I went in for a blood test and later received results, only to be told afterward that the results were incorrect and the test needed to be repeated due to an error on their end. Despite this, there was no clear explanation or follow-up from the clinic. After more than a month, we received a bill, which is what prompted us to call. During that call, there was no apology for the mistake, the delay, or the inconvenience we experienced. Instead, we were spoken to in a confrontational and argumentative manner, being told that because a visit took place, payment was required. It is deeply frustrating to go to a medical facility, pay for care, and then be left dealing with mistakes, poor communication, and an unpleasant attitude. Medical offices should take responsibility for their errors and treat patients with basic respect. I am leaving this review so others can avoid the same upsetting and uncomfortable experience.

Specifically, Jasmine. She's either the receptionist or one of the office staff in charge of answering calls. In short: I just wanted to refill some prescriptions. However, in my case, Jasmine had an overwhelming need to let me know that her opinion of right and wrong. The reality? No one cares! Take the d@mn request and wish me a nice day (and mean it). Expect the conversation to escalate if you continue to feel a need to talk over me (or whoever, because I'm sure this isn't the first time you've thrown massive attitude to a caller). We're not only patients, we're customers as well. If you don't want to be there, get another job. My initial visit w/Optum was fairly good, but todays conversation just took my earlier prepared review "right off the rails". With all the healthcare fraud and breeches...there was so way I was going to do that. The receptionists at ContinuEM were super nice and got me checked in within 5 mins. Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

Instead, she went to the back to chat with coworkers while I continued waiting in the lobby, assuming my paperwork was still being prepared. I don't understand how I was supposed to know my paperwork was ready if no one called my name or notified me. She then told me she had already put it away. At the time, she was helping another patient, so I assumed she was simply busy. A simple "Your paperwork is ready" would have avoided the entire situation. The lack of communication and the dismissive attitude made for a very frustrating experience.
