Absolutely amazing! I have tried to find a taco salad as good as this at many restaurants and never have. They are polite, fast, and the food is amazing! They recently moved across the street on hospitality way, and as of today, January 2, 2013, their phone is still not hooked up from the move, but they are open and the food is still amazing!! I've only had the guacamole made by the table at the Churchville location, but it is absolutely the most amazing guacamole in the entire world!! And the white sauce they serve with the chips and salsa, oh it's heavenly! While I'm not so sure that a "bad margarita" exists, but you definitely won't find it here, as expected, the margaritas are amazing! I've eaten at all three La Toltecas and never had a mix up with my order or an extended wait. read more

Fresh guac is out of control. House margaritas are tasty, strong, and cheap. Tacos asada and lunch express fajitas are good- but I wished the fajitas were on a sizzling platter. This is probably my favorite restaurant. If you are a fan of AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine, then dine here. Everything has always been fresh. The tomato slices taste as though they were grown in a garden on the premises. the cheese is delicious. I don't know what it is about the cheese - it's just different and delicious. And one more thing - if you have ever eaten guacamole and not hated it, you absolutely have to say yes to the fresh guacamole guy who comes around with a cart. He makes your guacamole fresh with fresh avocados, onions, lemon, whatever ingredients you choose to have, and I have never in my life tasted a guacamole that even came close to being that good. read more

Ordered the Burrito Grande, and it was. With chips, rice, beans, and all, it was alot of food at an ok price. Looked good, anyway. Burrito had little meat in it, and much of it was tough and grisly. Chips were WAY stale. Ordered as take-out, and service was fast and polite, but then, I ate it at home, so no chance to send it back or ask for something else. Some quality control would bring the score up a bit, but like most "Mexican" food in this area, at its best, it is only mediocre. read more

Had a long day of driving and this place was next door to the hotel.Service was prompt,I was seated with a nicebasket of chips and some sour cream and OK salsa.The sangria was good. I ordered shrimp enchiladas, the shrimp were nice and tender. But the sauce was thin and tasteless, with an odd orange color. the rice was dry and underseasoned. Have had much better Mexican food. We go here often. It's cheap and you get a lot of food. Service is usually pretty good. Wednesday's are half-price chicken or steak fajitas. Their burritos are good. Their flan and key-lime pie is yummy. Hubby always gets the fried ice cream. To me, it is your standard Mexican food joint, but always satisfactory. We used to go to a place in Delaware that was truly authentic until the owners moved back to Mexico. If anyone knows of a place like this around here, please let me know. read more

The bartenders have changed and they no longer serve homemade Sangria, it's bottled and not very appealing unless you like bottled Sangria for the price of what was a much better product. Prior to this it was made in a more traditional manner with a Burgundy wine, fruit flavored schnapps, Sprite/ 7Up and fruit. The salsa and guacamole are great however they have changed the way they serve this also and are now rationing the salsa instead of giving a small bottle so you don't have to keep asking for it. Food is ok, re fried beans could use some tending to as they were as dry as could be. Still like the place just wish they would leave well enough alone. Was much better in alot of ways when they first opend at this location. Live very close and frequent many times a year. May have to go to Churchville or Belair to compare against what is offered. read more

Wait staff are not trained to handle English speaking people and they are very rude. My wife was not happy with the taste of a dish she ordered and asked for something else. She said the dish tastes like it had a chemical taste to it. She was asked if she would like to see a menu because the waiter did not want to take the dish back again. Very very rude!!!! UPDATE: my wife got sick shortly after leaving. Needless to say, a tip was not left because of the rudeness of the waiter. What he said should never be said to a paying customer. read more

In spite of this pandemic the carryout service has reach a whole new low. I order a burrito azteca expecting it to be just as if I order inside but yet it was not. My burrito was thrown together and not fold with all the ingredients inside they just layer a tortilla wrap on top of all the ingredients. My rice and beans were compacting into the same dish sitting in sauce, I mean like how hard was in to itemize the beans and rice into another container. But, let's not forget the portion size of the bean and rice was not even a hand full portion size. I had ripe the top tortilla of this half wrap so call burrito and found peas and beans inside of the burrito azteca that displays no peas or beans, if I want them I would have asked. I'm truly disappointed and disgust of the pig slop that was thrown together. I know you can do better or maybe you are over work or just don't care. I really use to like the Aberdeen area but I guess I will take my business elsewhere and circulated my business to my community. Please care for your customers as they care for you. It's is the experience and quality authentic taste that for me captivated, but sadly I will move on for now. The food was outstanding, but we noticed something very disheartening. Your hostess, Ms. Hannah, made it a point to seat ALL of the African American patrons in the rear of the establishment while seating Caucasian patrons towards the front. Initially, she attempted to lead us to the rear as well while blatantly ignoring at least 4 empty tables along the way. Naturally, we refused and sat ourselves in the bar area. It was from the seating area near the bar that we watched in horror as she seemingly hid the Blacks towards the back and sat the people that looked like her in the more comfortable and visible seating near the front. Now, we aren't sure Hannah realized what she was doing, however, it should be looked in to. * One last thing* When we left we intentionally walked towards the rear area where Ms. Hannah tried to seat us first...and to no surprise it looked like a Black family reunion but with unknowing strangers as attendees. Ordered the #24, got the 22...had to send it back, The food was average for Mexican, but what knocks it down in my book was that the beef was extreamly salty for my taste, so much so I did not finish my plate. Sadly the best thing about this place is the half & half I ordered and the complimentary chips and salsa. The food was bland. The sauces all tasted identical which shouldn't happen given I ordered 3 different things. The Chile relleno was over cooked. The rice lacked flavor and the beans were as well. I ate less than 1/2 my plate and decided to pay and leave. The server did not seem enthused at all before we placed our order. She definitely wasn't after I informed her how horrible the food was. others have rave reviews of this place but i have to say i'm just not impressed by it! have been here several times and service is usually spotty (ie long time in between drink refills and long wait for the check with absolutely no one to even make eye contact with). quesidillas are probably my favorite thing on the menu but i'm not really a fan of their burritos, enchiladas, or chimichangas. food doesn't taste fresh and i usually have a stomache ache a few hours after leaving here. read more

I have eaten here numerous times and like it very much, but last weekend we decided to pick up food to take home. BIG mistake. First, we get there and there is NO ONE to greet you. Mind you, it's about 6 pm and not busy at all. Finally someone did come over and take our order (which after 15 min the same young lady had to check to see what we did in fact order) Uhoh, i said. While waiting, the phone pretty much rang off the hook til someone ambled by to answer it. OK back to the food: I got the taco salad - which was ok, except for my "chopped" tomatoes was half a slice just lying in the sour cream. The taco shell tasted a little stale as well. My boyfriend got a combo which consisted of a soft taco (it was so messy he could barely eat it), a stuffed chili (again, way messier than it should have been), and an enchilada (he said this was the best of the meal).
