I haven't needed a smog check in some time and I wasn't the one that usually kept maintenance on my vehicle. So it was my turn to find a place. Most places didn't open until 9:00 a.m.! I have to be at work so I needed a place that was open early. Long behold this place opened at 8:00 a.m. that I found on Yelp. What got my attention was the picture of the owner smiling in his photo so I took the 16 minute drive to his location. There was no wait! Fast, polite, pleasant experience. Wow! Came here because my prior smog place was randomly closed. What a great experience! I just pulled up, no appointment, to try my luck. I didn't have much of a wait - one car was ahead of me, but there are clean seats to sit in while waiting. In total, spent max 25-30 mins there. Agree with other reviewer about the one-way entrance and tight driving lane. I've been going to Kenny for several years now, probably about 6 times now. Out of those times I don't believe I ever had to wait. He starts right away and does his job thoroughly. My cars have always passed. Kenny is quick and complete. His shop is located among a line of other garages. It's a little crowded and you just need to know that the driveway is one way. Great shop I was in and out in 25 minutes. The only hard part was the shop is in a strip mall that has a 1 way drive way. You have to get lucky since there isn't a lot of parking. Luckily there was no wait for me. I logged into the dmv an hour later and my results had already shown up. read more

I was looking for a smog check place close to work, so Smog Express Test Only popped up on Google. I called to see if they had an opening as I did not have a lot of time. Kenny said he was open with nobody waiting. He took my vehicle description and gave me directions. Upon my arrival, I saw a car waiting to get tested, but Kenny was holding the spot for me. He waved me in, drove my car into the bay and tested my car. Test was $45, which was very reasonable. Jumping ahead two weeks, my trucked needed to get smogged. I called Kenny in the morning to find out his hours, Kenny remembered me. Told him i'd be in around 5:15PM. On my way over (around 5:10PM), Kenny called to tell me there was no wait. A couple minutes later, I arrived and pulled right in for the test. I believe in customer service, Kenny has that down. I found the only smog station I will need. I'm not going anywhere else. Kenny is a hard working guy trying to support his family, very honorable in today's world. I will send all my family and friends to Kenny, I'm certain they will not be disappointed. Amazing! Received the dreaded smog letter in the mail from the dmv so what's the first thing you do? Yelp a place near your work and win! Didn't have an appointment so had to wait for he car in front of me. When it actually came to my turn it was faster than the waiting itself ... I mean when do you ever get faster and better service just by waiting a few minutes??? $50 bucks later out the door and happy. Nice Korean guy that obviously takes pride in what he does and is a master at it. No questions asked the best and only place to get a smog done in the South Bay or even in Southern California. Make sure you go to the smog test stall at the end of the row of car repair places in my picture. I saw the reviews, I messaged through Yelp for a quote. Kenny replied in like 5 minutes (maybe less). Quoted me $45 to smog my car. Showed up, pulled straight in, and was out in less than 20 minutes. The results were sent in electronically and the DMV (and AAA) already had the results before I could drive over to renew my registration. Super fast, great service, reasonably priced. Like others have said, the parking is kinda tricky, you need to enter off 131st I believe. The Inglewood side is Exit only.
