They have a Yelp But this place needs to be a nope. Even though I didn't have to pay for the room my company did. I would never want to stay here if I paid because it has black mold in the bathroom around the bathtub it has paint falling off the wall and the bed is a memory foam mattress but when you're sleeping on one side or the other you're sleeping in the same cradle that someone else left. Maybe the other floors are different but this is on the third floor in room 319. About the only things that it has going for it is a good breakfast and it smells nice. Be careful when you're walking out on the grass because of the doggy land mines. read more

There was bugs in our room and when we asked for a possible room change they looked at us and said "that's not possible we get bug repellent sprayed once a month" let the picture speak for itself.. this was the only one out of 5-6 that we were able to kill, and when the picture was showed we were told we would need to wait a few days for a "thorough investigation to be completed" so we just left, and will not be returning, don't recommend. read more

About the only positive thing with our stay was that our room was fairly clean. There were many issues with property damage - broken windows, holes in screens, and windows not sealed, so bugs could get in - the air conditioner unit was loose and rattled whenever it ran. There are almost no rooms with queen beds, forcing us to try to share a double - not comfortable at all. Then, at breakfast, most of the food was overcooked, even burnt, and there was not enough food. The breakfast room was very crowded, and almost everyone was making waffles because that was the only edible option available. The staff was not even visible to ask about refilling food. We stay exclusively at La Quinta. This one night stay here was disturbing and creepy. We have law enforcement experiance. There was suspected Gang activity..... there was a woman that would come to the front deck and ask the G.M. what room her "boyfriend" had checked in..... Men were coming in asking for The VIP Room..... The room across from us had people doing a Weird knock and the door would open. The hotel held $146 from our account and billed us $141 for the stay.... When we called about the held funds...the young woman kept hanging up on us. The hotel is clearly still under construction..... Lots of construction matterial around the grounds. A minor irritation.....they dont air condition the halls like every legit hotel which in summertime Kansas is nessassary when carry luggage in and out kinda miserable. Do not sleep in the room#344 unless bed mattress replacement. The bed was not memory foam bed. It was egg crate foam that caused my back hurt as well as my fiancée. She noticed the bed cover was torn and she saw it and called me to look at the mattress. CANT BELIEVE IT! The egg crate forms were old and yellow they had some strains. The form was manufactured in 2007. WHY???? The hotel was built in 2008. 16 years old!!! I showed the picture to the front desk guy. I asked him if we can move to another room. He said no rooms, they were full. He told me he would ask someone to replace it. So we left the hotel for the day. When we came back and asking another front desk guy to see if the mattress was replaced. He said no just flipped over. That is NOT ACCEPTABLE! I asked why! He said we didn't have extra! Really, no extra!!!! I was boiled. I told him I wanted to check out. Not worth to risk my back. I have a cortisol shot in my back for the last couple of back. The form will not support our weight. This hotel was a last minute booking for a weekend trip to Kansas City. I booked this hotel and location since it was the cheap and closer to Kansas City than other hotel options this weekend, other hotels were much expensive this weekend. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for a solo guest or couple getting away last minute. The hotel was clean but extremely outdated. BE ADVISED: The hotel clerk double billed my payment, what was supposed to be a deposit charged me twice, since I paid the hotel prior to arrival. Room was not very clean. Window was cracked and fixed with tape. Hotel staff was extremely rude. My 2 year old daughter spilled food on the bedding so we were charger $100 and when I called to talk to them about the charge the front desk worker told me that I was lucky she didn't charge me $350 and then hung up on me and won't answer my calls or the calls from the Wyndham customer care! Makes me wonder if they just reuse the comforters without washing! $100 for used bedding to be washed is ridiculous. We stay in hotels all the time during the summer. Booked this hotel by phone for two rooms in the early evening for check in a few hours later. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We picked up the counter phone and it rang and rang until we finally got the attention of the man in the laundry area. He came out and said someone would be us shortly. He stood behind the counter talking on his cell phone until the front desk clerk came up. Check-in was quick and efficient. The elevator is close to the lobby. The elevator smelled strongly of onions and the hallway smelled strongly of Indian food. The smell was so strong it could be smelled in one of our rooms for most of the night. As of the morning after, there is still a faint smell of food. The rooms were clean and tidy. The bed was a bit hard for one of us, but comfortable enough. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and biscuits with gravy. The food area was clean and remained filled. Food was good for continental breakfast. Ice maker on one of the floors was broken. Ice bucket looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. Fitness room and pool available. read more

