Had a great time coworking here with a friend. Delicious, warmly spiced drinks and great service, with a relaxing ambiance. Tucked away right off the road en route to Riverside.

I visited La Tacita on a cold, snowy day and was happy they were open. This Mexican inspired coffee shop is located in the heart of Riverside that was in desperate need of some good coffee. The espresso was particularly delicious. I had a honey latte and the carrot cake. I will be back!

I don't usually like matcha, but this one was so good. I also got their special, Mexican White chocolate iced coffee, but I ended up drinking all of it before I got a picture lol. The inside has a nice calm vibe.

So yummy I forgot to let the camera drink first!

Tried a cafe olla latte - so much flavor and I don't love overly sweet and this was just perfect.

Lovely spot with cozy atmosphere and delicious coffee. The Cafe de Olla was tasty and the mini pancakes were wonderful. Friendly service too. Highly recommend.

The cutest little coffee shop. Very attentive quick service and delicious coffee. I will surely be back to try their Dulzura de cacahuate.

A charming new coffee shop on Vivion Rd in Northmoor that has been open for just a few weeks. La Tacita brings some cool vibes to the run down strip mall that it resides in. The low overhead seems to be passed along to the customers because my double cortado and large sandwich was $11. 50... more than fair for the quality and great customer service. Offering coffee and espresso based drinks with beans from Broadway Roasters. They also feature smoothies and fresh juices, pastries and in house made breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The space is compact with about 4 tables and some counter seating along with a few cafe style patio tables. The cafe's name and decor invoke Latin America, yet the menu is decidedly Anglo. The owner Cardo, was genuinely appreciative of my patronage and was eager to talk about his business, coffee in general and ask questions and for feedback. It is an absolute pleasure when a business owner engages with with his customers in such a forthright, positive and inquisitive nature. I'm thankful that La Tacita is only 2 blocks from my work; I know that I will be a near daily regular! My Cortado was great and the "Savory Surprise" sandwich was exceptional: Ciabatta roll with Prosciutto, Ham, Salami, Muenster, Spring mix, Artichokes and Pesto. Five stars on all measurable metrics.

The best breakfast sandwich and green smoothie ever! Very cute place will definitely come back

Food, service and ambiance are amazing. This place is a hidden gem. The tres leches is divine. Must try.

I rarely leave reviews but this place was too good. I was looking for coffee and found this awesome little coffee shop. The inside is set up really nice and the staff working were really kind. I ordered a vanilla bean latte with oat-milk and it was delicious! I also got my kids this amazing green smoothie and an egg crust cheese sandwich. All of it was great! I highly recommend trying this place out! It's my new favorite place!

The options this place offers is appetizing. I really wanted 3 different sandwiches and finally settled on the Wagyu Nebraskan. The Dutch crunch bread is amazing! Now, this kind of bread is not for those with sensitive palates, meaning you might find it difficult to eat the crunchy top of the bread. You know, like when you eat dry crunchy cereal. But if you can take smaller bites, it's not as difficult to eat and it's so tasty! I'm a big fan. The meat was plentiful, the cheese was good, and the sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the sauerkraut as well. The sandwich just works really well together. I got a churro cookie and wow, that thing was amazing. I enjoyed every single bite and crumb of that big chewy delicious cookie. I need more cookie. And more sandwich. This place is yummy. And the location is just FUN!

