Cool, I scheduled it and on my appointment day/time I arrived early and waited. Well, after checking in someone else is checking on your insurance etc. Well, I needed to reschedule because they didn't get the authorization from my insurance (mind you it was over 2 weeks I scheduled my appointment. ) original appointment scheduled for 4/29/2026 and worries, I will reschedule. Fast forward- appointment for 5/14/2026- confirmed they got the authorization and Claudia helped me and she was so sweet. She also helped me the first time. I changed into my gown and the tech went over paperwork with me. Long story short, Gidget (tech) was so nice and helpful. I explained that I have a stent or shunt in my head and she needed to get clearance or approval from her Chief since the MRI machine has a strong magnetic force. Ok, she then said they didn't receive the medical records which they've been trying to get. Ok, I said they should have reached out to me and I could've requested it. I did have a DISK with my records that I carry for this reason. She said her tech said it was corrupted. I was shocked as Steinberg just downloaded files the other day and it worked. I then said I have it in my email but at this point I'm uneasy and don't trust SDMI Operations. I was very angry and will have my doctor send his request for imaging to Steinberg instead. Horrible experience with SDMI except for Gidget. No one to keep following up with getting medical records despite of being scheduled ahead of time. These are things that could have been avoided or I could've rescheduled instead of going there then trying to reschedule.

I checked in for my 8:10 AM appointment and waited while monitoring the patient queue board, going in and out of my car to ensure I didn't miss my name. At some point my name disappeared from the board even though other 8:10 names were still listed. When I went inside to ask about it, staff would not explain what had happened for approximately 10 minutes. An employee named Eric eventually stated that he had called my name three times and that I would have to check in again and be placed on the standby list. When I calmly asked whether an exception could be made since I had been actively monitoring the board and waiting nearby, he told me to "lower my voice" even though I was not raising it, and then closed the door while I was still trying to understand what to do next. After another wait, he came out and waved me back, which made me believe I would finally be seen. Instead, he informed me that it was now 9:02 AM and implied that because I had mentioned wanting the test done before 9:00 AM, they would not perform the test. When I attempted to clarify that my doctor had only recommended testing before 9 AM, he dismissed me and said he had other patients. This interaction left me extremely upset and in tears. The lack of clear communication and the dismissive manner in which I was treated were unacceptable for a medical facility. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses both the communication process and the level of professionalism shown to patients.

It was kind of humiliating they way they did it, in front of the whole waiting room of people. I was stunned. It was 7.00 a.m. and I was hungry, fasting, and had driven over 12 miles. They were kind of rude about it, like "hey idiot, can't you read." So I called SW Medical hotline. They said my doctor is not an Optumcare doctor too. But then I had another procedure that same day at SW Medical, in radiology, and they said he was an Optumcare provider and had no problem with me and my order for that procedure. They're super fast, they're on top of things and I've never had an issue with their machines (other locations have had issues with machines not cooling properly.) Staff is great. One time they called me when I had a stat order for imaging for a potential blood clot a few years ago and told me they could fit me in if I could get there in the next 10 minutes. I had four different scans today with contrast and their staff is great about getting the needle in painlessly and on the first try. Latest visit: April 2026

Walked in and stood in front of the reception area where it says sign in. There was a gentleman sitting there so I waited. When I had made eye contact with reception I took a seat sure that she would help me asap! I sat there for 40 min without a hello a sign in nothing! I finally walked up to window and asked if I should sign in she completely ignored me? Then I asked if she was going to acknowledge me and she said she would get to me. I was alone except the one man and I saw three receptionists! Finally I was sent to the first window to a girl who was clearly training! No problem I gave her my insurance card id and signed the paperwork. Then she told me she was going to wait to see what my copay was..... I texted my insurance company and asked them to text me when they knew what my copay was...... 2 hours later they still haven't said a word to me but I had received the text from my insurance company 11/2 hours earlier! I was being punished for asking if the were going to acknowledge me! The good news is there are many places to get X-rays and all my mri's are coming up and they will get no bussiness from myself of any family members! Choices! Customer service matters!