Do not stay at this hotel, two years ago i stayed and the elevator was broken. I had just had knee surgery a couple of months earlier and had to carry my suitcase up a long flight of stairs. Checked out the next morning with a very rude clerk. This pace is right close to a children's hospital. I decided to try it once again, that stay was better but still things were broken like the swimming pool. La Quinta in Sea-Tac was horrible with one of two elevators broken, and this was a large property. I came down one morning to find 50 suitcases in front of the elevator, so you had to take a sharp left or fall over them. The carpets were filthy, one waffle iron broken the swimming pool broken. The hotel in Olathe Kansas i will never stay in again. Somehow during booking a room i guess i looked at something on the site and it changed the date of my stay and i did not catch it. Today i look at my email and find an email about my stay in Olathe. They charged me $122.22 for a no show, i called and got some guy whos accent was so thick i could not understand him, the manager came on and told me in so many words "Your Screwed". I travel for a living & called this hotel 2 hours after leaving & told them I left my ring on the bathroom sink. They said they'd call me back if they found it. I called an hour later asking again, this time it was a different person. This lady took my number and said she would call me if they found it. She calls me 30 minutes later to tell me that my dogs chewed the carpet. I asked her how much the fee would be, she said she didn't have that information. So I asked for an update on my ring, and she said she had it. I asked if my supervisor could get it from the front desk and she said YES. I sent my supervisor to the desk and she told me they said there's no ring. So when I called and asked what the deal was, the lady said I NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT A RING?! I instantly tell her someone has stolen it because I know I left it. So she goes up to the room while I'm on the phone and "looks around" then says "it could've fallen into the toilet or something idk." When I asked for her name, she wouldn't tell me. So I called corporate and filed a complaint. I also called the cops and filed a report. The police went and investigated and of course found nothing. This incident occurred 10/1/2021. I haven't heard ANYTHING back from anyone. Until today. I got this email in response to a REVIEW I left for them. They would've never reached out to me if I hadn't left a review. read more

If I could put it at a 0 I would. *BED BUGS BE AWARE* *ROOM 106* Got to Olathe La Quinta around 11 p.m. and we were out of our hotel room by 12:30 a.m. As soon as we got into bed and turned the lights off my sister notices a tiny shadow behind her phone. Of course, every person's worst nightmare, a bed bug. Confirming the bed bug by a picture on Google, we trapped the thing in a water bottle and took pictures for proof. Decided to rip off the sheets and the mattress covers were full of stains from who knows what. We got out of there in about 2 minutes, woke up our 8 and 2 year old. We told the front desk guy and he said nothing could be done and he was "sorry" then told us we would be refunded in the morning. We demanded his Manager come and give us a refund, since we reserved the room for 2 nights. Manager wouldn't come, now it's 1 a.m., they didn't have any other rooms so all they could do is change the sheets and give us a new pillow... WHAT!? So we decided to leave, we found another hotel, the manager was supposed to call us the next day and never did. We called back and they were not going to offer us the refund. Now we are out $280 because the manager refused to issue a refund for his bed bugged filled hotel. Our entire traveling soccer team stayed in multiple hotel rooms and experienced the same thing, some parents and players even had bites from the bed bugs. We've stayed here twice for 2-3 days each stay. Great service and very affordable. They also were able to get us in 2 hours earlier which was really nice. They have a broad variety of breakfast items, but not very good. The muffins, yogurt and waffles were the tastiest. Also the up pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. You can feel every spring in the mattress. They also were out of pillows which was a shame. We had to borrow an extra pillow from my moms house for my sister on the pullout bed. read more

I was at the La Quinta for Christmas with my family. To start, the customer service was terrible. When we called the front desk to get supplies, they were rude and pushy. The hot tub was "fixed" and the pool was heated, the reservation said. It was not, the whole pool area was cold. When we went to the pool, there was an older gentleman there. When my little brother, who doesn't know how to swim, put his feet in, this DRUNK man was reaching for him, claiming to help him learn to swim. This whole experience was terrible. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. But we were travelling and ready to stop for the night. We mostly stay at LaQuinta and this one looked nice from the outside. The room was clean and comfortable and we had no problems at all. The breakfast was delicious. The young man tending to the breakfast was very friendly and struck up a conversation with me. He was very attentive to what was needed on the breakfast bar. So many times, you never see the person who is in charge of that. The only negative was when we checked out. We checked out but when we went outside we found out the parking lot was frozen over and we could not get to the truck. I felt that the girl at the desk should have mentioned that as she was aware of it. We asked if we could get back in our room since we still had time before check out but she said she had already taken us out of the system. She did say we could stay in the lobby as long as we needed. It was a comfortable lobby and we were able to get to the truck after about an hour. read more

