We took our car to LA Smog Test Only Center, and Jimmy took care of our smog test quickly and efficiently. We even had a coupon from his website. His shop is kind of small, and on a busy street, but he showed us exactly where to park while we waited for him to test the 2 cars which were in line ahead of us. When it was our turn, he even offered to drive our car from the parking spot into the test bay for me! Great service and a very friendly personality too! Our car passed, and we were on our way. One thing to note, LA Smog was a tiny bit tricky to find as the signage was hidden by a tree from the direction we approached, and there are other [more expensive] smog places nearby, but just follow the address, 410 N. La Brea Ave, and you won't go wrong. LA Smog T. O. C. is great, and JImmy is the best. ..... Make sure to get the coupon from the website! read more

Called them for an estimate and didn't receive an answer by phone! I received a text within a few minutes of my call, it was the owner Jimmy, following up on my request. It was rush hour so I didn't think I'd make it before closing. I received a call back from Jimmy at closing and he asked if I was still coming, and he even offered to wait for me. I arrived 15 minutes after closing and was greeted by Jimmy and his huge smile! I was in and out in no time! Very professional, thorough, and pleasant business owner all around!! You'd think that getting a smog check is pretty much a standard commodity item, and anyplace that did it would inspire about as much loyalty as, say, a gas station. But I've been bringing my cars to Jimmy for YEARS (maybe 8? with at least half a dozen cars), and I have always had prompt, thorough service at a very fair price. He's a pleasant and professional guy, and makes what could otherwise be a minor annoyance into an agreeable experience. Can't recommend him more highly. read more

This is my second smog with Jimmy (shoutout DMV) and LA Smog has only gotten better with age. Even his fish are a little bigger and still happy. The shop is clean, doesn't smell like fumes or anything upsetting, and now even the Mayor of Inglewood endorses this shop! I had my Ford Excursion rebuilt rear differential with Detroit locker and 4.88 gears. Front axle conversion to a Dana 60, Dynatrac solid ball joints, Timken Wheel bearings, Eaton truetrac differential and 4.88 gears new u-joints. Transfer case fluid change. Install of 8 piston brakes all around with stainless steel lines from SSBC. Coming back for for a BDS 10" Lift, Fox Struts and longer SS Brake lines. Possibly a PCS Steering Ram assist I highly recommend them. They have a customer for life now.

Jimmy and LA Smog Test were truly helpful to me . My car failed the first test but Jimmy told me that if the car did not pass I could come back and have it redone for only $10. I had just bought a new battery. So the guy (Jimmy) told me to come back. He didn't fully charge me for the second time. Only $11 for the retest. So folks, if your battery is new, make sure it has 100 miles on it or it will not pass the test. But this place doesn't double charge. So that's something. read more

I have an older car & it failed the test. Jimmy allowed me to retest for free even though it took much longer for the repair shop (not Jimmy) to diagnose and fix the problem . The time limit had expired, however, Jimmy still helped me by retesting the car and this time it passed. Thank you ! read more
