Both of my children were under three & a half years old during both visits, which says everything about how skilled & gentle she is. Both of my kids had their blood drawn in less than 10 minutes total, which is unbelievable for children that young. One poke & she gets it done. Calm, confident, gentle, & extremely professional. She is always punctual, on time, & professional, which I truly appreciate as a parent. I love everything about this service A through Z. I will never again try to schedule appointments at labs, sit in waiting rooms, or expose my kids to sick people just to get their annual blood work done. I can't imagine, literally can't imagine where we would be without Sherrell and Tender Touch. My son has severe autism. He's 16. It would be impossible to get a lab draw from him outside the house without sedation. And sedation is far from easy as well. My son needs lab work every 6 months to monitor since he is on multiple meds and we would not be able to do this if it weren't for her. Sherrell comes to our house, understands our situation, and manages to get blood from him and does it all calmly and safely. I believe she is based far away from us (we're in the valley) and she comes early in the morning anyway so that we can try to get him before he starts eating because we need fasting blood work. Sherrell (who claimed to be the owner of this business) needs to improve her attitude and the quality of patient care. I called to the number available on the website and the and experience I had over the phone with sherell was hostile, disrespectful and highly unprofessional. I asked her questions to be sure if this lab company met my needs, she became very defensive over the phone and said "if you think were not a good fit for you, tje I don't now what to tell you ma'am". I was in shocked the way I was treated by her, I was def not expect in that type of violent and disrespectful treatment. Clearly she was triggered by the questions I was asking related to the type of care I needed at the time. I do not recommend sherell or this company at all. Tender touch was amazing with my son! He's a teenager with special needs and is extremely afraid of lab work. This service was life-changing for us, we had been struggling with all the major labs trying to get his blood drawn but they were not able to accommodate to his needs. BEST EASIEST MOST COMFORTABLE experience with a blood draw that I have ever had. She was incredibly accommodating and communicative. I'm sorry but I hate getting my blood drawn at a Quest. It's so impersonal and they can never find my veins. And when doing fasting bloodwork, I can never seem to get an early enough appointment so I'm just hungry and uncaffeinated and miserable. This service was amazing. My doc ordered blood work and I originally went to the lab -- long story short, after waiting and waiting and waiting in a gross lobby with people coughing, there was a problem with the order and I was turned away. I have to say I'm shocked at the amount of 5 star reviews for this place. I contacted Sherrel through the website and didn't hear back so I emailed in the morning and then got a response that evening to call for an appointment. So the next day I called and we chatted and I made an appointment for the following week. $150 seemed steep for a blood draw (my nutritionist said it's usually around $50-75) but I was willing to pay for the ease and convenience. Plus, with so many five star reviews it seemed like this would be a good experience. I texted Sherrel our address and instructions on where to park since we live on a very steep hill. I also asked if it would be her coming since I have been in the hospital for a total of 3 1/2 months and my veins are heavily scarred and difficult to draw from. She assured me it would be. Great! Easy. Not so much. The day of the blood draw another woman, Dawn, comes huffing and puffing up our driveway. She hadn't gotten any instructions on where or how to park so she didn't park at our house, but found a spot on the street. She seemed pretty upset at how difficult our house was to get to... but I had sent Sherrel specific instructions a week prior to avoid difficulty...oh well. She came in and sat at the kitchen table trying to catch her breath. I said, "I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sign anything, but..." Her hand flies up to silence me, "Just let me catch my breath." Okay... silence.... silence... a minute later I try again, "if you need to wash your hands the bathroom is right around the..." Hand flies up, "I have sanitizer. Just let me catch my breath!" Okay... silence ...silence...literally five minutes of us sitting at my kitchen table in silence with this woman. I tentatively try again. "So, I told sherrel, but I've been in the hospital since February and my veins are really scarred so maybe if it's possible to use a smaller needle?..." hand up, "Again. Just let me catch my breath." Okay. Fine. Breath caught. She uses a butterfly needle... only gets one vial before the vein goes dry. She messes with the needle while still in my arm. I'm about to faint, palms sweating. She's saying, "relax your arm!" "Straighten your arm!" "Relax!" "Straighten your arm!" Over and over. Finally I ask her to take the needle out. "You just need to relax." She says. My mom comes over. "Please take the needle out." She takes out the needle and explains that butterfly needles aren't good for scarred veins... okay. I've done