The people at the front desk were always friendly and the hot breakfast was good, but those are pretty much the only good things I can say about this place. The room was clean when we arrived but you could tell they do not take regular maintenance very seriously as there were holes and cracks in the walls and minor damage to doors that had not been repaired. The room had a faint pet odor because this hotel allows pets. I had requested a pet free room because we have allergies. Apparently that did not happen. The air-conditioner worked well but for some reason in the morning, it was blowing out musty smelling air which it had not done the previous day. Our mini refrigerator did not work when we arrived and they seemed confused about how to remedy the situation. After about three hours they swapped it out with one from another room. Our room keys had to be replaced three times because they quit working. That was very frustrating. There was plenty of hot water and the shower pressure was good. It was nice to have HBO available and the Wi-Fi worked well. But I will not stay here again. read more

We have used this LaQuinta off and on for six years for travel from Minneapolis to Albuquerque. There are good things and really bad things. Location is great. Renovations are nice but taking way too long (like several years), so we get fumes from the paint and glue. The parking lot is a mess and has been that way for years. The lighting is horrible in the rooms - using those little curly bulbs. And this year there are no nightstands in our room. The cost is reasonable except for double the usual pet charge ($20 vs $10). The rooms are clean,the bathroom in the remodeled room is very nice. But considering that they are three stories, there are no adequate carts for moving things in/out and only one smallish elevator. Finding your room is a challenge because there are no signs (presumably another renovation punch list item. We are looking for a better La Quinta in the area because we are done with this one. read more

Very good two nights! Bed was comfy, room was clean. Food was typical for this chain. Not gourmet, but they have waffles and boiled eggs, as well as bagels. Favorite part: they allow dogs (free) and there is grass to park on! I've been to some where there is no grass! 2nd day: no waffles -one of machines was broken. My husband had a cold bath. Normally I wouldn't take the time to review a chain hotel that you can go to anywhere, and the lack of reviews here suggest that other people have thought the same way as me. We have all stayed at a La Quinta around the country and know about the free internet, breakfast, clean rooms etc. I take the time to write this review for one reason and one reason only: their beds. I can safely say that the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, hotel, house or otherwise, was at the La Quinta in Olathe, KS. I am not sure what their buggeting for beds was but they definitely put some money into those things and it really is great to sleep that well at a hotel. We were there for a wedding party and everyone who stayed at the La Quinta raved about the beds every morning. So if you happen to be in Olathe, KS and are looking for a good hotel for the night at a reasonable price, look no further than La Quinta and I bet that you will have the best night of sleep of your life. read more

The doors kept slamming all night long and we had an infant who we could never get to sleep because of all the loud kids. Hotel was pretty good. Comfortable memory foam style beds offered a good nights rest. Checking in around 8pm on a Monday night, I arrived to an empty front desk where I had to wait for about five minutes before the clerk showed up to check me in. Unfortunatley the property sits in the parking lot with the Great Plains mall which is obviously struggling and looks to be mostly empty. A good place to stay if you are just looking for a good nights rest and don't need any onsight entertainment options (although their is a Chilis that is a two minute walk). read more

I stay at a lot of La Quinta hotels....this was not one of the better ones. The pool water was cloudy, and the hot tub was not hot, but very cold. The walls are very thin, and I could hear the old people in the next room talking. It seemed like everyone was slamming doors all night and morning...so much for sleeping in. The housekeeping staff was rough looking and acting.....like they had just come off a three day bender. The front desk people were good, and very helpful. This hotel sucks. I usually stay at holiday inn express but my work made me stay here. First night no cold water or pressure turn to cold and get nothing. I told front desk next morning that all i have is scaulding hot pressure. Come back at night same freakin thing i call front desk right away he says he will let management know. Plus there was dried up soda in bathroom sink and no shampoo. Next day i can get it a litttle not so hot to take a shower. This is rediculous and the bath tub wasnt even clean.
