Which we got right in front. It is on it's own little side street so at the light make sure you go into the strip mall like or you will miss it. We got a spot right in front. Use the kiosk to check in since it wasn't for myself. Otherwise they usually text you and you check in from your phone. We sat down and soon they called our name. it's small inside maybe 4 stalls along a hallway. There were only 2 workers this day. We sat in the second stall and they lady said she had a draw from his primary doctor but this was supposed to be from a secondary doctor. I had authorization on my phone but I didn't print it out. My mistake. I tried to email it to their main server but it didn't work . She gave me her direct email and that didn't work either. The other worker came over and looked at the order on my phone. He gave me his number and i texted it to him. Then he was able to print it out. I thought we were getting away from paper but I just wanted the blood work done. They were both so nice and it was taking awhile so glad they were patient. She was able to draw the blood and all good. Thanks for being thorough and waiting for the order. She said it would take over an hour if they had to fax it from the doctors office since the fax goes to their main office then gets transferred here. Confusing but the key is always have your order in had when doing medical stuff.

Despite this: * Substandard Technique: The technician, Mark, failed to examine both arms for viable veins before attempting to prick me. * Physical Harm: Mark made 3 unsuccessful attempts. When I requested he stop after the third painful prick, he was dismissive of my concerns, stating, "I've been doing this for 24 years." This resulted in significant bruising on my left arm. They finally brought in a PICC nurse after that. * Procedure Failure: During the scan, the contrast administration was extremely painful because of contrast flow not being adjusted properly. Furthermore, the contrast did not appear in the initial images. Because of this technical failure, I was forced to return for a second MRI.

I really dislike writing less than stellar reviews for companies that I have only dealt with once…read morebecause I believe in second and third impressions; however, I am going to break my own rule here because I think it is fair to review companies like this after one visit because unlike restaurants most of us do not get blood drawn regularly. Momma said try to say something good about people so let me start by saying that the people who assisted me, the blood drawer and her supervisor, were "sweet as pie." They had wonderful personalities and were nice young ladies. Unfortunately this is the only good thing that I can report. My initial impression of the office was that it was a cold place. The miniscule waiting area was decorated with furniture you might purchase in the discount section of an inexpensive dime store. You are not greeted by anyone; instead there is a phone that you are instructed to pIck up to reach a receptionist. After the phone rang about twenty times, the phlebotomist, who is "sweet as pie," came to greet me. This is where the fun started. I entered the room and a supervisor entered and said "I am so and so, the supervisor and I will be supervising your blood draw. The phlebotomist then proceeded to take my blood pressure and the supervisor left. I asked the phlebotomist to use the long blood pressure sleeve and she replied that they did not have one. In fact, the blood pressure sleeve they used had a Walgreens label. They took my blood pressure three times and had three very different readings. The urine test was an adventure. I mean, come on, how difficult can a urine test be? I was given a plastic cup that looked like the cup that accompanies delivered sushi. The cup had no label and no top. I was told to leave the cup in the bathroom when I was done. I did as instructed and left an unlabeled sushi cup full of piss on top of the commode. The blood draw was equally fun. I recommended my right arm (I know these things because a get complete physicals bi-annually) and after examining my left arm the phlebotomist agreed that my right arm would be best. I felt the poke, turned my head and after two minutes she withdrew the needle. I asked if we were done and she replied "I did not get it." I wondered why she had a needle in my vain for about ninety seconds before she determined that she should try another route. The phlebotomist went into another room to fetch the supervisor (who was supervising from another room) to ask if she could draw blood from my hand. I reluctantly said yes. Guess what happened next? Yes, you are right; she poked for about ninety seconds and could not draw blood notwithstanding the fact that the veins on my hands are as clear as a full moon on a clear night. At this point I wondered why the hell the supervisor did not take over. Perhaps, I should be glad that they gave up. Finally, it was time for the Electrocardiography (EKG). This was the first time I was told that I would be given an EKG. Had they told me in advance, like when I told them on the phone that I would jog six miles to their office first thing Saturday for the exam, I might have driven my car. I am happy to report that there was a happy ending. They agreed to have a licensed nurse come to my office (which they were supposed to have done in the first place) come to my office. After much thought, about three seconds, I passed and requested that my insurance company find a more competent company.

She got me scheduled on the day/time I requested. I had a 9:30am Saturday appointment. Though they do validate parking, I decided to take BART because SFO's parking lot is overwhelming. When you get out of the BART turnstiles, walk straight, and make a right once you see the International Terminal. Once you make that initial right, the clinic is all the way at the end of the aisle towards the restrooms. This was my first time at this clinic, so I had to fill out about three forms. They weren't extremely extensive, but be prepared to fill out forms (it is a medical facility after all). I was greeted within five minutes of completing my forms, and my appointment went really well. I was expecting to tell the nurse what I needed, get some shots, and be on my way. But -- she ended up giving me A LOT of information for my trip. It was super informative and greatly appreciated. If I ever need to get another set of vaccinations/immunizations, I'll definitely come back here.
