Cons *If staying more than three days room service wasn't provided until the fourth. *If you need towels, sheets, pillows, you have to go to front desk to pick it up. *Walls were pretty thin I heard the neighbors, had to turn on the TV and put it a bit loud. *It took awhile for the AC to actually cool the room. *Beds were full-size. *TV was small! We were told that only rooms with king size beds had a bigger TV. *Furniture drawers were really small, not a lot of clothing fit. * Phone only worked when on speaker. I stayed 4 days 3 nights for a family vacation. Front desk was extremely nice. Overall our stay was good with minor flaws. But those waffles make up for it. So I would stay here again. read more

I was grateful to get a room because of flight delay coming into Phoenix and it was way too late to drive down to Tucson. The most unfriendly attendant at the desk " helped"me. I tried to give her a lot of grace because it was seemingly busy and hectic. The entire floor smelled like a frat house of both kinds of popular smoking things. I opened the door to the room and was overwhelmed with the smell of smoke again and noticed that my fire detector was covered in a grocery bag like we did on Grateful Dead tour in the 80s. The elevator was filthy, the carpet looks like I was in a pet motel. I tried to call the front desk and the phone reminded me of the retro phone on the walls in an early childhood classroom for the kids to play. Nothing on that phone worked it was for decoration only. When I tried to call the number on the phone to reach the front desk (from my cell phone) I'm pretty sure I reached an overseas call center. She could not reach the front desk here either. Again, I have a lot of compassion for the woman working ist the front desk. (I no I don't sound like it.) I think she was alone and it was busy busy due to a lot of flights being delayed out of Phoenix and this was kind of close to the airport. I pray I'm not bringing bedbugs into my life. HOUSEKEEPING NONE at this place. The hotel needs a better housekeeping manager. The bathroom is pitiful. I don't know how they still rent this out. The tub was DIRTY! they painted the tub and now it is peeling away. As soon as we entered I noticed the floor had white peels and that's when I saw the tub. Even with the tub peeling, I wouldn't have minded if I saw it clean, which clearly wasn't. The toilet bowl has limestone. Bad housekeeping. read more

Checked in here late on a Thursday evening. The front desk was able to match a price I had seen online and the staff member was pleasant. The room seemed clean but upon further inspection the bed smelled like someone else had slept in it (like cologne) and the shower floor was super crusty. I did not end up showering as I did not have flip flops. In hindsight I should have just put a towel down. Breakfast was sub-par especially as the location in Kingman had everything you could want for breakfast. Overall not worth the money I paid - I will look for another location next time. read more

We checked into a king suite. The room was clean all the curtains were closed which is no big deal the bedroom is separate from the living room. We spent the afternoon and evening in the living room and out to eat and caught a movie. So we didn't spend time in the bedroom until later in the night. About midnight I was awakened by loud exhaust that sounded like it was in the room. I pulled back the curtains to reveal a window that was not only unsecured but broken and had been for quite some time. The bathroom grout was missing on some of the tile. The caulking all around the shower was gross or missing. The drain and floor of the shower was very worn and rust around the drain and different colors of paint. Again it was clean but when you rent a suite at a nice motel you expect a little better. Furniture, shelves, and flooring showing wear. Let the front desk know upon checkout that I didn't sleep well and bugs/dirt/ and weather can get through the bedroom window because it don't close all the way. The gentleman said oh ok we will take a look. I knew if not being able to secure a window wasn't a big concern nothing else I had to say would trigger hNo apologies no offer of making up for it. First I will not be returning to this location. From the moment to the moment we checked out. First our room was given away so we had to what ever was available. And they were rude about it . Then we showered that night and the drains were not draining . I spoke the the night clerk she said to let them know in them know in the morning. I did so and the sent maintenance and the just put draino so when returned that night the drains still don't drain.. all that night it smelled like sewer and chemicals . I woke up with a head ace . When I checked out I told them and they said they couldn't do about it so I will never return there again!!! read more

