My car was there Friday to Friday and the technicians sent me constant updates with pictures even videos through out the course of the work being done. Kevin was pleasant to deal with and communicative from before I got there to make my first appointment all the way until I picked my vehicle up when it was done. He was especially helpful with working with my work schedule being that I work until late at night well after they close. Will be coming back for any other work I need done to my car if needed. They convinced me to do a recharge though I knew there was blockage. They didn't even bother to visually inspect the filter or valves after they reclaimed the freon, just told me I "had to replace the compressor" because they couldn't inspect the oil without a full replacement. Sham.

Then it was like they disappeared off the earth for 2 weeks - no response. I finally got them to respond, and they basically told me to eff off that if I wasn't going to "follow their demands to the very letter" they weren't going to help me. Like *I* was wasting their time. Why was *I* the one tasked with finding my own parts anyway -- they're supposed to be the "experts", or did they just brush me off with bs scut work hoping I'll just go away because I'm a girl with some actual mechanical knowledge. I have been going to Gary's for over a decade now and they always do good work for me. I've had everything from small jobs (check engine lights, pulleys) to diagnosing and replacing the transfer case on my truck (they found me a great deal on a used transfer case that has been working great for almost 10 years!). I once had the pleasure of getting a ride back to the shop to pick up my car from the owner and he seems like a genuinely good person and seemed to really care about taking care of his employees and customers. This week, I called them because I was desperate to find someone to reseal a leaking window on my van. They talked through it with me, and since they aren't an autobody / glass shop they referred me to Big Rig Glass who did a fantastic job. They've referred me to other shops in the past for specialty work and it has always worked out great.
