Family owned and operated and they put a lot of Italian love in all their food . greeted at the door by Nicole and seated with drinks immediately. very clean bathrooms and also of course the restaurant. so many slices available and daily specials for soups sandwiches and pasta and more, don't skip the italian desserts we had the cheesecake onsite made it was just like juniors.Definitely recommend this place great marinara pizza is amazing no flop and real fresh garlic on the knots . i cannot say enough about how good the food is the owners and the service ( Nicole). forgot to add they accommodate birthday and catering in the fine dining area if needed. after almost 20 years for me this restaurant is definitely my go to when i am back to Edison Nj area read more

Best Eggplant Parm sandwich I've ever tasted Perfect ratio of eggplant, sauce and cheese. Best wings in town, hands down! This is my family's go to spot for wings whenever we have a gathering like NFL Draft Night or Super Bowl. Also, they make a great zeppoli. I have yet to be disappointed with Edison Pizza. This is in my top 5 of Pizza places in NJ. Everything is fresh and made-to-order, so If you have an allergy, special diet, or just don't liKe one of the ingredients in a dish they can and will cater to your needs! The manager, Regina, is very sweet and makes it a point to make her customers happy. She goes above and beyond with customer service. I've had a few different pizza slices from here, the penne vodka pizza, grandma and regular all were very tasty. I enjoy their tortellini salad, and I order it without the olives which is no problem to them. The garlic knots and marinara sauce is on point. They have something new called "pizza bowls" where a pasta or salad is made inside a pizza crust and I really like it! It's inventive and tasty. The pizza bowl I ordered was the Italian chopped salad- it was so fresh and perfectly dressed, basically like a deconstructed Italian sub! I am big on bread with salad so it was nice having so much bread available to dIp into my salad. I've also had their cheese fries, which is probably my least favorite menu item because I've had much better in other restaurants. I lived just down the street from this Pizzeria about twenty-five years ago and was a regular their back then. So, whenever life takes me back to my hometown of Edison, New Jersey oh, I will often find myself visiting Edison Pizza and Italian Restaurant. Is there pizza life shattering? Honestly, no. But it is good pizza. Now that I live in Orlando, Florida, it is far better pizza that I can usually find out here. Plus there is something inherently special about a restaurants from your past that you can walk in and for a moment go back in time. The service is good here and the pizza, well, is there's such a thing as bad Pizza? If there was, explain Domino's and Little Caesars. But, again, this is good pizza. Ordered a pizza from the weekly specials menu. It was called the Picante Calamari Pizza Salad. It was good but was not as described in the menu. It was supposed to have mixed greens on it. It had calamari, hot cherry peppers, onions and balsamic glaze. Not sure why it's called a salad pizza when there wasn't any salad. Could it be they forgot to add the greens? Edison Pizza is truly the best. I first heard of Edison Pizza from a friend in college who grew up in that area. She now lives in Chicago and will literally eat here every day that she visits home. I now work not too far from here and have gone here on so many lunch breaks. The food truly speaks for itself. Everything is made from scratch and is made with love. The staff is so incredible sweet and accommodating and seem to really love what they do. This is a perfect depiction is NJ pizza. The best of the best. Today I tried their new Pizza bowls. WOW! I took the pies back inside and showed the young man at the counter and he even said it didn't look right. He asked the guy who made it and he said it was vodka. I didn't want to make a big deal so I went home and tried one slice and it had to be less than 5% vodka sauce on the pie. I'm not going back to this place, they clearly don't know how to make a vodka pie. Plus the owner was not so pleasant on a previous encounter that wasn't related to this occurrence but I will be taking my business elsewhere and I will not recommend these people. read more

