If you don't want to dish out extra unnecessary money DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! I took my new model car here which has always had. routine oil changes etc..for a simple oil change. I pulled in and patiently waited my turn to be serviced. I sat in my car as the car ahead of me pulled in, asked for an oil change and the service began. The car in front of me was there getting the oil changed MAYBE 3 minutes and I hear the guy say ok all done..looks like you have a oil leak. Paid it no mind and it was my turn to pull in. I pulled in and stayed in the car..and he was under my hood I swear 4 minutes..came to my window and said ok..your all done and it looks like you have a pretty nasty oil leak. But no worries she ( whatever the receptionist name is ) will get you scheduled and will get that taken care of for you. HUH? How the hell does a perfectly good car that Ive always kept the maintenance up on go in for a oil change and come out with a "nasty" oil leak when it wasn't leaking before I took it in? BS!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE FAST TALKING SHADY PEOPLE to anyone! The only reason I decided to take my vehicle there in the first place was because I am a pilot, had a flight coming up and didn't have time to take it to my regular guys. essentially I ended up spending more money than was necessary! I needed to get my oil changed in my 2010 Volvo C30 ASAP. I usually go somewhere else, but I needed to go somewhere that was close and they are a stone's throw from my house. I went in, they were able to help me, said it would take up to 35 minutes max (they were very timely), it was not overpriced for it being a newer Volvo model and today I discovered that they even filled my washer fluid! There is no doubt that On The Go Auto Services is a great customer-oriented business based solely on its friendly, helpful oil + change work. We knew them well from that and were always impressed about the speed and attention to detail they gave to us and our vehicle. The phrase "service with a smile" seems trite, yet rarely fits most businesses these days. However, it is a perfect description for On the Go. Then I learned they did auto maintenance and boy, did I have a doosey of a problem. Dave resolved it quickly, correctly and with precise logic, research and expertise. What he did was, in the end, very simple yet apparently not something every auto mechanic shop does. I am so impressed and relieved given what has happened before I brought the truck to him. My 2000 Mazda B-2500 had been to two mechanics over more than two months. Half of the time my truck sat in their service bays, the other half me attempting to drive it and facing stall-outs and hard-starts. I limited the times I would drive it because I was afraid of what it might do! When I brought it into the first shop, a shop I had used for years, I thought I was safe in having them diagnose the occasional starting problem. My mistake was also asking them to do some deferred maintenance, but felt they could handle the other tasks in addition to resolving the starting problem. One of the other tasks was to do a tune-up. All of the other tasks were done well, but they messed up the tune-up, although I did not realize which of their tasks was the culprit for the later problems at the time. All I know is that when they said the truck was ready, it was in worse condition then before! It would "buck" when the engine was strained, stall-out when starting from a full-stop and twice required excessive throttling to get it started. I didn't trust the shop after I got it in that condition. No shop should ever have called the work done with the vehicle doing what my truck did! I did call the shop to get it to fix the problem, but no one called back the next day (or the next or the next). My truck is a primary enabler for my day to day life and yet this shop did not seem to care. So I worked from home and borrowed my wife's car while I looked for another mechanic. Unfortunately I did not choose On the Go Auto Services, but some other company. This company replaced a bunch of parts the first time but did not solve the problem. I brought the truck back and the mechanic told me they could reproduce a starting problem, then found other parts to replace. When I finally got it back it started well and didn't stall out, yet ran rough and made me feel unsafe. Again, this was obvious to me immediately: why couldn't the shop notice that and fix it? Then I brought it to Dave. He took the time to listen to my two month experience after he did some research and saw all of the parts and service work done by the first mechanic (who reported to Carfax). The truck's behavior was suspicious to him but he admitted it did not fit the normal pattern that most distressed vehicles face. It was a puzzle, but he didn't want to give up. By the next day he had done some research, did a little more test driving and zeroed in on the problem. It was a problem fairly unique to the Mazda and Ford Ranger trucks of the time: four cylindars but 8 wires. The first mechanic, during the tune-up, swapped wires on two of them which did not power some of the engine action at the right time. It would not prevent start-up or running all the time, but would explain the initial symptoms. All of the later work done on the truck since was damaged caused by excessive throttling and starting/restarting the engine. If the original work was done correctly, none of the later work would have been necessary! All Dave had to do was put the wires back in the order clearly documented by Mazda. After that the engine ran fine. End of problem. No new parts and just a day in the shop (not the weeks taken by the other mechanics). Dave's honesty, concern, curiousity and expertise are the best in his business. From now on we will take both of our vehicles to his shop for regular oil changes and for any problems which may occur! read more

Several years ago, these guys did a great job on my Dad's early 90s Ford Truck. Differential...Brakes...couple other little things here and there. The truck hadn't been cared for very well for a few years and they looked it over with that eye in mind. Wonderful help picking things out that needed to be taken care of, but were not outwardly obvious. Called today to see if they'd be interested in doing a disc brake conversion from drum brakes, and was told they're not interested. Great for repair and replace, but not so much on conversions from drum to disc brakes. read more

Brought in my truck for DEQ work, Dave was very knowledgeable and friendly. Diagnosed and fixed the problem, even had to custom fit a Chevrolet O2 sensor onto my Toyota truck due to some after market changes to the exhaust system. Very skilled and effective fix. Didn't over-charge, explained everything, trust worthy guy. That's pretty much all you could ask for in a mechanic, much appreciated. Front office was friendly and professional as well. read more