The rooms are well furnished. The room has a RECLINER- which my husband loves. He has back issues and the recliner really helps. But the property has gone downhill since we were here last year. This is our 7th La Quinta Inn on this trip. We left California and traveled interstate 40 to Georgia and this is our last night before arriving back at home to Ca. The way home we used interstate 10 most of the way. We've stayed at La Quinta Inns all along the way there and back. Each La Quinta Inn has been nice-some nicer than others but this one is the best of the 7! The room is spacious and very clean. There are indoor hallways and outside our window is the pool and a grassy fenced area where kids and pets can wander freely. I love the recliner and the table with 2 chairs so we could eat together after getting dinner to go at the nearby Cracker Barrel. A friend recommended La Quinta to us because they are mostly pet friendly and we brought or Pomeranian, Howard, with us. The breakfasts have been really great. I appreciate being able to grab our breakfast and eat in the room so as not to leave Howard unattended. Each morning, breakfast has included a waffle (and the ones in TX were shaped like TX! I'm certain that made them taste better). So, yes, I do recommend La Quinta whether traveling with you pet or not. And if your in the Phoenix/Chandler area this is the one I'd choose again and again. We recently spent three nights here and were very pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless as was the rest of the property which we saw. The breakfast was typical of an included breakfast but it was nicely done. Most of all, the staff was friendly and helpful. We have stayed in a variety of properties over the years and have had far worse experiences at places twice the price. Was it a perfect hotel? No, but it was very very good. La Quinta across the country tends to vary from location to location. Back in the day when I traveled a ton for work they were some of my favorite stays, but it seems like they've become a little more loosey goosey on uniform standards from property to property. However, one of the very best features about La Quinta is their pet policy. They've tapped into something genius. More and more people are traveling with their pets, and LQ lets you bring yours with no additional fee. Of the few hotels that do let you bring a pet, you won't find a better pet policy. Some properties charge an additional fee per stay, some per night, and some per pet/per night--none of that nonsense here. Kudos to La Quinta for this stance. Not being too familiar with Phoenix, I booked this spot due to its proximity to South Mountain. We wanted to do some hiking in the warm weather, and while South Mountain is decidedly an urban hikery, it was convenient for our plans. The accommodations were nice enough. Everything was clean, and I loved that they have wood (but not really wood, but I mean, not carpet) floors and everything was clean and tidy. The layout was a bit strange--the bathroom door sat on a diagonal, and while the bathroom was pretty large, the doors were just two closet doors with a crack in the middle that left plenty of space. If you're staying here with someone they've bunked you with for work, that could get awkward as it doesn't reeeeallly shut airtight, and doesn't lock. Other than that, the room was adequate. It had its quirks, but it wasn't falling apart. I will say, however, with great amusement, that the bathtub is very narrow and it curves aggressively where the walls meet the floor. And it's slippery. I fell in the shower SO HARD and I'm sure anyone within three rooms heard me. I hope they enjoyed the show. There's grass out front for the pooch, but I found the mother lode of grass just to the south/southwest, just past the gas station at the business office complex. We had lots of great walks there. The hotel shares a parking lot with the Cracker Barrel and is just off of the freeway. You do hear the freeway all day and night, but it turns into white noise. I think if you faced the other direction it would lessen, but my window faced the freeway and it was ever present. The lobby is done up nice, but these days it doesn't matter; COVID has most things shut down. The front desk was all business when it came to check-in and check-out; they hustle people through pretty quickly. A good stay for a couple of nights, especially if you have a pup. read more

I arrived early and asked if they had anything that I could check in early, they said "no, check back in an hour and a half". The lot was at about 10% capacity. This tells me people had checked out already. I came back at 3 pm check in time, still nothing with an empty lot, there was not a room in the entirety of the hotel available. It gets worse. Much worse! The bathtub in the room is moldy with peeling paint on the tub. Absolutely disgusting!! See pictures. The chair looks like an alley find. It is fraying apart and stained. Looks like an alley find. I won't even set my bag down in this place. It is just gross!! It has not been cleaned in quite a while. I wish I could upload the video. There was a 3/4 done toilet paper roll for my use left. Is it too much to put a fresh toilet paper roll in a room during a pandemic? It is for this place. Health issue much?!? I'm not even sure it's legal to rent a room in this condition, but the La Quinta by Wyndham is just fine with this, apparently. Do yourself a favor, just stay ANYWHERE else. read more

