She messaged me on a Saturday to let me know my labs looked good (I was concerned about them), and scheduled a Zoom follow up appointment to review them and put my mind at ease. I needed a referral to a specialist, and she connected me with a wonderful one in my area. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Runyan - she explained everything clearly, was genuinely interested in my well-being, and calmed my nerves. The app listed a restriction for September 19th only. I arrived promptly at 8am. I was greeted by a nice person at the front desk. She unfortunately told me that I could not get my vaccine at this time. She stated that it was because there was no physician in the office and that their lab is limited to just blood work and the basic flu shot. She proceeded to tell me that a doctor will be in at 0830 if I wanted to wait or come back. I decided to come back at 0830 and run a few errands in downtown Burlingame/ wait in the car. I came back at 0830 and a provider was in house. I checked in and was able to get my shot. It took about 10 minutes from checking in to getting the shot to leaving the facility. The same person in reception helped me and she was very nice about it. I just wished the times and restrictions were more up to date.

Sharing for awareness regarding the care I received during an MRI on 2/19/26 with a technician…read morenamed Mark, avoid if you can: Description of Incident Upon arrival, I informed the staff that I am a "hard stick" and required specific care for IV placement. Despite this: * Substandard Technique: The technician, Mark, failed to examine both arms for viable veins before attempting to prick me. * Physical Harm: Mark made 3 unsuccessful attempts. When I requested he stop after the third painful prick, he was dismissive of my concerns, stating, "I've been doing this for 24 years." This resulted in significant bruising on my left arm. They finally brought in a PICC nurse after that. * Procedure Failure: During the scan, the contrast administration was extremely painful because of contrast flow not being adjusted properly. Furthermore, the contrast did not appear in the initial images. Because of this technical failure, I was forced to return for a second MRI.