I have been using them for oil changes for several years and have been very happy with the service and quality. The are a few bucks more than the chains but they never try to sell me extra unless I really need it...hasn't happened yet. So refreshing to hear " your air filter is good for a couple more changes instead of the annoying pressure sales by the chains. I also used them for a mechanical repair on my car last month. They quoted me 2 hundred for labor and did the job for half the quoted price. I was so thrilled I didn't use my 10 percent off coupon. Finally an auto shop I can trust. read more

Being a former small business owner I always try to support the local business community. I needed an oil change today for my Sienna and On the Go Auto Services is really close to my home. So I pulled up and asked for the $39.95 oil change. They start servicing my minivan and the oil is dumped out, then the service person tells me that they are going to charge me an additional $10.00 labor to install the new oil filter. I say really? I have never been charged a labor fee anywhere else. The service guy says sorry that's the way it is, sorry. He can tell that I was not happy and he rushes the service. No checking the tire pressure, no checking the air filter and no checking the lights. I payed the bill and I got was ok your ready to go. No thank you. read more

I had a problem with the turn signal on my car. It stopped working intermittently. I called and was happy they could get my car in quickly - the very next day. They put in a new part and off I went. Two days later, the turn signal stopped working again - two or three times, so I called and asked them if they could try to fix it again. Given that the work they had done the first time hadn't fixed the problem, I asked them to give me some sort of price break; the work was under warranty so it made sense to me that I'd get a refund. This is when things got frustrating. There was no desire to work with me on negotiating prices. They had already done the work, they didn't have the part anymore, and they did not feel like I should get a discount or refund. I ended up spending around $270 (plus $88 for a coolant system flush) on the first visit and $110 on the second visit. Thankfully, the second visit fixed the problem but I was out the $270 I paid them at the first visit. There were some communication issues between me and the mechanics. I understand this shop prides itself on having good customer service but I never would have guessed it by the way I was brushed aside. I would never take my car to On the Go Auto again. read more

For a major repair, he came in significantly under the estimate. This convinces me that he's an honest mechanic. In my experience, an honest mechanic is cheaper than any sort of coupon or other deal. But he can be hard to book and it seems like he's a little slow. And he goes by the book for labor costs, which isn't cheap. If I could give negative stars I would. We recently took our vehicle in to have a manifold and timing chain cover leak repaired. The vehicle ran fine never overheated or anything. We were doing preventative maintenance. Almost $1000 dollars later we are told it was all fixed. We drove it off the lot and within an hour it was overheating so bad we had to pull off the road to let it cool down. We had to have the vehicle towed back (no offer to reimburse towing costs) to On the Go and the owner Dave told us that it was probably the thermostat malfunctioning as they are cheap junk, so basically saying he used junk parts to fix vehicles. After checking it out he finds that...haha....one of his mechanics forgot to hook back up something that was important to keep the truck running and that also was part of the reason it overheated so high..haha.....couple of weeks go by and we get stuck in slow moving traffic jam and the vehicle once again starts overheating badly. We took the vehicle back to Dave at On the Go and he told us it could be the thermostat again....remember they are junk.....he checks the vehicle out and he will put in a different brand of thermostat says he's not sure but it might be the clutch fan and that would be another $350 dollars. Ay this point we are decided that Dave doesn't really know what he is doing. We come to pick up the vehicle and he now tells us the thermostat replacement that he said was under warranty will cost $155 . We are surprised as 1. He said it was under warranty and 2. He did not give us an advance cost quote or mention cost at all. Needless to say we are very upset and will never ever go to this auto shop again and highly recommend that you don't either. read more

I also needed an oil change and asked to have my maintenance light turned off. They got me in within a day of my phone call, took care of everything I asked for, plus noticed I had a parking light bulb out and fixed that too. Our older, secondary, rarely driven car was in dire need of an oil change (it's been over a year, but we haven't hit the mileage mark since our last change) -- and I was in no mood for the upsell of chain places. So I opted to try this place based on reviews, and because I was going to be in the neighborhood. There was no wait, service was quick, and the tech walked through everything he did -- basic oil change plus lots of fluid top ups and checked/adjusted tire pressure. I have no doubt that at the chain lube shops I would have been talked into a new air filter and a pricier oil based on my car's age and mileage. Not the case here -- I drove off no more than 20 minutes later, happy to have given them my $34.95. read more

They put a quart of transmission fluid in my 2007 bmw when I got an oil change ands said it would help my sticky lifters. It ruined my engine. I take it back to them, they say they don't work on BMWs and they didn't want to take responsibility and kicked me out and told me to sue them. After years of being a loyal customer taking numerous cars to there business. Bmw laughed at me when I told them what on the go auto did and said the mechanics are obviously amateurs and shouldn't have touched a car they couldn't handle much less put transmission fluid in my engine. The worst business I've ever experienced, and I went back there just hoping for a fix or some help and all the owner wanted to do was dodge a bullet and had no answer that made sense for what they did. read more

These guys are honest. My car just stopped one day and while I was able to get it started again I still needed to know what was going on (besides the fact it's kind of old). I've had a number of bad experiences with other shops so I'm usually pretty weary with repair shops but thought I'd give this place a try since it was close and had heard good things. Not only were they able to look at my car pretty quickly they had it back to me the same day with a rundown of what was going on and what my options were without charging me an arm and a leg.
