The flavor was a little different than any I've had before (and I've had a lot of enchiladas). Really tasty. Wife did the chicken fajitas and it was a huge pile of grilled chicken. I also noticed the bar seating area...the place itself is well kept and the employees were friendly. As soon as you walk in the Fabuloso scent hits you! Floor was wet guessing the mopping just got done. Parking in strip center, was early dinner and the place was busy. Noisy too! Got the new soft serve mango margarita it was huge! Delicious and sweet. But the Fabuloso was on my taste buds and nostrils so idk ‍ if it was totally . We came here for dinner on a whim and had a fantastic meal! The staff is so friendly and kind, they made great suggestions and very helpful with our kids. The high chairs this place have are the best high chair I have ever seen at a restaurant, more like what you would have at home which is perfect for the little ones. The house margaritas are pretty good, and they have good specials for pitchers. I really enjoyed their enchiladas verdes and with their chips and salsa they also have a ranch like sauce which was suprisely pretty good and unique. We decided to have some Mexican food while visiting Fredericksburg and maybe a margarita or two, The menu has pretty good options. I was craving a flauta for weeks now and I decided why not. I tried one of the combo meals, so a flauta and a crispy potato taco. The plate comes with rice and beans, The taco and the flauta were just perfect, lots of flavor lots of toppings. We came in in a Thursday evening at 8pm. It was dead and we were seated quickly and given menus. After that we saw lots of servers but not one of them was apparently working our table. We sat there for almost a half hour watching them glance over and just keep walking past our table before my husband finally got up and walked to the bar to order a margarita and ask who the heck was waiting on our table. The woman who seated us delivered is margarita and FINALLY took our order. By that point my water was empty but good luck getting a refill. We were eating the chip crumbs at the bottom of the basket and she didn't offer to refill that either. At this point if my flautas ever come out of the kitchen I will be amazed. To add insult to injury after our food came we never saw them again and had to search out someone so we could pay the bill for our bland food and awful service! Not a good experience and we won't be back. Food was mediocre so waiting this long to even place an order really makes it not worth the stop. TERRIBLE. read more

As the economy continues to tank, you would think businesses would be at the top of their game. Not so much here. We used to go to La Tequila 3-4 times a month because we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, we had not been there for a while but visited this weekend. We won't be going back again. We are in town for a few days and we're trying to find somewhere local to eat. The service was great. Our waitress was on it, not over bearing but very attentive. The food was delicious. Especially the tacos. The tortillas were fresh and the meat (al carbon and carne asada) were very flavorful with the right amount of garnishes on the plate also. The agua frescas were very tasty with natural fruit and not any superficial flavors. Small note: the pictures of the menus on Yelp must be outdated. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Fredericksburg, a few blocks away from the bedlam of the main tourist area. Great place to go with friends, but be prepared for a wait on weekend nights- it's usually pretty busy for a reason. Do as the locals do and start your visit with a cold margarita on the rocks. You can customize by choosing the tequila of your choice. Complimentary chips come with a savory and slightly spicy salsa. My go-to dish is the cheese chile relleno with rice and beans. Compact yet satisfying. Taco salad and beef tacos are also solid choices. Language can be an issue for non Spanish speakers - when I tried to order my margarita with a specific kind of tequila, I ended up with with a lovely salt-rimmed shot glass of tequila garnished with a slice of lime. Delicious! Clean, friendly and great Mexican food-- I ordered tacos al carbon and the meat was so tasty. There was no extra fat or grease in the tortilla. The tortillas tasted homemade. They served a delicious fideo as an appetizer with the chips and salsa which was so unexpected but delicious. My daughter ordered the fried shrimp which she raved about. COVID-19 review - Crazy and scary times folks. In a light hearted attempt at humor.....I GOT A 32OZ MARGARITA TOGO IN TEXAS! Seriously, I think said containers were normally used for large menudo or tortilla soup. To recap, GF is a health care worker. We had planned a trip prior to the outbreak...7 days away from the front line. We drove out from ATX; stayed a few nights. We were one of three rooms occupied in the entire hotel. First morning we (after a drive thru breakfast) headed towards the famous Texas Twisted Sisters. Perfect day on the road! Only a few bikes out and one Maserati Spyder with his top up. Lunch in Leakey Upon our return to Fredericksburg we drove into the parking lot of LTJ to see the sign for togo margaritas. Called the restaurant, drinks were out in a flash. Wasn't my favorite rita ever, but a memory I soon won't forget. Next morning they got our business for breakfast tacos togo as well. Tacos were HUGE! Bean and cheese for the lady; sausage, egg, potato, cheese for me. 3 tacos for under $8. Watched the news in the hotel chowing down. Sauce is more akin to an interior salsa versus what is served in Tex-Mex. I never been a fan, but this version was spicy and delicious. Possibly the best one I've tasted. Once this virus stuff is over, be happy to visit and try some lunch and dinner options. read more
