room for the most part. The free breakfast was okay, it was actually the smallest free breakfast selection I had seen since I started my trip, but it worked for us. At one point there were kids running down the hall screaming for their dad and he was yelling back, and I wondered how that was going to go, since we could hear the next rooms tv going. It was surprisingly quiet after that. It is in a good location to restaurants and Moab is so small I guess you could say that about any hotel there. I would consider staying again, but not too sure, with more time I would have shopped it out against other places in Moab. read more

This is the second time we've stayed here and any time we are in the area or passing through we will be staying here. The rooms are clean, they are pet friendly and it's a great location. If I had any complaint at all it would be the parking for vehicles with trailers is limited to a small gravel lot that you have to back into, which isn't terrible except I have a vehicle on a tow dolly and really don't want to unload the car, get everything lined up then load the car again just to park for the night, not a deal breaker by any means, just a little tedious. The service has always been extremely friendly and helpful! This has repeatedly been one of our best experiences for lodging! No hesitation, we will stay here again! read more

It's a shame. I stay at a lot of La Quintas. This is a very nice facility. Unfortunately, it is pet friendly. As in dogs. Lots of dogs. We got a room on the third (top) floor. I specifically asked because my wife is allergic to animal dander. I was told that animals were given rooms on the first floor. Sometimes the second. Never the third. Wrong! The very next couple with their two little yappers - third floor. Two other dogs were barking outside my door at 5:30 in the morning. Pet friendly? We stayed here for 3 reasons: 1. Free breakfast - it was a pretty solid one at that. One of the ladies who runs the kitchen has her homemade salsa out to eat with your eggs each morning. I thought it was delicious and she sells it in the hotel store if you want to take some to go. 2. Pet friendly - we brought our dog on our trip to Arches and Canyonlands and they are always accomodating and cheap. 3. Price - they are always so reasonable and seriously, this place was clean, quiet and newer. I'm so glad we didn't stay elsewhere for more $$$. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again if we go back to Moab. read more

Clean, good location, functional rooms. I've stayed in no less than a dozen Moab hotels over the last decade - this one is one of the better ones. The breakfast? Nourishing - I saw some negative reviews - I think most of you know you weren't going to get salmon and eggs Benedict. It's on par with a Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Etc. Waffles, yogurt, shelf stable bagels, etc. If you want true health food, you should probably bring your own stuff. read more

Stayed here for one night. Was alright, nothing special. Nice clean room. They are pet friendly, but this didn't seem to be an issue as we couldn't hear dogs barking through the walls. They also try to stick pets on the first floor. Breakfast was not as awesome as the guy at the desk made it out to be ("It's an awesome spread!"). The eggs tasted way off. One bite and done. Both of us had upset stomachs after breakfast, not sure what it was. It's the normal "hot breakfast" with eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and some danishes. The room's pricey for what it is, but it's a busy time for the area so there's no getting around that. They did help us with faxing several items for work, even holding a fax for us until we arrived in the evening. The next morning my wife caught their staff reading over her fax. The staff member mumbled something about finding out who's it was. My wife's name was at the top of the page, so this doesn't seem likely. read more

Decided to take a random 'pack up the car and get out of this inversion' trip yesterday. Ended up heading down to Moab, which is one of my favorite places to visit. I called ahead to make sure they had rooms, and that they were pet friendly. Not only did they have a couple rooms available, they don't have ANY additional pet fees. How awesome is that? Right outside the building they have a little area for dogs to run around and go to the bathroom. The person who checked me in was really nice and fast getting me into my room. I was really surprised with how nice the rooms were. It had a king sized bed and a full couch in the room. It looked like the carpet was new and the bathroom was updated and quite nice. I also woke up to a pretty awesome free breakfast. Waffles, cereal, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and more. Certainly can't complain! read more

Odd for me to take the time to rate a La Quinta, but it was good enough that I feel I owe it to fellow travelers! Stayed here in the winter, I was surprised at how great the rates were for Moab but I suppose that's because of the off season. Comfortable beds and pillows, nice clean design and spacious room, continental breakfast was fine/average, workout room was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location is great for exploring Moab or just traveling through town. If you're finding a great rate on this place and are wondering if it's a comfortable, cheerful place to Rest your head, I say grab it. read more

I cannot understand all these positive reviews. I called to confirm my reservation (I've had enough snafus at hotel check-in to do this routinely) they couldn't find me, even though I provided them with the confirmation number they gave me. We spent five to ten minutes on the phone and they finally found me. My name was spelled with about four extra vowels. So she supposedly corrected the issue. HOWEVER, upon check-in we spent TWENTY minutes as they tried to again find my reservation. This time my name was spelled with a few extra consonants. Again, my confirmation number was useless (what exactly is the confirmation number for?) ALSO, the room was drab, dark and nothing special. ALSO, the towels could not have been thinner or frayed (!) gross. ALSO, the sheets were torn (how does a housekeeper not notice a ten inch hole in the sheets?) ALSO, the carpet was sticky (!) gross. ALSO, the room STANK of mold. ALSO, more minor issue - the beverage vending machine was empty, which would not normally be a problem, but this is the desert and water is pretty important. (The tap water tasted like rust). I suppose it's possible that we just happened to have super bad luck with this hotel, but these seem to be pretty systemic issues. read more

