Very strange it was so fast in less than 5 minutes. I am sorry to say the pizza was horrible. Soggy crust and dry pizza, not sure how that is even possible. Crust and pizza in general had no taste. I had this strange feeling the pizza might be premade and maybe they just add the topping for your order I don't know. Overall, it was very much a tale of 2 cities. Iffy service and horrid pizza. Sorry to hear of your experience . We aim to please . Our apologies . We try to make every effort to please our customers . We are a family style eatery and have been in business in Metuchen for the past 40 years. There is no excuse , but Friday's are very busy and things sometimes occur . We are currently in the process of remodeling . We installed a wall to provide some degree of privacy and trying to block the the cold air . It is tight we are going to fix that with different tables. In any event we apologize and will strive to be better. We rarely if at all receive any complaints of our pizza or other menu items. I never have a problem with the food I order, or it being delivered. They do follow orders that are changed "to your liking" and they deliver on time & to adjustments. Like asking if it can be delivered at a certain time, and in the backyard. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Oakwood Pizza for years, but over the past year, I've noticed a decline in both quality and customer service. Calls are now answered with just a "hello," without even identifying the business. The last time we ordered, the wings were overcooked and dry, and now this. It's disheartening to see a local restaurant, one that's been part of our community for so long lose sight of what made people support them in the first place: great food and genuine service. As local businesses struggle to stay open, I truly hoped Oakwood Pizza would rise to the occasion, not fall behind. Sadly, after this experience and the rudeness shown today, I can no longer support this establishment. I always try to root for small businesses, but respect and care for customers should never be optional.
