Soon our server, Alondra, appeared to take our orders. Hot turkey dinner and hot roast beef dinner with onion rings. The menu had a large variety of food and we were watching the food coming out of the kitchen. The stuffed green peppers, pizza and burgers all looked good. Soon, our dinners arrived and looking/smelling good. Shortly after receiving dinners, our server, Alondra, checked in with us to ensure we were satisfied with dinner and refilling beverages. The roast beef and turkey dinners both had a good amount food. Mashed potatoes and a lot of gravy were a good accent. After dinner, we noticed the chalkboard dessert selections of deluxe carrot cake. We asked what "deluxe" carrot cake was? She told us it's the pineapple filling. Immediately, we ordered one piece and was not disappointed. We recommend this restaurant.

The inside has a cozy/hometown feel with pictures of their family all over the walls. I don't think much has changed to the interior in those 20 years and that's okay by me. For this outing we opted for the antipasta salad, Italian wedding soup, veal parm and stuffed manicotti. Their dishes are more traditional italian (i.e. not olive garden) and they offer lunch, half, or full-sized portions. Their gravy has a good balance between sweet and savory. They also make a great fresh baked loaf of bread and they're happy to bring several to the table throughout the course. It was a special occasion so we closed out the night with their famous strawberry cheesecake. Service was excellent and the bill, with several drinks, was around $60 for 2. The salad was also good and I don't usually like arugula. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and I enjoy that they take the time to do that. Watching her smile, tap her foot, and soak in every note was something I'll never forget. The polka? Incredible. The food? Out of this world. Every bite was rich, comforting, and full of old-school Italian flavor. ‍ The service? Flawless. And then--Chef Bill Shockley appeared like a culinary angel. For our dinner we started with the crab special, gorgeous chunks of finished in a balsamic reduction. For my main, I had the walleye special and the fish was cooked to perfection very lightly breaded lightly fried, extremely moist, tender, and very tasty and beautifully plated against the side of vegetables. My wife had grilled chicken penne à la vodka that she absolutely loved. We were on such a good role and enjoying ourselves with our bottle of wine as well that we decided to order coffee sides with espresso and a lemon Raspberry cake that our surprise was so amazing.