Spanish for "Over-priced and Under-cleaned." I travel a lot for work, and have spent much of my adult life in hotels. (No, I'm not an "escort." Sorry boys.) On a Thursday night, I spent $130 for a room that was one small step up from a Motel 6...barely. These carpets are filthy. The sofa is so stained and dirty that I put a sheet over it before sitting down, and I am not easily grossed-out. Towels are scratchy. Beds are passable, but certainly not comfy. The one elevator fits three people - and the housekeeping staff uses it as well - so good luck if you're in a hurry. Wireless internet and breakfast are "included"- but the internet is so slow and spotty that I couldn't upload a photo to a file-sharing site in the evening. If you need wireless for business, forget it. The breakfast is not worth getting up for. Seriously. I mean, it's food - but... One star for nice folks at the front desk; a small (and clean enough) pool, and a few pieces of exercise gear. Last week, I stayed at a Hyatt Regency in Houston, TX - which by comparison was glamorous - at HALF of the price. Very disappointed here. read more

But 250 for something I can get for 105 anywhere else? Eh? Tourist trap. But if you want to go see Arches National Park, it's the price you pay. It was very nice as were the front desk clerks. Moab has incredibly overpriced accommodations. This was the second most expensive hotel that we stayed in during our two-week road trip through the southwest, only eclipsed by our lodging in Grand Canyon NP. We paid $139/night + tax. With that said, La Quinta made up for it. The room was newly refurbished and tastefully decorated. All of the staff were as polite and friendly as could be. The breakfast was very nice, although the scrambled eggs tasted a little...off? They even have a small pool, which comes in handy for cooling off amidst the desert heat. Three knocks against the hotel: 1) Separate sink and bathroom. Typically, this isn't a problem at all. In fact, I love separate sinks and bathrooms. Makes it easier to get ready when someone's hogging the bathroom. But here, the sink was literally in the bedroom. So if you want to get ready in the morning without waking your travel partner up, it's impossible. I thought it was a weird layout choice. 2) If you're doing laundry, bring quarters and your own detergent. They don't have a change machine or detergent in the laundry facilities. 3) It's a dog-friendly hotel. Okay, I love dogs. Dog-owners? Tend to be very hit-or-miss. I often felt like I was staying in a kennel. Walk down the halls and you hear a lot of barking. Even that I could handle. What I can't handle is having the people in the room across the hall leave for breakfast and listening to their poor dog bark and moan for an hour straight. Every morning. At 7 am. I said something to the front desk and, to their credit, they handled the situation well. (Wish I could say the same for that particular dog owner.) But, if you're allergic to animals or don't like them or don't want to be woken up by them at 7 am, this is not the hotel for you. read more

I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and are kept clean, and the staff is friendly, and the motel is dog- friendly. On the downside the rooms are poorly illuminated- you have to sit right next to a lamp to be able to read anything, and pool water looked greenish to me. Location is good - there is fairly good BBQ restaurant next door, and there is a good supermarket across the street. We stayed on the first floor and could hear everything happening in the room above us. There a microwave, but newer motels often have a kitchenette. Simply put, this motel could use some renovations. read more

Everything was pretty great, accept one thing... I'll follow that up at the end. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. I like the always-available coffee in the lobby. The room was nice. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were great. The breakfast was tasty. Lots to choose from. I always like the make-your-own waffles :). The only negative I had was that we purchased through PRICELINE, but the check-in clerk pre-authorized my credit card for the entire stay, then the check out clerk charged my card for the room that I had already pre-paid for. The check out clerk wasn't very knowledgeable and should have probably been trained better/or had someone with her at all times during training. It took a long time for them to fix the problem and I'm still not sure it is fixed. I'm going to double check my credit card statement. I fear that if it is still wrong, I will have a battle because of the small staff with limited experience with billing errors. I would still come back :) read more

Avoid this hotel. Our room and entire floor smelled like marijuana, to the point where I was gagging in our hotel room. Breakfast was weak, the toaster barely toasted anything and the sausage and eggs were both mush. Thomas at the front desk seems nice, but then gave us heck when we were checking out about not paying. Even though our credit card app showed all the purchases had gone thru. The problem magically fixed itself once I was on the phone with the credit card company. They wasted a ton of our time and was a pathetic excuses for hospitality. We will never be staying here again. read more

I had the worst check-in experience with the hotel in a recent trip to Utah National Parks with my extended family. We booked two rooms through hotels.com (an Expedia company) but the front desk could only find one in the beginning due to their oversight. It took them an hour to find the other room. During the time, the front desk was very unprofessional, rude and inappropriate. Not only I had to call hotels.com myself to figure out a solution, I was also humiliated when trying to seek help from La Quinta staff. The front desk discriminated against us as Expedia clients and refused to offer any help, saying we were on our own since we booked through Expedia.com. The staff further commented in a disrespectful tone that Expedia in fact begged to add La Quinta as one of the hotels on their website, but not the other way around. When I disagreed and they started to attack me personally and verbally, saying I did not show respect to them and that I was mean. I was humiliated in front of my family and visitors in the lobby when I was only asking for help. They wasted my entire family's over an hour's time. Worst of all, there is no apology. Will never return to any La Quinta. read more

I normally have very low expectations for La Quinta hotels, but this one in Moab exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, renovated rooms that were pretty spacious and a great location right at the start of Moab's downtown. It was the perfect stop for our drive from Phoenix to Vail and they accept dogs with no fee - bonus! read more

Maybe we had the worst room (or second worst because our first stank like urine) but there's no way this place should be rated 4 stars on Yelp. Dark, gloomy, dirty, stinky and terribly outdated. This is the worst La Quinta (with the exception of Reno) and should be condemned. Just stay away. read more

Imagine our distress stranded at our campsite with all of the dogs and rain for two hours plus, when we drove 6+ hours to get to Moab. What do we do? Where do we turn? To the wonderful and affordable rooms at la Quinta. Mariah helped us out hardcore and we got a wonderful room and service- they accommodated my Request for a room close to the outer exit due to my "special needs" dog who is not ok with strangers and an extra blanket so he could have a comfy spot on the floor. We didn't expect to be staying in a hotel this weekend but I am so happy we were able to get a room with the bad weather. Thanks la Quinta! read more
