The hype for La Sponda is very high. Every instagram reel, post, blog says to go here. And I'm happy to report, IT REALLY IS AMAZING. I couldn't find a table for weeks and then while we were already in Positano, we saw something open at 10pm the following day. Even when we got there, it still have a very cool vibe with the lights dimmed, and tons of style. We didn't see a view but honestly it didn't even matter. The service at the beginning of the meal was a bit off but it really picked up and made us feel like we were royalty. The food itself and drinks were all so delicious and some of the best bites we had in Italy. Pastas cooked perfectly, veggies with so much flavor and desserts that were awesome. Its pricy but if you can make it work, this is worth it.

Every recognition is very well deserved let's just say that. From the gorgeous views to the intimate live music serenading each table, this place is astoundingly. Every single bite was filled with endless flavor and a memorable savoriness that makes my mouth water at just the thought of the meal. There is a $160 minimum per person that was not indicated so keep that in mind.

I made reservations for my birthday and all I can say is Ah-MAY-zing!!! Everything was perfection,,,the location, the service, the view, the food. I had an excellent experience and would rate this restaurant a 10/10!

We dined here one evening last summer and it was absolutely divine! Our vacation to Italy was wonderful, but the one thing we couldn't change was that we were just so HOT everywhere we went. Dinner on the terrace at La Sponda was maybe the only meal that my husband didn't sweat through. The view was spectacular, but it was the breeze that was the real winner! The ambiance was very romantic and the food and service were both exceptional. I would also recommend having a drink at Aldo's or the Don't Worry Bar before dinner.

A night to remember. 1000% worth it if you have the chance to go. This was our most memorable dinner in Positano, surrounded by candlelights and serenaded by the most talented musicians. The food was delicious but the service and ambience were the true highlights.

Shocked that la sponda received 1 Michelin star. This is the worst Michelin restaurant I've ever dined at. The ambience: 5 stars. The decor and view were beautiful. There were also two musicians who went around to each table, singing and playing guitar. This was the most redeeming factor. The service: 2 stars. We started dinner at the Don't Worry Bar. We were told to leave our drinks, as our waiter would bring them to the table. However, our drinks never arrived. We had to re-order them and were charged twice. Several times our water cups were empty. We ordered sparkling water and received still water. It felt as though we were at an under-staffed restaurant. The food: 3 stars. Even if the food was half price, I still would not come back. Everything came out cold. We saw our food sitting ready for five minutes before it was brought over. We ordered the spaghetti and the ravioli. We also ordered the veal and red snapper. Nothing amazed me. The taste was plain. The food was not even plated beautifully. Our homemade spaghetti is better We didn't order dessert but did receive complimentary sweet bites. One out of three of them was great. I took one bite of the chocolate and couldn't finish it. It tasted like I had bitten into a Johnny walker. Next to us, I could hear another couple with the same remarks as us. La sponda is such a beautiful place, but I'd come here just for a drink and not the food. Save your money.

You definitely need a reservation for this spot. Service was great, food was great, and the view and ambiance was great as well. I wouldn't say the food + experience was incredible enough to warrant 5 stars - but a solid 4!!! I think it's probably accurately priced - but still did feel a little bit pricey in terms of cocktails and starters. For example our caprese salad was $30. Anyways - an enjoyable experience and tasty meal!

The food was ok, my wife ordered some oysters and these were definitely fresh and could not be any better. We ordered the risotto and had the waiter split it for us since we didn't want to order and appetizers instead ordered a main and shared it, well they charge you an additional 20% just to split the dish, just be aware of this, risotto was undercooked and was really soupy, when asked they didn't really say why. So still ended up paying for it. The beef tortellini with black truffle was decent, nothing to write home about, my partner ordered a white truffle dish and she said this was spectacular. We had the chocolate souffle and that was ok as well, nothing amazing, Gary danko would have put their soufflé to shame. We did get some complimentary taster and a lemon base alcohol drink. Service was great, always had a wait staff come by taking used plates and repouring water etc etc. Ambiance was amazing, after all you are in Positano... if they fail on that then you know the place flops! For almost €400 I don't know if the portions and unique flavors really did it for me. I'd probably skip this place if ever I'm back in Positano.

I dined here for lunch. It was just as amazing as I had hoped it would be. Of course as everywhere I went on the Amalfi coast, the service was outstanding. The view was perfect. I requested a table outside and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing as well. I would highly recommend La Sponda if you are looking for a restaurant in Positano. I believe they book up quick during the peak season so you should make reservations ahead of time.

Ambience is 20/10. Highly recommend going there early and having a drink and seeing the views of Positano and sunset. It is breath taking and very romantic. Service was amazing. Every dish that was brought out was very tasteful and savory. Seated tuna was cooked to perfection. Don't order dessert because they give you complementary dessert at the end. Restaurant is lit by 400+candles.

Located in the Amalfi Coast across from the picturesque sea. This mostly outdoor upscale ristorante offered exceptional food and even more exquisite service. Giovanni and Roberto both took care to make sure our 2 dinners there were perfect. The first night we dined on pasta that was house made with sauce your Nona would be proud of. Fresh made bread baked in-house came out steaming hot and soft inside . Nocino after dinner digestive finished off the meal. That was perfect for us since it is near impossible to get Nocino in the states. Our return the next evening was filled with fireworks celebrating the Saint of Positano over the water as we ate ravioli with 3 sauces. Simply delicious. Come here if you want not just amazing food but also a dining experience you will not soon forget.

Hot housemade bread was served with our meal with a slight crunch and soft inside. Perfection. Tables were set close together and we met other travelers who mentioned they often returned to eat here. We loved it so much we returned for a 2nd night in Postiano. Nochino at end of meal . We even had fireworks on last night outside resturant to finish a beautiful evening of great service. Absolutely would recommend !!!

After being tricked by tourist traps via TripAdvisor all over Rome, I'm glad we found this place! - Ambiance (Yay) was great, no tacky checkered table cloths and good amount of elbow room here - Service (€3 pp, eh) started off well when we arrived early but was VERy slow when more guests arrived - Parking @7 on Monday if you drive yourself is decent, street parking Food (YAY): - free bread (ok): haven't really had "good" bread in Italy besides pizza type dough tbh. I'm a fan of crusty Spanish bread, French croissants, etc but the bread here generally doesn't cut it - minestrone (€12, yay): lots of veggies like onions, tomatoes and potatoes, not super acidic - gnocchi (€14, yay): fresh and tangy but sweet tomatoes, perfectly cooked gnocchi - sea bass (€24, yay): basically steamed, cooked in water and served with a mostly tomato-based slightly thickened sauce - steak (€22, SO said yay): sans-fat, served with butter/roasted rosemary potatoes Dessert (NAY): - lemon dessert cake (€10 - meh): overly sweet filling and cake, but the cake was moist - mousse w/strawberries (€10 - BoOoo): wrongly tempted by the "made from our garden" strawberries, this was super super sweet and lost the "fresh" aspect TLDR: great views, would recommend for a romantic dinner - not the cheapest but quality ingredients and friendly overall.