This place is Horrible and not worth what staying at if it was free. It's dirty and extremely old. The best thing is Cracker Barrel. All kinds of people walk through the parking lot all night. The mattresses are filthy and look like the came out of a dumpster, very disgustingly stained on top and the sides. The chairs in the room came out of the same dumpster. The mattresses have a weird smell. The bathroom was very dirty with a weird white substance all over the counter and cubbies where the towels are. The towels have stains. The air/heat is dusty. The lampshades and walls had stains that were old and never cleaned , so just accumulated Yuck! You can hear everything that goes on in the hallways. This place has a 8.4 rating on Expedia, this is defiantly lie. I bought my own comforter to put over the bed. The bedrooms frames sound as if they will beak and make enough noise with every move on the bed you make. The tub was filthy and the hand rail was broken in the shower. The first time we stayed here it was great. Steadily not quite as nice. Trash can out front of lobby overflowing for over a day. Pet relief station out back to deposit pet waste is missing, station of bags are still there. Found pet food kibbles on room floor. We appreciate the room layout. It is roomy, recliners. Microwave and frig area are nice. Bathroom is roomy. Tub needs rehabbed and is a little slippery in room 221. They must have a big water bill, our tub had a steady stream of water dripping ands we couldn't stop. It's also peeling and black marks. We are facing I 10 and it sounds like our window is open. Breakfast is good starts at 7a. Coffee is a big thing for us. They used to have coffee cups with lids that you could drink out of like all of the La Quinta's, they now have small Styrofoam cups with lids and you can't drink out of the lid. The internet drops constantly. This is new from years past. Staff are friendly. We are Platinum members. read more

I had recently stayed at La Quinta Sky Harbor Airport and had such a horrible experience with customer service relating to a needed mobility accessible room reserved well ahead of time with a credit card and confirmation email that wasn't available when I checked in, and the situation was handled so poory by the hotel. A hotel that was also old, rundown and in major need of renovations, that it put me off ever wanting to stay at a Wyndham hotel again. I had reward points I wanted to use before I gave up on this hotel chain for good, so reserved another mobility accessible room ahead of time and crossed my fingers it wasn't a dump like the other one. To say I was impressed by this La Quinta is an understatement. Several hours before I checked in I received a call directly from the hotel to confirm my need for a mobility accessible room, and then when I finally checked in it was such an incredibly pleasant experience that I was immediately impressed. Sandra checked us in and was so personable and friendly compared to my previous experience at the other hotel. The hotel room was also up to par for what all La Quinta hotels should be like. The rooms were clean and modern. The only drawback to the mobility accessible bathroom, which I find is common in most, was the lack of counter space and a curtain for the shower. Why many hotels with roll in showers don't have shower curtains is a mystery to me. So if you are looking for an affordable, clean, professionally run, modern and friendly hotel to stay in, give this La Quinta a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

This wasn't a bad stay, it got the job done. We kind of slept, there was a lot of kids running around on the top floor and one screaming bloody murder. But other than that, the room we got was very spacious. We had a fridge and microwave in the room so that always comes in handy. Room was very spacious, enough room for kids to run around lol. Be forewarned though, these bathroom doors don't lock. They're just like closet doors. Conveniently right off the freeway, we didn't have a problem with that noise. There's also a gas station near by and a Crackle Barrel just in case you don't want to partake in their sack breakfast to go's. We had other ideas for breakfast so we were good. Overall, not a bad stay, TV and Wifi worked. Plus they do allow pets. read more

