Our first visit here after looking for a restaurant in the area. It was highly recommended by people I know so we were optimistic. Maybe too optimistic. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and tastefully decorated and the staff was attentive and helpful. I just wish the food was better. I was hoping to be wowed but I wasn't. Not that it was bad it was just a tad a boring. When the warm focaccias came out with seasoned dipping oil I was hopeful. It was great. Followed by a very tasty appetizer of Portabella Romano. Fried portobello mushrooms over spinach and red peppers with strips of Mozzarella cheese. Very tasty! The tossed salads were average that followed. But the entrées fell flat. My veal piccata was not tender and was simply veal medallions with capers on the plate. Not much lemon flavour came through. My friend had eggplant parmigiana which was huge and she thought it was good. My other friend had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. She said the noodles were homemade. My side dish of penne with marinara sauce was delicious. Maybe I'm too critical because I was told it was fantastic. But 3 stars is based on the food.

Stopped in for dinner while staying a few nights in New Stanton on an adventure. Found it on yelp and asked the desk manager at the hotel about it. He confirmed the positive reviews. Not that busy when we arrived. Sign on the door requiring proper attire and "no hats"! Just a little confused as what proper attire is as they were many people there in shorts and tennis shoes. I really don't understand the no hats policy with some restaurants. We decided to sit in the lounge is it seem to be a little bit more joyful. After reviewing the multiple menus, my wife and I decided on adult beverages. My wife ordered a glass of Pinot noir, and I their Manhattan. The wine was delicious and they didn't know how to make a Manhattan! My wife decided on their personal pizza, which was actually about plate size cut in four slices. It was absolutely fresh and delicious! I decided on their Cajun shrimp. It was an interesting flavor combination of some Cajun spiced shrimp on a bed of sautéed spinach with some balsamic vinegar as well. It was fairly tasty and interesting! As we will be here a few days, there is a high probability we will visit again.

What a fabulous place ! Lovely atmosphere, terrific service , excellent food!! Calamari was done perfectly , not chewy at all!! The chicken Marsala was delicious as was the special , which was a white fish with a lemon butter caper sauce! Caesar dressing tasted homemade which is a rarity and it was amazing !!! The chief / owner walked around to each table to converse and make sure everything was satisfactory. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

If you are ever near New Stanton, PA La Tavola is a MUST DO. Lou is not only a master chef but a very personal guy who always checks with his customers to ensure they're happy. If you need to travel out of your way to dine here, do it. Old School and Top Notch!

La Tavola was a fun lively restaurant and a great stop to our trip. The service was wonderful, very kind, and attentive. The restaurant is spacious and offers an extensive menu with all your Italian favorites. The restaurant is rather expensive and not worth its price entirely. Portions are large, but unless you order some special seafood or meats, it doesn't warrant its price. We had a great time and did enjoy our dinner though. I ordered an imported spaghetti with meat sauce and sampled their fried calamari. Bread was provided too. Altogether, we had a great experience. Give this place a try. Local hotel discounts are offered. Blessings!

Solid 3.5 stars and probably the best food near the New Stanton turnpike exit. This place is perfectly acceptable but not exceptional.

We were so entertained by the entire experience. Some folks might find it off-putting but we were just anticipating our next laugh for each interaction. This place is by reservation only. Do not attempt to walk-in and be served. Not only do you have to reserve in advance but you must also specify what your dinners are earlier in the day to ensure they have the necessary ingredients to prepare the food. That said, everything was absolutely delicious! We started with sautéed sweet peppers with cheese and then the house salad which was brought to us family style. Dinner was chicken Marsala and chicken parm. Each came with a side of pasta. Another diner had shrimp scampi over pasta. Plates, glasses are mismatched. It really is like eating in your Aunt's kitchen. Dining room is very small with a couple old tables. BYOB and Cash only.

She was rude, not patient, and lacks customer service. She said she is the one who makes the food when I asked to speak to someone else. Very condensing woman and not sure how an establishment would be ok with someone talking to PAYING customers that way. I would never step foot or try this food and rather make the drive to Latrobe to be treated well at Carmine's. Ridiculous.

The parking can be a bit difficult to secure an easy spot as it's usually quite busy- so be sure to have a reservation! The Greensburg spot also has a unique upstairs seating area that we like to have if possible. Now for the main event- the food- it's amazing! From salads to pasta to pizza, you won't be disappointed. The whipped butter served with the bread is worth shouting out too! The chicken Parmesan, Alfredo, and pasta alla vodka were all delicious in the past- I would order any of them again. Eventually I had to go to the hostess and let her know that we'd been sitting there the entire time without even being offered water. She did go inquire after our server, who then came over and took our order. So already our experience was tainted. Things seemed fine after that, but once we finished our meal we ordered dessert to go. The server brought boxes for our leftovers, took the dessert order, and then disappeared. Our party of five had to leave, and I was left sitting at the table with a toddler about 15 minutes after the meal ended waiting for the check. She eventually returned and apologized, saying she couldn't find the cake we ordered and had to go look for it. She then asked if we wanted bags for our to-go containers, after everything had already been packed up. Normally, the containers and bag are brought to the table together for leftovers. The last thing we wanted to do was wait another 10 minutes for bags for our leftovers. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled.

We reported the issues and they offered a check as reimbursement, which is nice. Now they tell us to buy other brands because of our honest comments. Let's look at it objectively ... they have butter cookies with mislabeled ingredients. Shouldn't they thank us for bringing it to their attention and get it correct? That would seem logical and the same holds for other Delallo foods. They do no quality control. They just blame the customer and are unwilling to make improvements. Time to buy Greek brands. They know how to treat a customer with respect, even if once in awhile a product is to the customer's disliking.

They always packed the items well and never forgot to include anything we ordered, until the past year. With each order we received, items were missing, cans were dented, lids on jars were loose so that jar contents spilled inside the packing box, and items were no longer packed well. Each time there were problems with our order, my wife wrote to Delallo's customer service team via their website link. Instead of apologizing, they refunded the price of the items that were missing or damaged, which we discovered when reviewing our bank account. Delallo gave no explanation for their order fulfillment errors, no "sorry," no offer to replace the damaged items and send the missing items - they didn't even tell us we'd get a refund. We only found out when we checked our account, which we do regularly. But at least we got our money back. We then had to waste time reordering the same items, and paying shipping again, hoping the items would be intact in the subsequent order. Again, items were missing or damaged, and again, my wife reported the issue to customer service, and again, no apologies. Instead, they gave a long explanation, after several messages from my wife without any response, to excuse their poor service by saying they had several orders received at the same time. My wife told them she wouldn't buy from them again. We were on their email list, and they removed us, which is funny because they didn't even try to get us back. They simply didn't care and took us off their mailing list out of spite. Delallo used to be great, but now their service is lousy, their attitude toward customers is worse, and even more egregious, when the mistakes are theirs, instead of owning up to them, they get angry at their customers! What a sham, Delallo. You have a lot to learn about delivering great service. Not sure what happened to your company, but those who ran it well are obviously no longer employed there.