First time ordering from this place. I ordered from here on a Sunday evening around 8:30pm. They said it would take 45 minutes. I ordered a small plain pizza, half plain and half broccoli and diced tomatoes, a chicken Cesar wrap with no croutons and no cheese on whole wheat and a chicken cheesesteak only onions. It arrived on time, and was hot. The pizza was mediocre. Although we ordered a small pizza - they pushed for the large pizza saying "it was only a dollar more"; yet completely failed to tell us that they also made "personal pan" pizzas, which cost half the price - which if we had known, would have ordered the "personal pan". It wasn't until after our order - and they supplied menus did we even know it was an option. The pizza; It wasn't bad but wasn't great. However, it was huge. If this was their "small" pie, I could only imagine what their "large" pie looks like. The chicken cheesesteak mediocre as well. The bread for the cheese steak had sesame seeds on it (which never have I ever ordered a chicken cheesesteak that had sesame seeds on the bun) what if I was allergic? - they never told me the bun would have sesame seeds. Total fail. The wrap, was large - but, not worth the $12 they charged. Who charges TWELVE DOLLARS FOR A CHICKEN CAESAR WRAP? - did Caesar himself prepare this wrap? My biggest issue is their prices. Having never ordered from this place before, one would assume they would be in line with standard pizza places. How do you charge $12 for a chicken Caesar wrap? Better yet, how do you charge $16 for a "small" pizza with two half toppings? ($1.50 for a half topping of broccoli and $1.50 for half topping of tomatoes? It is absurd.) - I could have purchased an entire tomato and an entire bag of broccoli florets at Shoprite for a dollar. They only charged $6.65 for a "small" chicken cheesesteak, which is reasonable - but is marred by the fact that the bun was covered in sesame seeds. Honestly, for these prices I'd expect better quality food. My opinion? Look elsewhere until they lower their prices. Pizza places are a dime a dozen and you shouldn't order here until they either improve the quality of their food or lower their prices and fall within the standard pricing of other pizza places. There is nothing distinguishable about this place. It is as generic as they come, yet their prices scream "gourmet". read more

Terrific kid friendly restaurant. Our family enjoyed eating a dinner of pizza and pasta here. Food was prepared quickly, and served hot. I have no idea how this restaurant gets any good reviews at all. I ate there on 6.29.24 with a party of 13 others. The waiter could barely speak English and we don't understand Spanish. The appetizers were dry and all fried in the same batter and oil so the fried shrimp tasted like the fried calamari. They were very greasy. My shrimp scampi on linguini was cold and tasted like crap. I was spoiled with Chicago deep dish pizza, and not fond of the pizza I had tried here in Jersey, until I found this place. My first slice was baked ziti pizza. Who on earth puts pasta on a pizza? These folks do and it is beyond delicious! The white pizza is amazing! The personal, at $10., is an awesome deal and enough to feed two people. Hubby gets the whole cheesesteak, regular and buffalo. Both are mouth watering. You've gotta try the wings! They are huge and so good I could eat them every day. If you dine in, you will get stuck at the counter, drooling at all the yummy pizza choices, unable to decide which one or two you gotta have. The slices are soooooo big, I can only choose one and can never eat more than half. Craving a salad? All of their salads are fresh and, even the small sizes are huge portions. An excellent value. The tortellini salad has soooooooo many tortellini and mozzarella, you can enjoy it for days. No meal is complete without the garlic knots with the heavenly marinara that comes with them. While we usually get delivery, we love dining in by because the restaurant is so pretty and we always make sure Jill is there. She is awesome! There was also a projector playing images from Italy that was displayed on the wall. It was something I had not seen before and I found it enjoyable. They start off with their homemade bread. We ordered 1 plain pie and 1 pie with multiple toppings. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Both pizzas we extraordinarily uneventful. The sauce had ZERO taste. I would think perhaps I had symptoms of Covid 19, bc some report tastelessness, but was also said by 2 others who had the pizza. The toppings didn't seem to augment the taste either. Again, have heard great things about the place. Have heard their food off the menu is strong. When I received my order everything was correct except the salad instead of an fruit and nut salad. I received a garden salad . When I called the manager on duty was not happy that I was complaining and said that a fruit and nut salad is basically a garden salad with fruit and nuts. I received another one and still not what I ordered as seen by picture. A fruit and nut salad is salad that has candied pecans , dried cranberries and fresh mango. Ordered Shrimp Parmigiana (no pasta) today I got overcooked shrimp (not breaded) in a light sauce with pieces of onion & tomato no mozzarella... last time I ordered it, I got chicken parmigiana instead which unfortunately had to be tossed since I'm allergic to poultry!! I've had their Shrimp Parmigiana many many times in the past & it was excellent, maybe it still would be if they got the order correct, who knows?
