The machine was not working, and I was obliged to pay for a drive in cash. Then the driver refused to give me a receipt.

Yesterday I came from VA to CA for a CEU class workshop. My taxi driver charged me $100 from LA to Malibu. He even did not bring me to the place I ordered to stay. I had to go by foot to the actual place for around half a mile alongside the road which did not have sidewalk. Moreover, the driver refused to give me a receipt for the money I pad. The machine for credit/debit payments was broken. Other possibilities to receive a receipt he excluded. Something weird was to talk to the driver's boss whose introduced himself by phone as Albert who requested the data from my credit card, then said it rejected payments, but when I went to the store after the driver left me far from the destination, my card worked perfect. I heard about scams in LA, but never expected to meet them among the cab drivers. When I called to the head office, someone promised me to email me a receipt, but so far I haven't received it. i suspect something unclear in all that LA Yellow cab system. Why then they lie to me or decline to give a receipt? I paid $100 and i must prove to the sponsor's of the seminar I came how much cost my every cab drive,

After working with ATS for several years, I have witnessed how taxi drivers can become aggressive and violent towards customers. Yesterday, I experienced this with Yellow Cab 6076. He became combative, aggressive, and violent simply because I corrected him on why he was telling customers to pay cash only, knowing that passengers can pay how they want.   As a supervisor, I felt it was my responsibility to ensure that all customers were treated fairly and that drivers were following company policies. I recorded the incident for my safety and others, as the driver even tried to hit me.  Yellow Cab 6076 hit my camera as I was recording, which is unacceptable behavior toward me.  This kind of behavior is not acceptable and I have seen other drivers display similar actions. It is time for Yellow Cab Company to address complaints and communicate with their taxi drivers.
