Absolutely I recommend this restaurant. I was even a little surprised by how good it was. Great atmosphere, very relaxed and chill. Excellent service even though it was one of the two servers first day working here. The owner and another person were coming up a storm. Orders coming in and they were crushing it! My beef dish was tasty and as you can see, very juicy. I'll definitely be coming back here to my new spot in Montmartre.

Excellent spot in Montmartre! They take reservations over the phone and the waitress speaks English so you should call ahead. We lucked out by walking in around 7:30pm and asking for a table. We could tell that the owner was trying to figure out if he could fit us! Everything was delicious! The table next to us got the beef ribs for 2 that looked absolutely fantastic and that is what we shall order next time!

Good. But not worth going out of your way. I made reservations based on the great reviews and traveled in from the airport Hilton. After an amazing late afternoon roaming Montmarte streets I finally got to this place. It was supposed to be closed till 7pm. But when I arrived early, all of the tables outside were already full. I made my reservations at 7pm and arrived early specifically so I could sit outside as first to arrive. So I sat inside. The food was very good. I got the beef. Pomme frites were amazing. I left without dessert because I did not want to sit there anymore. As a solo person, sitting outside is more fun! Also, WiFi doesn't work because "walls are too thick." I didn't mind, but be aware if that is something you really need. Next time I will just stop and eat at a place I see with more atmosphere. No need for reservations here, other than the outside tables being full, inside was almost empty. If you have a dinner partner it will be better. Quiet and away from charismatic crowds. Also, the front table has access to a power outlet which was much appreciated for recharging my phone!

This was by far our best meal in Paris. We stopped by just before they opened for dinner and asked if they had a table. They did! We started off with a glass of dry champagne and the oxtail starter. Delicious! Our waitress recommended a wine that matched what we requested and was reasonably priced, a welcome change from the upsell behavior towards a more expensive vintage that one experiences in so many other establishments. The main courses were divine and the desserts sublime (how's that for cheese?). Bring 2-2.5 hours with you for a leisurely meal as La Vache must not be rushed.

We had an amazing meal here on our last night in Paris. We loved every dish. The appetizers were poached egg in morel mushroom cream, razor clams, and ratatouille. My husband and I and our two kids ate it all up. Our entrees were steak for 2 (it could easier be for 3) and pork ribs for my son (12 y.o.) who couldn't finish. Desserts were crème brûlée and raspberry mousse. They were all super delicious. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. It is a small place and they start taking reservations over the phone at 5:30pm. By the time 8:15pm rolls around, it's packed. We'll come again next time!

Didn't make a reservation, so I went a bit earlier than the opening time around 6:50 PM. There weren't many people, so if the restaurant weren't fully booked, you should be able to get a table. Ordered the pouched eggs and stuffed rabbit. The taste is SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!

Un must!!!! Locavore nouvelle cuisine. Located on a lively street near Montmarte this restaurant has superb food in an ultra cute setting at a moderate price. We had: Red cabbage salad with crab, avocado, celeraic and chive Beef Wellington with the best, freshest duck fat fries I ever tasted, mashed broccoli and vegetables Duck Breast with Grand marnier sauce Fondant chocolate with Chantilly whipped cream and fresh cape gooseberry and currant Lemon tarte with meringue crumble Espresso Blueberry liqueur from local distillery (On the house) brandy soaked organic cherries All in for two people plus wine 92 Euros. Easily the best meal of this trip and one of the best ever. Reservations highly recmended as the room is small.

I wanted to taste authentic French Onion soup before leaving this beautiful country and we could not have selected a better place. The soup was, of course, the most delicious onion soup I have ever tasted and the duck breast and green beans which followed were equally amazing. My husband ordered the egg and duck confit appetizer which we were initially puzzled as to what to expect but it was DELISH! As was the duck Shepherd's Pie! To top off the wonderful food was the friendly, gracious service through which it was provided. These two gentleman made our final evening the best. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine.