This Bay Boy is a small window located inside The Commons which is connected to Cinderblock Brewery but, don't be fooled by its small stature it still carries the full menu of the West Plaza location. The one thing it boasts is you can grab a brew from with The Commons bar or from Cinderblock while your sandwich is crafted. And don't fret because these sandwiches are well worth any wait they may take! What makes Bay Boy utterly unforgettable is the Dutch crunch bread. This unique crackly slightly crunchy but still, oh so pillowy soft bread is the perfect vessel to hold all the fillings of any of the sandwiches on the extensive menu. My number one recommendation sadly is not always on the menu but if you catch it you better order it! It is called The Blue Blaze and it consists of juicy white meat turkey, peppery arugula, melty mild white cheddar and locally sourced spicy blueberry jam. It's the perfect combination of sweet and savory with a kick. Another winner is the Wagyu Nebraskan if you want a bougie take on a Rueben. The Wagyu corned beef is locally sourced and is melt in your mouth paired with a slightly sweet kraut, nutty Swiss cheese and the tangy thousand island this sandwich is an elevated take on a classic. Another winner, well let's just face it any sandwich at Bay Boy is a winner winner chicken dinner (in the words of the iconic Guy Fieri), but let's focus on another rift of a classic sandwich the El Jefe. This is Bay Boy's take on a Cubano but unlike its predecessor the bread isn't flat or pressed it's on a Dutch crunch roll like every sandwich on the menu. The mojo pork is buttery and fatty- in a good way- making the meat so moist that combined with salty ham, melted Swiss and zingy briny pickles makes for a killer combination. Don't forget the mustard! And how Bay Boy makes it there own is with an addition of a zesty vibrant red pepper sauce. You can't help but to love El Jefe. I could go on and on about how each sandwich is unparalleled but, I'll just bore you with one more...The Bay Boy, I couldn't cover Bay Boy's without mentioning the sandwich that the restaurant was named after (or was it the other way around) anyways it doesn't matter. The Bay Boy is a cold sandwich (unlike the other ones I mentioned which are all toasty) which may sound simple but, the medley of flavors is paired down perfection. No pile of meats just stand alone Soppressata which shouldn't need any introduction because it's the superior salami. This sandwich gets sauced down with not one, not two but four sauces that make the sandwich anything but dry. Classic mayo and mustard are alongside a creamy pungent garlic sauce and a red pepper sauce, which is a mix of cherry and banana peppers. Then produce is added for freshness, think lettuce, tomato and zippy raw red onions (my personal favorite) with pickles of course! This truly is a sandwich masterpiece.

The pick-up is so quick and easy - just order online, pop-in, and grab your order off the shelves to the left of the entry door. You can't go wrong with the food here from girl breakfast, to the plain + simple breakfast sandwich, to the pepperjack burrito, to the market bowl, lunch menu and their many many mouthwatering pastries. And don't forget about the coffee! They have both real mugs and to-go cups. I love their regular drip coffee, cold brew, cappuccinos and lattes. The cafe's interior design is modern, chic and comfortable with a mix of booth and table seating. I can usually find a seat for 2-4 people, groups larger than that may have a hard time finding a seat during peak times like weekend mornings. Seasonally, McLain's offers outdoor seating, too. Best of all, the staff makes you feel right at home - welcoming, friendly, helpful, hardworking and clean. Parking is angled street parking out front. Sometimes I have to walk a bit but never more than a block. Just writing this has me craving McLain's already.

Since then they've expanded with several locations and I end up going to closer locations. But recently the monthly special was out at my normal Longboards but this location had it, so I ended up back in the old stomping grounds. I ordered online with no issues. They have a lot of parking. The building is pretty good sized, they basically have two rooms, one is just seating. Hawaiian vibes. Service is always friendly. I had a brief wait but my food was super fresh so I didn't mind. On my most recent visit I tried the monthly special, which was the Shaka surf and turf wrap. It was large and I had enough for two meals. I liked the tempura shrimp and the noodles. The steak had good flavor. I really like the originality of the monthly specials and tend to gravitate towards those over the regular menu but everything I've tried has been good. Check out their social media to find out more about their specials. I love that they offer hummus as a side and I always get it. They also have chips and some soft drinks. I can't speak for the in-store vibes since I got takeout, but from the website I did enjoy their fun marketing. I got the cabin chicken wrap, cabo steak wrap, and s'mores wrap. To start, the savory longboard wraps were fantastic and creamy without taking away from the salty and juiciness of the meat. The s'mores was a disappointment - I could barely see the marshmallows. Either add more or use dandies marshmallows instead please. Overall good experience and I would order their savory dishes again.

What really stood out right away was the service. The lady taking our orders was incredibly nice and personable, and she actually took the time to walk us through the menu to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I went with the #5, which is their version of a Sicilian Muffuletta. It was phenomenal. It's stacked with mortadella, salami, provolone, ham, and Swiss cheese, topped perfectly with a red wine vinaigrette chopped olive salad, all sitting on a beautifully toasted seeded loaf. One of my friends ordered the #20 Reuben, and it was a masterpiece. We're talking melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu corned beef, legit sauerkraut from Brooklyn, house-made Russian dressing, and melty Swiss, all piled high between two buttery, toasted slices of marble rye bread. Naturally, I also grabbed a couple of their homemade chocolate chip cookies, and we got a raspberry and blueberry tiramisu that was absolutely terrific. You just can't leave a place like this without hitting the dessert menu! I consider myself very lucky to have experienced this spot.
