Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Plenty Perk: Getting out Non-Perk: Paying Ambiance: Upbeat Dress: Just about everything Noise: A tad loud Temperature: Perfect Recommend: 110% Response Time: N/A Professionalism: On point Date: 12/10/2025 Dissertation: Stopped by La Vecindad Cantina after eating at their sister spot next door, and the vibe here is just pure fun. The energy is upbeat, the music is great, and it's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood--even if you're already full. We didn't eat this time, but the atmosphere alone was worth popping in for. The staff was super friendly, quick, and welcoming, and the whole place has that lively "you're definitely going to enjoy yourself" feel. If you're looking for a fun, energetic hangout spot with great service, this is absolutely a place to check out. I'll be back--next time with room for food.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Only a couple of tables were occupied. Although there was not much going on, it seemed to take a very long time for our drink order to be taken. However, they did come over with salsa and chips right away while we looked at the menu. Love the vibe and decor REALLY cute spot!! Happy hour is daily from 4 PM to 7 PM with a really really good selection of margaritas for only $6.50 each. I personally tried the cucumber and it was outstanding! They have a very large screen TV playing music videos, which was really cool and set the vibe. We also tried the Chicharrón de Puerco (pork rinds with avocado salsa) and it hit the spot with our drinks!!

My client suggested La Vecindad Cantina, and I'm so glad she did! As soon as you pull into the parking lot, the unique décor grabs your attention, and it only gets better inside. The atmosphere is full of charm and color. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, polite, and smiling the entire time. We ordered the taco plate and quesadilla--both were delicious! Even the chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. A cool detail I loved: they actually brand their quesadilla with the restaurant's name -- such a creative touch! Their cucumber-lime water was also incredibly refreshing and full of flavor -- the perfect complement to the meal. Definitely a place I'd come back to for great food, friendly service, and good vibes.

Just a few steps away from the main restaurant, the Chavo del Ocho theme continues at La Vecindad Cantina, where the outdoor signage promises cold drinks, live entertainment, and good food--and this time, it delivered! Since we had already eaten at the restaurant (see my previous review), we came here ready to kick off our Vegas trip with drinks and fun. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who quickly got us seated. We ordered a bucket of beers for $25 (yes, please!), which felt like a great deal compared to typical Vegas prices. The vibe was playful and unique. The kitchen is designed like a colorful indoor food truck, complete with familiar Mexican characters painted on the facade, peeking out from the "window"--a fun and nostalgic touch. A huge screen played a virtual DJ set, spinning a mix of dance hits that set the tone. The bathrooms were clean, colorful, and on-theme. About 20 minutes in, the entertainment started--a drag queen show that was interactive, hilarious, and full of energy. The performer engaged the crowd with jokes, songs, and conversation, making everyone feel like part of the party. We didn't eat, but we noticed the food coming out looked and smelled better than what we had next door--definitely a different (and seemingly improved) menu. Overall, this location is worth a drop-in--even if just for the drinks, atmosphere, and entertainment. If you're looking for a fun, off-the-Strip spot with strong vibes and character, this is the one to hit.

I was exciting to try what I thought was one of the highest rated Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas All I can say is somebody is lying on the reviews Even though this is the "Cantina" the food comes from the same kitchen and the food was horrible Dry chicken and beef in the tacos and taquitos Was charged a 15 percent gratuity for two people when the menu clearly states the charge is automatically added for 6 or more people The sever Matthew was really good. He would have gotten 20 percent off the top but once I saw a tip was already on the bill I wasn't giving a dime extra for an establishment with horrible food and mediocre drinks . Total bill was $70.28, this was for 3 tacos , 3 taquitos a sour Margarita and a Mojito

La Vecindad Cantina has a really great ambiance, especially with the live music. When we went, they had rock en español, which made the vibe even better. The interior is themed around La Vecindad del Chavo del Ocho, the famous Mexican TV show, and it's done in a fun, nostalgic way. The service was great. We stopped by just for drinks and ordered a few buckets of Modelo along with some Mexican candy shots. Everything was fun and well served. We really enjoyed our time there, and parking was not an issue--there's plenty available. Definitely a cool spot to hang out and have a good time.