it a million times at the hospital- but if you feel that way then why did you use one?? She put a regular needle in my other arm and got the rest of the vials needed thank goodness. When the subject of payment came up I said I was going to pay cash. Sherrel had said $150 over the phone, so I had that in cash ready to go, but Dawn said it was $145... okay. Glad not to have to pay the extra $5 but why are the prices different? Whatever. I asked for a receipt. "No. I don't carry receipts. Just venmo Sherrel." Okay, that's shady but whatever. Realize that at this point I have almost fainted, so I'm pale and shaking and sweating while she's giving me the venmo instructions. I had just gotten a new phone so venmo wasn't set up on it and I was feeling too faint to be bothered. I gave Dawn cash and texted Sherrel for a receipt to be emailed to me- which I never got. Before Dawn left I tried one more time to communicate with her. "So I think my doctor requested the kit be dropped off at FedEx before one pm. Is that possible?" She just looked at me and with tons of attitude said, "I'm going to FedEx today. I have other kits in addition to yours." In my head I was like, that's not what I asked. I asked if it was possible to drop it off before one pm because it needs to be sent to the east coast...But at that point I gave up trying to communicate with her. I just wanted her out of my house. After she left I texted Sherrel and said, "Just making sure the kit needs to be dropped off by one pm to get to the east coast tomorrow morning." Heard back right away with, "Okay she's dropping off now." Great. That's all I needed to know. Not a crazy attitude from this lady who has a needle in my arm. I'm honestly glad my experience doesn't seem to be the norm because it was horrible. Im giving three stars which is generous: One star because it was kind of easy to set up and Dawn showed up on time. One star because the kit was received on the east coast the next day like it was supposed to. One star for Sherrel's response when I told her about my experience. She apologized and said she would speak with Dawn. I appreciated that. Other than that, it was a pretty weird experience that I hope I never have to go through again. read more

Sherrel is amazing. We had special kits our dr gave us that needed to be drawn but Labcorp wouldn't do it At first I thought the price for this service was a little steep for 15-20 minutes of "work." But then I realized it's much more work than that little 20 minute draw. There is so much work that goes into this, so much time and energy on her part. She's driving all over, putting miles on her car and then processing all the blood and urine samples, sending them out and/or delivering them to labs. Considering all of this, and how easy it was for us to not have to wait hours in a smelly lab, to be done with it all in 20 minutes without even leaving the building, it was SO worth it. Sherrel was so efficient. She came to us, drew all 3 of us, my two kids and me, in 20 minutes. My daughter hates needles and it was so great to have Sherrel come to us and not have to drag my kids plus my toddler to a smelly stale lab and wait for hours. She was very good with the kids too, and no one got a bruise, no one was hurt! It was so painless. Sherrel is worth every penny, and she's just great. Monique is a one of a kind angel! My girlfriend has a hard time with needles, especially when it comes to getting her blood drawn. Lots of fainting, lots of panicking, and lots of passing out. Just wanted to add an update! I've been getting my blood drawn by Sherrell every couple of months for a few years now. She is amazing. So good at her job and such a calm presence. I became severely ill a few years ago, and getting my frequent, very large blood draws in the comfort of my home with a trusted person like Sherrell has made my life so much easier. I really can't recommend her enough. I've gotten hundreds of blood draws and IVs in my life and she is THE BEST. And fun to hang with as a bonus. I just got off the phone with Sherrell, the incredibly rude, dismissive, and uncommunicative owner of this appalling business. I had not been able to reach her (via phone or email) for two days, despite leaving multiple messages, ever since requesting an appointment time slot online and expecting to be given a price before services were rendered. The nurse (thankfully a very lovely woman) showed up at my house before Sherrell ever called me back with pricing, so I went ahead with the blood draw, hoping for the best in terms of $$. When I finally did track down Sherrell (after my fifth time calling and 3 emails later), she wouldn't let me finish my sentences, kept interrupting me, and ultimately raised her voice and yelled at me saying she had already spoken with me, that "I must have forgotten", that this mix-up was my fault and not hers, etc. Finally at the end of her rant she realized her error - that she was indeed mixing me up with someone else!!! - and apologized. By then, however, I was very upset for being verbally berated and attacked by someone for just calling to get a price (two days after I had been requesting it). I don't understand what has happened to manners in this world, and why business owners feel entitled to literally shout at customers asking a question. Dealing with Sherrell was just one more example of how humans now find it within their right to treat others in appalling, subhuman ways. read more
