After reading the reviews of several spas on Yelp, I decided to try out La Sini Skin Care Center yesterday. Simply because the reviews were pretty detailed and even the negative review didn't sound so bad. I went in, after not having had a facial in years. I recently broke out with a few deep pimples, and wanted to get them extracted professionally. The owner of the spa, Sue, was friendly and had me fill out a form about my skin right away. Another woman brought me some tea while I filled out the form. Sue took a look at my skin and offered a regular facial and microdermabrassion facial. She described the difference between the 2 and I chose the microdermabrassion since it was a deeper clean. Once I was finished filling out the forms, Sue asked me if I needed to use the restroom, as the process would take about 80 minutes. The restroom was very clean and so was the rest of the place, which made me feel at ease. Sue was very friendly throughout the facial, explaining to me what everything was and what it did (I was asking her questions). She was very easy on my skin, as I told her it was sensitive. The I left the place with glowing skin. My skin is still glowing today! I was not pushed to buy any of the products. I was recommended a acne spot treatment for $8, which I purchased but I didn't feel the pressured to buy anything else. I felt comfortable with that because I hate feeling obligated to buy additional products. I would definitely go back, and will be telling my friends about this place. read more

This is an update to my review about a month ago. So Lina offered another touch up and I took up her offer. This time around she drew out my eyeliners and discussed how they would turn out prior to applying topical anesthesia on me. I appreciate her efforts and she has always been very cordial throughout the process. I do like my eyeliners now. If you are considering getting your eyeliners tattoo, I would recommend the good service here, but I would definitely discuss how you want them to be exactly before starting the whole procedure. read more

I just had the microdermabrasion facial at La Sini - hands down the best facial I've ever had out of a couple dozen in the last six years. Their technology and technique is amazing - I got two meticulous passes with the microdermabrasion machine, careful and thorough extractions, a killer massage, and more. My skin feels incredible - I booked my collagen facial for next time! A lot of spas apply random products to your face, half-ass their extractions and massage, and call it a facial. I'm very impressed with the attitude of the staff. Like, giving me calls to remind me of my appointment. The place is warm, quiet, nice and clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lina is awesome for making me feel comfortable during the procedure. I like the way she explains first what she's going to do ahead of time. At least, I know what to expect. La Sini Skincare has never disappointed me since I've started having my facial here. Anna (Wen) has always been gentle and detailed. She never rushes her facial. My skin has improved A LOT. I make sure I see her every 3-4 weeks. My skin is always glowing after every facial. Their products are effective at decent prices. They won't push you to buy their products. BUT if you really want to achieve a good looking skin, you need to use their products. Anna is very good in controlling ACNE, I have occasional breakouts due to poor sleeping habit and unhealthy diet. Otherwise, I rarely break out now. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LA SINI SKINCARE. Thank you La Sini for making me beautiful for my wedding!! I've been going to La Sini for about half year. It's a great place for skin care! I love this place. Their staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Sue is always pleasant to chat, and she always give me advice on skin care. They use best products to treat their customers and that's why I can see result after a single treatment. Half year ago, I had a lot of skin problems due to my stress from work and school. I got acne all over my face and dark circles on my eyes. I used many acne products, but they didn't work well on me. I glade I found La Sini Skin Care Center. They help me solved my acne and dark circle problems, and my face look bright and clean now. My wedding is coming on July. But I went to camping with my friends in Jun (I really shouldn't go, but it was fun). Unfortunately, my face turned really dark due to the sunburned even though I did put on my sunscreen. I've been going to La Sini for over 5 years and I am still going to this place after I moved to east bay last year. I have to say this is the best facial place I have ever had. This place is nice & clean, relaxing and reasonably priced. Sue is very professional, friendly and caring. She carefully evaluates my skin everytime I go there, and uses different products for different areas. She also gives really good massage on my face and neck, and one time, she even spent extra time to massage my neck & head when I had a really bad headache and stiff neck. She also gives me bunch of free samples but never hard sell. I refer a lot of my friends and co-workers to this place and everyone loves it!!! read more