This place is definitely a vibe . Had a fun time here for sure . The drinks were good but the food !!!!!!!! . The food is not good here at all. If they just fixed that part of this place it would be a 5 . Customer service is good . We got tacos , queso fundido and fish tacos and they were all trash . The salsa was rotten. The fish was old and the salsa sucked ! If you want a chill place to just drink and vibe sure but if u want to chill, vibe , drink and eat this place is not it .

La vecindad was a really cool bar with really good drink! If you're a fan of Chavo Del Ocho this is the bar for you! Gael was a great server and mentioned other events they have in this bar I may consider coming to rock en español night

Gael was out server and he was so friendly, accommodating, helpful and efficient. I found this restaurant on instagram and was initially pulled toward it for its authenticity and decor. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was the best I've had in Vegas. Hands down. I cant wait to return for the 7 day a week live music. This place is a gem.

Im a picky Mexican food Foodie and this place did not disappoint. Ordered the chicharrón for app and the green salsa that came with it . Next we ordered breakfast. 3/4 of us ordered chilaquiles. Dinner table was silent because it was that good. Our waiter Carlos had great energy, gave great recommendations and even places to go after. The ambience was the cherry on top. Whoever is in charge of the playlist give that man a promotion. There's a reason this place is called la vencindad. Can't wait to come again

My friends and I were in the mood for some authentic Mexican foods so decided upon this place as they were pretty high on the recommendation list. The staff was very inviting and the ambiance was very Mexican themed. We were served some fresh, warm tortilla chips with salsa. I wanted Queso but was really surprised they did not have any. I got the beef ribs which came with a house dressing and fries covered with carne. It was very flavorful but not a lot of meat and kinda fatty. We tried steak fajitas as well which were tasty but they forgot bring or tortillas. The server did apologize several time and adjusted the bill. I think this place is a tad bit overpriced for what you get but food was good and staff seemed to work hard. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean.

We came to the Drag competition Sunday night, the show was great, no complaints about that, we were just talking about coming back when the manager Vivi approached us and told us we needed to order drinks or food since they don't charge an entrance fee.Our reservation was made by one of the contestants who is a friend it was originally made for 6 people, which we weren't aware of since she expected more people. There also isn't a minimum amount of consumption (or at least no one notified us that there is). After she rudely approached us and told us that we needed to at least eat ( didn't even check with her server but we had all eaten already) . We asked the server for her name and she came back very confrontational asking why we needed her name and who asked for it. She then proceeds to get in my friend's face extremely rude and confrontational to the point where I had to intervene. She told us we should have just canceled our reservation if we knew the 6 people weren't coming. Her demeanor was extremely unprofessional, very aggressive and she ruined the entire experience. We won't be coming back although we had just spoken about coming back exclusively for the show. On top of that our torta was super hard, food was bland, we asked for water with ice 3 times and the 4th we received warm Cardenas water bottles. Ambience was fun, but no matter what I wouldn't return to a place where the person in charge is being so hostile and proceeded to laugh in our face. She also took it upon on herself to reprimand our friend, the contestant, for reserving a table larger than she expected as if it were her fault that her friends didn't show up.

The ambiance was absolutely charming--kudos to the creative designer for such a beautiful space. The service was exceptional, and the café de olla was easily one of the best I've ever had. We opted for the AYCE tacos at $24.99 per person, which is worth it only if you have a big appetite. Otherwise, I'd recommend sticking to the regular menu items. My favorite taco was the cabeza; it was incredibly tender and well-seasoned. As it was my first time trying it, I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it. The tres leches cake was also delicious and a perfect way to end the meal.

Walked in at around 8:30/9pm and it was pretty dead. My friend and I were able to secure a booth, which felt intimate. It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

We were sat at a super cute table (there were 4 of us) and looked through the menu. The decor was super cute! Sort of old vintage looking couches around some tables, dim lighting, I loved the vibe. We each ordered something different from their cocktail menu from our very nice server. While waiting for those, our friend went to close out the tab and ordered shots, but asked for something that would be good. They proceeded to give us something with muddled strawberries, I was blown away at how good it was! Best shot I have ever had, so fresh. I love when you give bartenders freedom to play and create something so good! Our cocktails were so interesting and very tasty. I'd love to come back when we have some more time and try some of the other drinks. Everything about this place was amazing to me! Vibe, staff, the drinks, I had a great time!

