I had a 930am appt. A walk in came in after me and asked if she can be seen. They took her in immediately. I however with an appt had to wait 15 minutes. The monitor showed my name on it. My text from them said I was checked in. When I asked why did this happen, I was told I still needed to check in on their computer. They go by check in. How would I know this when all indicated I was checked in. I had to give a urine sample and the sink was not in operation to wash hands. If nothing else they should have had Purell. Absolutely disgusting attitude here, with more than one person. The lady at the front desk and the lady calling out names. Like this was my first time at an office? My hearing is just fine. She yelled at me from across the room that she was calling me for the past hour. I checked in online, and it said a text message would come when the tech was ready for me. My appointment was at 1:45. I showed up at 1:45. At 2:30, they were closing up and said that she's been calling my name for over an hour, meanwhile, my appointment was 45 minutes ago. Winsom was one of the kindest most calm people we have ever met, her care and compassion was unprecedented (especially these days). My daughter has severe anxiety over situations like this and if it were not for Winsom, the day was more than likely to have turned out bad. Instead, we felt like we left there having Made a friend. Good experience. Very quick! I made an appointment to get a drug test the day before. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. Checked in at the kiosk and was called in after 5 minutes. (Right now you can choose to check in from your phone and wait in your car but I chose to go in.) It was much faster than I expected based on the other reviews. Walked into absolute chaos, multiple people screaming at the front desk about wait time and no social distancing. Staff was rude. I also tried to call the office and they took the phone off the hook. This was the worst pace to ever do for anything. There is no social distance -the wait is long a style staff is rude. So obnoxious to an elderly woman who could not go to the bathroom. The place was filthy and smelled but when u let people sit on top of each other that's what u get. Next time I will go to northwell at 1991 Marcus. If I could give zero stars I would! Go to Quest Diagnostics downstairs. Checked in. Waited 20 minutes. Then another 10. The. Asked for an ETA. So the receptionist made me wait another 20 minutes. Never gave me an answer. Just made me wait and wait once I started yelling they gave me the answer I was waiting for in 5 seconds. If they would have told me the wait was going to be an hour I would have left immediately, but they made me wait and wait and wait. It's funny how once you start to tell you get the service you were waiting for. Moreover, the receptionist literally ignored me once I started expressing my frustrations so I yelled for a manager. Then viola. Question answered. If my doctor wasn't having trouble sending Quest Diagnostics my referral I would have been in an out in five minutes, blood drawn and all. Lab Corp is a waste of space and time, even the neighboring office added to my complaints, mentioning they they always need to borrow toilet paper and paper towels from them. I hope you look here at reviews before stepping a foot inside this door. As a medical professional I feel more than qualified to write this review. I have been very sick and after seeing my MD went to this awful place to drop off a sputum specimen. The door was locked (around noontime) and bell not answered. On reading the signs on the door I saw that they would be closed for lunch for one half hour. It had taken me 20 minutes to park at this large office complex with insufficient parking and I was running a high fever and totally exhausted so I had no choice but to wait. There was nowhere to sit so I had to stand for a half hour. I am a senior. When the lab tech finally opened the door (there were two of them there) I asked why their lunch times could not be staggered. He very nastily said SO WE SHOULDN'T EAT LUNCH? The woman behind the desk started laughing. Then came the kiosk self check in. I asked for his help as I was too exhausted to figure it out. It took him 15 minutes to figure it out himself and every card in my wallet including drivers license backside had to be scanned. I left the specimen with the MD orders and left knowing that a culture takes 72 hours and with the weekend I could not expect results until Monday Sept 17th. When I called on that Monday the MD office had not received the results. I followed up by calling the lab customer service # and they had never received the specimen! This was an important test as we were trying to decide if I was being infected every three months by a patient of mine! I wonder if he said I'll get her and disposed of it??? This most unfortunate situation is being looked into by a supervisor but that won't get me results! It is very sad what patients today are put through! Medicine used to be much kinder! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND DO NOT TRUST THIS TERRIBLE LAB WITH ANY OF YOUR TESTING NEEDS!!! I cannot post this review without choosing a star so I will check one but would check minus at least 10 if I had the option! In further follow up I discovered from their customer service rep that the info Dan the lab tech had entered into the kiosk for me is no longer there in the record showing I was there! He was visited by a supervisor and told her that he remembered me but couldn't explain why my info had disappeared! When does the truth begin to be told? Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had with any type of organization or company. Not only did I have to wait for 4 hours, other patients in front of me who even had appointments made online had to wait an unacceptable amount of time. There was one employee working (or one employee that was authorized to collect urine specimens; another employee did pop out for like 30 minutes and then disappeared to the back of the lab for the remainder of the duration I waited for) and she was extremely rude to every patient in the facility. It took about 30 minutes for each patient to be seen. Totally unacceptable and unbelievable. I was about to leave and reschedule at another location but my paperwork was 5th in line by the time I asked so I waited another hour to finally get it done. I should've read the yelp reviews prior to registering for this location, however, I've had my drug test done at the Hillside Ave location in the past and it took 15 minutes to get in and out the door. I'll never come back here again and would never recommend this location to anyone. The other patients in the waiting room were equally frustrated and fed up as well. I have provided this review with 1 star because it's not possible to provide anything lower. My realistic rating would be minus 5. will never step foot in this location (2001 Marcus Ave) again! When you walk in you have to check in via a kiosk. It took 10 minutes after I input my information before the kiosk says I was checked in. There were over 20 people waiting in the reception area and hallway even though there was seating for 5. The "receptionist" behind the desk would disappear for minutes at a time. I found out, SHE was the one that drew your blood. She took me in the room, tried to locate a vein in my left arm and proceeded to place a needle where she thought my vein was. No blood was coming out so she dug the needle further in, and then moved the needle from side to side looking for the vein that wasn't there. She pulled out the needle and attempted to do the same on my right arm. Again, put the needle in, then deeper, and again swished it about. She claimed I was dehydrated, and proceeded to make me drink 3 glasses of water, while she worked on the next "victim". Five minutes later I was called back in and ready to go. Again my left arm. In with the needle, no blood, swish it around, pulled it out and did the same again with my right arm. I became a human pin cushion. She finally recommended I try the labcorp at 1000 northern blvd probably realizing how incompetent she was. I went there. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Only 1 person in the waiting room. The tech was named Alex. He was kind, and on the first attempt was able to perform what should have been an easy procedure to anyone who knew what they were doing. I wish I could tell you the name of the incompetent tech, but her name tag was hidden from view. All I know she was in her 20's thin and fairly tall. The tech did a great job drawing blood, after a previous aide at the doctors office was unsuccessful at it. However at this location, they asked for an credit card, even though my insurance is in their network. I had to sign a statement saying I would cover $700 if my insurance did pay. They also blocked my credit for a time. read more
