Each time I call to schedule my appointment, I am met with an unprofessional attitude from the front office. I could not clearly identify the employee's name, but it sounded like "ShaQueeta." Based on my interactions with her, she was dismissive, unhelpful, and made no effort to determine why there was confusion about my referral or to help resolve the issue so my appointment could be scheduled. During my most recent call, she stated she could not read my physician's referral or determine what had been ordered, even though I had a physical copy of the same referral that had been faxed to the office. Rather than reviewing the referral more carefully, contacting my physician's office for clarification, or explaining what was needed from me, she simply stated she could not process it and ended the call without offering a path forward. Patients contacting a breast imaging center are often calling about time-sensitive health concerns. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable communication should be the standard. After reading the recent reviews, it appears this is not an isolated experience. Management should take a close look at what is happening in this department and ensure staff receive ongoing training so professionalism, competence, and patient communication are consistent across every interaction. The first contact a patient has with your office is often a phone call, and it should reflect the level of care your organization is committed to providing. Do better!

Till now, I've been going to Mills for my MRI's…read morethat location in the dungeon the basement with no cell coverage and a machine that's serviceable gets the job done but takes longer. First time here for a lumbar MRI and it's definitely a grade or two above. The machine himself, they offer you not just ear plugs but also overhead ear protectors, air traffic controller style. I wish I could remember the name of the super sweet gentleman who helped me, very kind and on the ball ad is Eli who ushered me in. All the people there, e.g. who did the check in process also helpful, expedited everything. Care overall top notch, empathetic. Parking up front is easy, there's also a garage. It's super neat clean quiet, gleaming floors, whooshing high tech elevators. It bears no resemblance to the dated UCSF campus in SF (no shade :-)

This is a new UCSF location in Burlingame. We were happy to learn they have a Cancer Infusion…read moreCenter on the 4th floor. This is more convenient for us since we are coming from the south bay. We used to drive to the UCSF Cancer Infusion Center at their Mission Bay location in San Francisco, which was a long drive, plus we had to deal with city traffic and finding parking. This Burlingame location has reduced our commute time. And there is has always been ample parking in the garage. We have come here on 3 different visits, and there were no problems finding parking each time. There's a large waiting area that also has tea & coffee station. They have a similar setup as the SF location, minus the view. The SF location has huge floor to ceiling windows to let in natural light and also offer a nice view while you receive your infusion. This Burlingame location has a small window (top half of the wall) , and no view (especially when they pull down the shades) . The infusion center staff here are just as nice as the ones at the SF locarion.. The infusion chairs here are made by La-z-boy, and offer recline positions. There are lab & scan services on another floor. We had come here for CT Scans. It's more convenient than going to the UCSF location on Berry Street in SF.

Both times my appointments were exactly as scheduled and no waiting. The imaging technician today, Maggie, was very personable, friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable during my scan. I don't anticipate any complications with the forwarding of my results to my doctor since I had no issue after my first visit last year.

We scheduled surgery within a week. 6 months later our Frenchie is pain free and back to himself. The entire staff was a joy to work with. As our pup was in surgery we were kept updated from beginning to end. Post op care and follow up were top notch.

A long overdue review. I will need to make it short, but would like to praise Peninsula Hospital…read morefor the very attentive care I received in 2011 for a major surgery. Fast forward to 2022 when I came down with covid - I had a horrendous experience in the emergency room - I could hear staff chatting away as though they were junior high kids at a party in another room. The ER doctor at that time told me I had "severe covid" and needed medication - a medication that had been understood would destroy a person's kidneys in a short amount of time. I refused the medication. I could mention many other concerning things about my treatment in the emergency room that night, but honestly, this review would end up being much too long. The good news is when I was admitted to a room on the 4th floor it was a different staff and they were great. I asked the doctor who came to see me if I had "severe" covid (as the emergency room doc said) and she said, "no, it's mild, but you are dehydrated and your electrolytes are off." Wow, how could one doctor say "It's severe and you need to have medication" (that will cause harm to my kidneys) and the other have a completely different diagnosis? The 4th floor staff took good care of me the remaining days I was there. Then in 2023, I ended up needing emergency room care again, and an xray tech walked in and said he needed a scan of my heart; I reminded him that due to my health situation (from a previous diagnosis) recommends for me to be careful about having too many xrays, and he said in a gruff tone, "Well, I need to do this anyway," and acted like he could care less. It is my understanding that all over our country, the best nurses and medical staff left their jobs because they knew the vaccines were not fully tested and they were being required to get the covid vaccine in order to keep their jobs. It seems the smart ones left and, unfortuantely, I get the impression that they've had to hire less-than-competent staff since then. I'm hope there have been some improvements to staff and training since 2022 and 2023.

Sharing for awareness regarding the care I received during an MRI on 2/19/26 with a technician…read morenamed Mark, avoid if you can: Description of Incident Upon arrival, I informed the staff that I am a "hard stick" and required specific care for IV placement. Despite this: * Substandard Technique: The technician, Mark, failed to examine both arms for viable veins before attempting to prick me. * Physical Harm: Mark made 3 unsuccessful attempts. When I requested he stop after the third painful prick, he was dismissive of my concerns, stating, "I've been doing this for 24 years." This resulted in significant bruising on my left arm. They finally brought in a PICC nurse after that. * Procedure Failure: During the scan, the contrast administration was extremely painful because of contrast flow not being adjusted properly. Furthermore, the contrast did not appear in the initial images. Because of this technical failure, I was forced to return for a second MRI.

The doctor said it was unlikely that she had a broken bone so she was sent off with NO X-ray, no boot, and no serious pain medications. More than a week later, I convinced her to see my podiatrist who immediately diagnosed a likely broken bone, fitted her with a boot, and sent her across the street, ironically to the same Mills location, for an X-ray, that confirmed the broken bone diagnosis. Not an issue of insurance, as we have excellent coverage. Who knows if her fracture displacement was caused by walking around on a broken bone for more than a week. Poor care. Would not recommend nor will we go there again.

This is a relatively new Bay Area facility with beautiful interior, exterior landscaping, and spacious parking lot. We've been here a lot and always a great experience.