The indoor space is sexy and dark, beautifully designed with lots of velvet and rich textures all around. In a cool contrast, the back patio is a bright, vibrant mix of pink, turquoise, and white. While you're out there, be sure to snap a picture in their photo booth! The staff here is simply INCREDIBLE! They are always so welcoming and do a fantastic job of helping walk you through the menu. Because the cocktail menu changes frequently with unique, rotating themes, you get a completely fresh experience every single time you visit. On my last trip, the theme was music through different eras of time, which was easily one of my favorites yet. They also have standard house cocktails, be sure to check out the punch of the day! Before you leave, don't forget to check out their cool merch and swag, which is beautifully framed up on the wall right behind the bar. No matter where you are staying in Vegas, make sure to put Velveteen Rabbit at the very top of your destination list!

We…read morehad hoped to also get appetizers but sadly for us a cheese allergy limited our choices dramatically. That said, the staff, service, decor and our chosen cocktails were really good. Pricy, as expected in Vegas, but a nice time for my husband and I in a unique decor. The host out front selected for us a cozy little settee and cocktail table in a lovely room away from the main traffic and activity of the bar. He was brightly cordial and had a fun sense of humor. Jennifer, our magnificently poised and attentive server, gave us helpful descriptions of various cocktails and answered questions about navigating around the cheese allergy. She understood the dilemma that presented and kindly focused on helping us find a cocktail to enjoy. Two cocktails caught my eye so we asked for Jennifer's opinion. She said she loved the presentation of one of these in particular, The No. 5. She said it was the prettiest drink they had and offered a good quantity cocktail with a really fun look. It was a pretty pink concoction served on a silver platter in a Chanel No 5 bottle adorned with a black Vanderpumps branded satin bow. The dreamy pink liquid was to be poured over ice and sipped through a golden straw. The blend of ingredients were perfectly balanced and very tasty. The mint garnish brought a bit of sparkly to the blend. The menu describes like this: "THE NO. 5 10 oz / 34.95 What Do You Wear to Bed? Cognac - Diplomatico Dark Rum - Coconut Rum Elderflower - Pineapple - Lemon - Pear - Angostura" The cocktail was perfectly balanced and no one flavor took over the drink, instead the variety of the ingredients came together as a team to create a delightfully nuanced experience for the taste buds. The decor at Vanderpump was a complicated mix of Victorian ephemera and whimsical art and "antiques". It was a bit vintage bordello meets romance set in an antiques collective inspired bar. The colors were rich burgundy and black with loads of roses and crystal with velvet fabrics festooned with flowers. We gave a four star rating for two reasons, ones completely unrelated to staff, service or quality of cocktails. The cheese saturation in menu selections was a disappointment for us and other lactose challenged folks I'm sure. The second factor did affect the ambiance a lot. When we arrived the music was so fitting for the setting so much that it's hard to give perfect examples of songs played. It had perfectly supported the whole theme. It was a bit bluesy and maybe some soft pop or jazz tunes. It was appropriately background, still fun, but not distracting to the whole experience. For the majority of the remainder our visit, the mood music more resembled a rave than a Parisian timeless multi sensory experience. We found this disappointing as well. In spite of this, Jennifer's care for us was a highlight of the experience. She was even kind enough to suggest she take a photo of us. She even chose a background for us. We definitely made a special memory. Thanks Jennifer.

Sure, it is known; however, it was surprisingly not that busy for a Friday. We were seated at a shell like booth and this space between the back side of the Players Club and the Cash cage, is a lovely and elegant place. Is it expensive? yes. Most other fine establishments are also expensive in Vegas. It is what it has become. Is that good? Probably not; however, it does give you the opportunity to experience something unique and special. Although we had one server, the servers worked very well together throughout our 90 minutes here and really team assisted with each other. Between the two of us, we had three drinks. You can page through the very detailed menu, and I decided to have the Passion's Serenade drink, which was a glass partially frozen with a coconut and passionfruit puree and then also had some chocolate rum, vanilla and fresno chili. It was a delicious drink, and actually was a great "sit back and wait" drink, because it took a while for the frozen portion to melt. The experience comes with some complimentary bar snacks and then some complimentary mini jello shots on the way out. The check is presented in an exquisite "Vault" Type of book. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return again in the future. Expect drink prices to range from about $30 to $70, with some even higher for the "market price" drinks.