Great place for skin care~!! they make skin care treatment enjoyable and relaxing. They have many fantastic programs for varied type of skins. My skin is too oily so i have big pores and blackhead/acne all over my face, especially the T zone. I have tried many department store products, but they didn't work so well until my friend introduced me this place. Unlike those skin care shops in downtown area, their price is fair, wow, I would like to say, totally worth~!! I am visiting from the UK and the sleepless nights and the bad fastfood had taken its toll on my skin, my face erupted with a lot of spots and blemishes. Its coming up to Christmas and Im a little bit worried about how my face will look in the next few days. Anyways, My mom had been a faithful customer of this skin care center and she was the one who kinda convinced me to try their services. At first I said no thinking that facials could aggravate my skin... but seeing their facilities, I finally agreed. They have the proper facial equipment and their products looks quite good. Within a few minutes of sitting there, I can see how many clients comes to get their facials done. The ladies, Sue and Eva had been very accommodating and tried to squeeze me in for the treatment. I've also seen that the ladies (Sue and Eve) have really great skin and they are walking advertisements for the products and services themselves. Sue was the one who did my facial. I asked for the Whitening/ Brightening Facial. Sue was extremely nice and was very professional throughout the entire procedure. She never made me feel bored or concious and she offered good skin care advice. I have tried a lot of facial centres in the UK but I was never satisfied. What I love about the facial is that it was never rushed and Sue really made sure that I feel good all throughout the facial treatment. She steamed my face, suctioned the dirt, put on masked and the massage was and added bonus. It was so relaxing, I dozed off during the treatment. After, my face felt really clean and my skin looked so hydrated. The facial was so worth it I would have paid for the amount of the facial twice over but instead, Sue gave a special discount since I was a first time customer. If I don't live so far I wouldn't have a problem enrolling for more treatments. So I thought a good maintenance will be to have a take home skin - care. I asked Sue for her expert advice regarding the skin care products and she suggested what is appropriate for my skin. She didn't push or oversell any of her products. I wish i could give negative stars but unfortunately not... seriously??? all these reviews? i really doubt if they are real customers or writing them w/ an agenda. i have been there a few times now and i think i have an obligation to warn others since i don't want anyone to experience what i went through. CONS: Unsterilized equipment----- simply make your skin infective, big time! every time she would use a pin or watever on my face. at the same day after its done, it seemed ok-ly healed because of the hi-frequency machine. however, disaster starts to come later on that day or the day after.... 4 out of 5 spots she "treated" will turned into an acne/pimple (its not just a zip, its a big/huge pum!) ....at first i thought its because of toxic....but this happened every single time . therefore, i went to dermatology for help, now i know my skin has been deep down infected by her pins or watever stuff!!! everytime i did my "facial" i ended up having 3 or 4 big pumps on my face, and at least the week trying to cover up my face and avoiding seeing others! this is emotionally painful and devastating experience, and i sincerely hope this doesn't happen to anyone who is doing research on facial place here. PRO: the setting is good , but dont be fooled, u will pay , pay big time, trust me... this place is purely a sh*thole and i am stll having the wound scars from my first time, and now there is more..... read more

I used to go for a facial in Fremont for many years while I lived in South Bay. Since I moved to San Bruno around 7 months ago and was looking for a facial around the new place. La Sini was the first that I tried and I am hook. Both Su and Eva are extremely professional and they will evaluate your skin and give you bunch of sample to try. I love that they also include the free eye brow shaping into the facial package and very nice massage. Since I came here, my sun spot on the face has been fading and i think their facial really help to clean up my face and make my skincare product work better. Tried this place for a facial cause they have good reviews on the Yelp . They have pretty good deal for first time customers . I chose the microdermabrasion and something else( which the esthetician claimed it would help to tighten up skin ), it costed me $88 only and she spent about 1.5 hour . During the facial , she didn't introduce herself and explain what products she was going to put on my face .Unless I asked her, then she only used one to two words to answer my question. I felt she really didn't want to say anything with her customer so I stopped saying a word . Without any notice, she used needle to pierce my skin for extraction !!! I have none of pimples on my face !!! Don't understand why she had to use a needle !!!! Anyway , I walked out with red spots on my face and the next day , I had few big and red pimples on my face where she had poked me !!! My skin was worse than I had the facial before !!!! I have had facials regularly for over 15 years , I can tell their equipments are not cleaned and the esthetician is not skillful either!! Never go back again!! read more

Sue and the staff have been absolutely amazing. They are caring, professional and attentive to the needs of my skin. I found this place when I lived in South SF for a brief time, and continued to come back even after I moved to Sacramento. I was never a fan of facials, but gave it a try and I must say that I learned alot about my skin type and how to take care of it. First the shop ambience was inviting and the music was soft and soothing. A perfect intro to your skincare experience. And, the facial experience was relaxing, gentle and so thorough. The face and head massage was heaven. As other reviews noted, this can be a personal experience and Anna made me feel comfortable and relaxed as she skillfully and thoroughly completed each facial treatment and described the process so I knew what was going on. My favorite part about this place is how easy it is to find parking since I live in San Francisco, it is very hard to find parking ^_^ There is a parking area about half a block near this place. My friend introduce me to this place because we usually go to the dim sum place just down the block. I recommend going to this place for a facial and then reserve a table for dim sum...although i forget the name of the dim sum place...and when u are done with your facial, you can go eat dim sum with your shiny and moist skin...i have to go for facials often because the weather in sf dries my skin very quickly. the inside of this place is very nice....i really like the colors. they use light purple to make the place look comforting. place is clean so this is a big bonus. i would recommend anna who did a very good job. she is the owner best employee so make sure u make an appointment. the owner sue is extremely nice too....they always very nice and will not rush you at all.... i always feel comfortable when i go to this place so i look forward to sunday! read more