This location is our "home" place when we are traveling to Phoenix/Chandler/Mesa/Tempe AZ. It's convenient to all we need. There's shopping nearby and the I60 is right outside. It's adjacent to the Cracker Barrel on 50th Street. Front desk staff-day shift and evening shift- have been friendly, accommodating and efficient. They allow pets. The noises (from barking dogs and crying kids, nor the highway) haven't disrupted our sleep. The bed and recliner are comfortable. Love the en-suite mini fridge and microwave and coffeemaker. The bathroom's full length closet/saloon doors could be improved upon due to they don't lock and are not the most private. For a couple it is fine, BUT, If your sharing a room---not so good. Laundry room met our needs well. Breakfast is a small brown bag -grab and go-with 4 oz juice (apple or orange), banana or cinnamon muffin, and snack bar of oats and honey or mixed nuts/fruit. There are apples &/or oranges. 24/7 or round the clock coffee and creamer/sugars. The pool and hot tub are outside. Too hot for hot tub but the pool was great! Indoor exercise room/equipment. NO STARS. Worst experience I've ever had at a La Quinta hotel. And I've stayed at many! I had no choice but to book a room last minute which I did through priceline. When I got to this location, the employee "Jen" IMMEDIATELY started yelling at me telling me there's no rooms available & that I need to get out the hotel & she was going to call the cops. Not once did she go to the computer to check for my reservation just immediately started being aggressive & when she called the cops she was describing me. She told them I was wearing red when I was wearing neon green...? She literally didn't make sense when talking. I remained calm in the situation while she was being the crazy one! The fact that they have someone like this working is scary. I've called countless times to speak to TONY the "manager" (Is he really a manager if he's never at work?) about this & he has not reached out once even after other people have left him messages about me. I'm so over dealing with this corrupt place at this point. DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm literally traumatized after this. Also got yelled at by Misty his "supervisor". SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I Stayed for five night. I can tell there were minor details to fix like the bath tub. It was clean but old, the same old gabinetes. The very good thing the room was very clean and did not smell anything. That is a "A" Plus!. The AC unit worked perfect. In breakfast it is between continental and hot breakfast. Great location since we are on our way to Tucson. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby so you can stock up on whatever you need. The hotel is nicely renovated. Checkin went smoothly, and other than other guests, we did not have any issues with our room key cards. They worked on our room door as well as the outside door. The room itself has a nice and fresh look with fun colors, modern furniture, a fridge, microwave and TV. The bed was comfy and I woke up not having back pain, which is rare for me with hotel beds. The bathroom was clean, although unfortunately I did find long black hairs in the towels. I'm blonde so those definitely weren't mine. A little breakfast was included in the early morning. They also have a pool and a gym downstairs. All in all a good place to stay! read more

So impressed!! Have traveled often often from LA to El Paso and usually stay at Red Roof Plus in Phoenix or Motel 6 because have two large dogs. Had horrible recent experiences at Red Roof Plus in Phoenix (West, off of 10frwy) and decided to stay outside of Phoenix and give this a try. The front desk clerk (young guy, Sat night, maybe Ryan?) wasn't wearing a mask, but behind a very large glass pane. He was friendly and welcoming. The room was SUPER clean, spacious, and looks newly renovated. Unlike other places with piss smelling, smoke ridden stairwells, this place was a palace. I just wish that other guests WOULD CLEAN UP THEIR DOG POOP on the premises/parking lot area. I feel they ruin it for future guests with dogs to stay and I am tried of stepping in the poop when taking my dog out. From the looks of it, it is mainly small dog owners that feel that their dog barely poops or does no wrong. These people ruin traveling with your dog for others, more responsible dog owners! I used my Wyndham points to stay here for a business trip. I booked an non smoking executive room. Upon arrival all I could smell was weed outside- also every time I left and came back. The hotel seemed like it was probably really nice at one time, but seemed a bit grungy. My room had a dirty towel on the table and crumbs on the floor. The shower was awful and extremely slippery. I was traveling alone so the size of room was fine, but too small for more than two people. Hallways were noisy and ice machine was broken on my floor. Breakfast was only from 7-9 and had eggs, waffle maker and sausages, along with a few cereals and yogurt. The front desk people I interacted with were friendly. Not sure I would stay here again but was decent for a "free stay". read more

