    LabCorp Express Check In machine

    Came in right at 7:30am on a Friday with my mom. There was already a long line at the door since that's the time they opened. They let people in 3 at a time only when there's a lot of people waiting outside the door. One thing I noticed is that they have these new LabCorp Express Check In machines. There were 3 of them lined up side by side with associates there to help. You need to bring your ID and insurance card which the machine scans or takes a picture of I believe. My mom came to get blood work done here and doesn't speak English well. She would have absolutely no idea how to use that Check In machine. The associate helping me with the machine seemed very annoyed and impatient. When I went to the counter to give the paperwork, the lady helping me wasn't very nice. Seems like they don't have much patience here. Other than that, everything went fine. We were in and out of there in 36 minutes

First, let me say this place was amazingly clean, and even had refreshments in waiting area. The young lady at the counter was friendly and professional. You hand them your ID and health insurance card... and the rest is done on your phone.. so easy!!! I don't feel the wait was very long, especially for a weekend at an urgent care. I was seen rather quickly and my entire visit, including X-rays, results, medications and paperwork was just over an hour. I think I take longer at my regular doctor sometimes!!! Everyone was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The doctor explained everything to me, they gave me some shots to get thru the day... and I think this was an amazing experience! I was told to wait 3-5 days for my throat culture results and was sent home with only ibuprofen for pain. Five days later, I had to call myself to get the results. After being transferred, the woman who answered immediately had an attitude and asked what I needed. I explained that I had just been transferred over and assumed they had already given her context. As I started explaining my experience and asking follow-up questions about what exactly was tested for, she repeatedly cut me off and said, "If your throat culture is negative, it's negative." She also kept saying she wasn't the provider and couldn't tell me much, which I understand but instead of offering help, she rushed me off the phone and said she had a line of patients waiting. I responded that I'm a patient too a paying patient and I had reasonable follow-up questions. Rather than trying to help, offering a callback, or transferring me to someone who could answer my questions, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. Being busy is understandable, but that doesn't mean patients who already paid and are still dealing with symptoms deserve dismissive treatment. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for quality care and communication.
