Fatal place. We live a few blocks from Design District and can't feel any worst about this business. Having a reservation to celebrate our friend's bday, we (group of 3 married couples) were plainly rejected at the entrance by a blonde girl from Medellin who said we could not go in as one of our friends was wearing flat shoes. Ladies at the entrance are horrible human beings! They let us do the line for 30 minutes to tell us that they are close. But it was not that, because the people behind me were allowed to enter. Went here on a Thursday night went to the bottle side where they were happy to sell us a bottle but when we said we just wanted to check it out first by the bar she sent us to general admission. Got to the general admission side and she said " this side is closed now." Went on a Saturday night and had a reservation. We were going to be spending thousands of dollars and they were giving us a hard time. First they were complaining about the size of our group when the club was very empty, secondly they have us a hard time about the type of credit card that we were using. I am a 26 year old woman, who grew up in Miami and moved to Massachusetts after college. Came to La Victoria for a night out with friends during Thanksgiving break. My federally issued ID that I traveled with was declared fake and then bent/almost snapped in half by an incompetent bouncer named Angel. I called the police for help as I needed to be sure I would be able to travel back with my now broken ID. Police was clearly paid off by the establishment and although they acknowledged that my ID was real, they did not do anything about the situation. Incredibly disappointing, especially considering multiple underaged kids were being let in so long as they purchased a table/bottle service. Overall a lawless establishment focused solely on profit. Would not recommend visiting. Though I have been many times before and it is overall a fun club, management's behavior is unfortunately truly unacceptable. read more

Terrible. The staff are extremely rude and this place has a horrible layout. There is no space whatsoever to move especially dance because its surrounded by tables. The music sucks except for like 5 songs. The DJ played like 1 or 2 merengue songs (old ones-not even good) NO BACHATA. Can't even be called a "Latin Club". I tried going there for a friend's birthday and they were just simply rude. I had spoken to what was possibly the owner or the owner's son the night before in person at La Victoria and he had told us we could come with as many people and each 4 people would have to buy a bottle. We were okay with that! We even looked at the menu with him and picked out Aguardiante. When we arrived the next night he acted as if this never happened. He said you can't get aguradiente you have to at least get vodka, to start at $400. If we did not choose to do that, girls had to pay $20 in cash, and I can't even recall what the guys had to pay. Either way, it was a scam, they were rude, they lied to us, it's just classless. I supposed I'd understand if they were on South Beach and actually had competition but they are located in the Design District. Never again will I go. Stay away from this place. Its a complete scam. Went for a friend's birthday. When I went to pay my bill and they had ran up twice the drinks with things we hadn't drank. I refused asked for a corrected bill. They took me into the back room to talk with the "manager" who said he would call the police if I didn't pay. I told him to call them. He then brought in two security guards dressed as police officers and had them try tell me to "just pay the bill so I could go home" and "do yourself a favor and avoid problems". Felt really threatened especially because they took my ID into another room I guess to photo copy it. When I took out my phone, and said I would call 911, they had me leave. Next day I look at my bank statement and they charged the whole amount AND put a $45 tip on it that I didn't sign for. Needless to say I disputed the charge and credit card company said they had received several fraud complaints against company. Will be filing a complaint with the local police. read more

Case in point, after arriving (with 30+ people; mostly women), we were told our reservations (for two tables made the day before in person by a Colombian girl) were no longer valid and told a bottle of Aguardiente was NOT included (when the day before it was) with table service (only allowed bottles of Vodka, puke). So incredibly disappointed in this place. I was super excited to go and it turned out to be a disaster. The staff at the door were all incredibly rude and acted like they were God's gift to earth. They clearly think its the only "cool" place in Miami to go and were making people wait outside to create the appearance of a "line" when the place wasn't near full inside. I've been in Miami for almost 4 years and I think I've paid cover a total of 4 times....There was no reason for a cover charge, there wasn't even a band playing which in that case I would have understood. The bouncer and manager were SO RUDE! My friends were going to buy a $250 bottle in order for them to let us in. At first they said no because two girls in our group were under age 24. After much convincing, the bouncer was letting us in, at which point the manager lady said no because I was wearing sandals! Never again, i get there with a reservation after Mic Miamiconcert we get there at 11:30pm there is a line and we wait about 10 minutes i am fine with that , then we finally get to our table we were 2 men 3 women . We said another friend is coming with 12 more people they said ok minimum was $1,800 consumible i said no problem lets do it . I had 4 more friends that wanted to come in they said no problem until the so called owner said they do not meet dress code mind you i am wearing a tshirt black jeans and sneakers my friends were actually better dressed then me so it was a problem for them coming in . Finally they get in and come to find out the owner wants my table so we have to get up and move , so we get frustrated and start to leave due to the treatment . My friend stays behind and i go to Barseco where they treat me correct . 3am i get a phone call that there is a bill that no one has paid . So being the correct person i am i leave my table at Barseco race to la Victoria again to pay someone elses tab with my Amex when then i was told they do not accept Amex , i said listen im here to pay a tab that you guys are getting stiffed on which means the owner would charge our server Mariana and that i would not stand for they said it would be $1,800 and i was charged $2,338 . Come to fund out we had only 2 bottles and only 4 stayed the rest of the party did not even have 1 drink due to how we were mistreated . And they still charged me full pop for the 24 people . I do not think i am above anyone but i do demand great service and that La Victoria lacks of completely . At the end I used my Credit Card to pay, which was declined, I used a second and it went thru. My friend also went thru the same issues. As I approach the 4 different hostesses at the door one of them, a beautiful short hair girl that was nice enough to try to let me in until she was stopped by another girl wearing black. I told her I was by myself and just wanted to go to the bar and just to be clear this was on a weekday @ 7:30 PM just to watch a futbol game, place was half empty so I didnt see what was the big deal. Anyways, she ask me for a reservation, or a table and this was after the other girl have already say yes to come in and sit at the bar.