I really like Laquinta properties but this one was not quality at all. The hot tub was green and out of order, the pool was full of algae and rocks. The pool was the only thing to do so we tried to ignore the algae growing on the wall as but it creates a slick layer that caused us to not be able to even stand in the pool. Breakfast And coffee were not available due to covid. Unfortunately everything is closed and this was my 6 year anniversary and my two night stay was ruined by the pool being so gross. Enroute from Albuquerque home to San Diego. We usually stop in flagstaff but came this way for a change. So the way I describe the rooms is kind of like when you stage a house to sell. There are underlying issues you have covered with new stuff. NOTE the excellent staff specifically the girl woman who checked us in and had to come and replace the battery in the smoke alarm and come again to rekey the door. She was so nice friendly and accommodating. Also the lobby has been renovated and is very nice. My main complaint is about the room and the bathroom. It has swing close type doors that don't quite close. And no fan. Traveling with our 18yo son and well I felt bad for him. I truly think code wise there should be a fan. This hotel was highly rated and has been ranked as exceptionally clean (which is extra important during COVID-19), so we were excited to stay here on our cross country travels while moving. Ryan who was working the front desk was both apathetic and unwelcoming at check in. He also wasn't wearing a mask, which is against hotel policy, and we are in the midst of a deadly pandemic whose spread can be slowed by wearing a mask. Not great. After checking in to our room and settling in, I found a green pill lying in the middle of the floor - the middle of the floor where my five month old son was stretching out on a blanket and where my dogs were playing. A unmarked green pill that could be anything - and definitely isn't something a baby or dog should eat. That was unacceptable. When I called the front desk to report the pill, Ryan sighed dramatically and said, "Fine. I can move you to a different room." When I came downstairs to get the new key, Ryan (who was still not wearing a mask) said, "Room 219, right?" I said, "Yes". I explained why this was dangerous and gross. Rather than offering any sympathy or apology, Ryan (finally) looked me in the eye and said, "How was I supposed to know?" And then he rolled his eyes. I booked here because this hotel allows dogs, without any extra fees and without any weight restrictions. This is WONDERFUL. I would have paid more for someone to watch my fur-children. They do allow your dogs to be in the room unattended but will call you if any complaints. I took preventive measures any time that we had to leave them, by putting a humane bark collar on them. They were also crated when we were away from the room. The hotel says they will charge $250 fine, If caught not cleaning up after your pet. Great! Hold irresponsible dog owners responsible. However, the amount of dog poop all around the outside, is disgusting. So something isn't working with their policy. Maybe they need cameras...I didn't see any. Unfortionatly, those ppl will ruin it for the rest of us and la quinta prob will start charging for pets. There are dog bags outside people! Use them. I loved seeing all the dogs here. The room/bed was comfortable. Shower small but water pressure was ok. Free wifi, free parking and free breakfast- very basic breakfast. You get your money's worth here. In the same parking lot is cracker barrel, which is good food. The hotel is RIGHT off the freeway and there are 2 gas stations right by it. Super convenient. read more

The rooms are nice and clean and they allow pets and Don't charge you extra and I have NO complaints. But the staff the main reason I'm leaving a 5 star review. They are AMAZING and so accommodating and nice to deal with . Randy was the girl who checked me in and and I felt like I was talking to an old friend and she also informed me of discounts I may be eligible for (being a AAA member got me a discount) without me even asking. The next day I dealt with Kiera who is also at the front desk, I had a problem with my bill which was 100% my mistake because I rented the room for a friend and didn't inform them of that at the time. She called her manager right away (9 pm her manager was not working but still answered and resolved the issue) and was able to get me a refund and they didn't even charge me the regular fee for the room being WRECKED by the person I rented it for. Kiera explained the situation to her manager and they waived that fee along with the extra night the "friend" charged to the room and a temporary refund for their room service which they promised to honor if they could collect it from the person in the room. I try to always stay at La Quinta when on business trips. Price is great, suites for the cost of standard rooms in other approved hotels. Since these are independently owned they are not always the same quality. This location is one of the best. Staff is nice, rooms are nice, and it is in a good location. Seems Chuck is always up front when I am down from Flagstaff. He is always helpful and friendly. I'm noticing after a few years of staying here the hotel is beginning to show its age, but all in all its still a great value. -UPDATE- Over the past two years this place has gone downhill. Questioning life and potential death on the elevator, rooms going from immaculate to filthy, I have completely stopped staying here and moved on down the road to Drury Inn an exit or two down. A bit more money, but I don't leave feeling itchy and questioning if my bags have freeloaders ready to take over my house. Still a three star for what it is, but definitely no comparison to their competitors in the area now. read more

This place needs security. Parking lot is very active with people on bikes and walking around in the early a.m. The east side of the hotel got a 4am wake up call by a car in the parking lot blasting bass, trunk up, people milling around. The night clerk? Her solution was to give guests the hotel address and call PD to handle it ourselves. This place feels unsafe- and highly unsatisfying at $200/night. Drury Inn on Warner is a much better choice. read more

Dirty! The main hotel was a decent but the rooms are gross. When we arrived we inquired if animals are allowed in all rooms as we would prefer a room that didn't allow pets if possible. The front desk advised animals are allowed in all rooms but they take pride in making sure the rooms are clean. Not! I would look further if your expectations are cleanliness!
