I have mixed reviews on this location. The lab corp locations that were on Camino Ramon in the business park has been consolidated and moved to the Alcosta business park with the other offices. There used to be 2 Lab Corp in that business park, but now there's just 1 Lab Corp in San Ramon. I have only been to the Alcosta location a couple times, and I find it very busy. I will probably return to it because it is the closest to me. The wait can be very long. I find it is best to schedule an appointment ahead of time, but early morning appointments seem to fill up fast. Even with an appointment, there can still be a wait. The waiting room is definitely very small and it feels very crowded too. You check in via the kiosk and wait for your name to be called. I find even if I have an appointment, I am not called within the time frame and can wait a bit. Parking here is pretty easy. As for the phlebotomists, I haven't had good luck with them but they are okay. I really like the ones at the older location who did a better job. I had to be poked more than once here and they had trouble with my vein. At the previous location, they were really good with everything and I felt very comfortable. They are still very competent here but I suppose it could be better. read more

Unbelievable experience... first of all - check in process via Kiosk online as you come in - does not seem efficient due scanner does not recognize when you scan your driver's license for ID. You also have to scan your insurance card ID. Thereafter, you sit and wait. I was 15 mins. early for my appointment... called by a pleasant lady receptionist after 20 mins. waiting - who once again check me in and asked for my insurance card. Needless to say seem my initial check in process was useless. I was then lead to a room to where the lab tech came in and started the process of drawing blood . Had a hard time and was very painful. Cannot believe before going there I was alright but, when I leave both of my hands hurt and bundled up. Overall, does not seem very efficient and got me worried. Can't see what the lab tech was doing nor am I able to see if she was using all sterilized needles... etc - I am presuming it is. read more

If you're not sick when you arrive, you probably will be when you leave. Waiting room is SO small, people pack in there and some have to stand due to lack of seating. They were not wiping down and sanitizing the lab rooms after each patient. They get so behind schedule, you are guaranteed to be late to return to work, even WITH an appointment. I would rather drive further to a different location than come here again. read more

I had to come in for blood work and other tests from two different doctors, and I was a bit nervous because a different location had made a mistake in the past. I asked multiple times to be sure the orders were set up for both doctors, and Tessa was wonderfully patient -- answering me each time without the slightest hint of frustration, and making sure I felt confident everything would be done correctly. She even suggested I could step out for a bit instead of waiting, which I appreciated. When it was time for my blood draw, she was the one who did it -- and she was excellent. My veins can be hard to find, but she located one right away and had me in and out in no time. Throughout the whole process, Tessa was cheerful, helpful, and highly professional. She turned what could have been a stressful visit into a smooth, positive experience. I couldn't have asked for better care. read more

I just had to post our experience from yesterday. A fairly new phlebotomist took my daughter's blood, who has never given blood before. She was a young African-American woman, and I'll tell you what, she was the best darn phlebotomist I've ever seen. She said she's originally from the Castro Valley location, but came to San Ramon because they needed help. She had only been a phlebotomist for three weeks, but had natural bedside manner. My daughter was scared when she came in there, and this technician made her feel so comfortable. She talked about sports and life while she drew her blood and it felt like it was over in an instant. My daughter left there with a smile on her face. I mean, WOW. I did not get the phlebotomists name, but she was just wonderful, and props to her for her amazing Customer Service and genuinely great disposition. read more

First: shout outs for front desk person Taylor and phlebotomist Lisa. Both were professional and caring in their interactions with client/patients. The fact is LabCorp has chosen to close several of their offices in this area. This is a very bad business decision. In less than 2 years, this is the 4th LabCorp office I've gone to in the area; the first 3 locations have closed. Because LabCorp chose to close/consolidate offices, at least 4 times the amount of clients are now being seen at this one site. This isn't the employees fault; they are trying their best under difficult conditions! LabCorp you need to do better!!! 2nd: live and learn. I HIGHLY recommend making an online appointment for any lab work you need done. Don't just show up. people with appointments are seen in a timely manner and don't have a long wait time. We didn't make an appointment and we waited 2+ hours to be seen. Dozens of others experienced the same or longer delays. Please be patient if you have to wait. They have one of the longest wait times that I have ever experienced for any lab tests. Typically wait time is 2 hours or some times it's 4 to 5 hours for walkins. Very understaffed and poor service. read more

For lab work this is the place to go as long as you have Jakaiya and Tony taking care of you. Jakaiya was very helpful and had a wonderful attitude. Tony too was fast and painless. Also very helpful. I consider them to be a huge asset to Labcorp read more

Oh boy, hands down the worst labcorp I've ever been to. You need way more employees working this location. 2 hour wait with an appointment, I was told I had to pay 10x what I actually had to pay (found out next day because they did adjustment) they finally called my name, then people were walking up asking questions and they stop helping me to answer them, it was like the twilight zone for sure!!! Maybe have phlebotomist do blood and insurance specialist check in??? read more

They are overly busy, don't have correct supplies when you arrive, wait times are astronomical even when booking appointments they're constantly running an hour or more behind. I was unsure of booking my blood test at this location after seeing 2.5 stars on yelp and google reviews. But, blood testing at Labcorp was as seamless and stress free as it can get. From the time I booked the appointment I got a reminder 1 day prior and once I reached there, the phlebotomist checked me in and blood was drawn without much delay. The service was excellent with the technicians being quite efficient professional courteous and to the point. I was in and out of the facility within 30 mins. read more

Rude. Unprofessional. Front desk receptionist is short and patronizing. Not only did I personally experience this behavior but I watched her treat senior citizens in that same manner. She reprimanded me for not labeling a specimen tube but they don't provide instructions for collections. More reprimands for those who didn't have their Medicaid cards or when they didn't sign where she instructed them to sign. Patience is lacking for a space that helps those who are in need of support. Restrooms are filthy. Labcorp in Danville used to have phenomenal service. As much as we pay for healthcare, we all deserve better. read more

I have been going to Lab corp on Camino Ramon fo many years. Today I went to their new facility on Alcosta Blvd. The waiting room was packed so I left. I went to their facility Owens st in Pleasanton. I was out in 20minutes. I am curious why the San Ramon facility is so subpar when it used to be excellent. read more

If you have any option of anywhere else to do lab work, go there. This is the most inefficient and poorly run place I think I have ever been to! I made an appointment a month ahead of time and still had to wait over an hour for my appointment. They are turning away people with no appointments who appear desperate and some of the people waiting have been here for hours. read more

Plenty of parking. General there is a wait line so expect to wait if you don't have an appointment. It's a clean facility. I am always received with a warm smile. When you enter you can check-in at the kiosk and take a seat till someone calls you in. They are fast, if there is no line then it takes only couple of minutes to get the blood work done. They have experienced people who take good care while taking out the blood. read more

Whatever the waiting system they are using is not working! The waiting room is way too small. People have to stand literally in the middle of the room to wait for the call. They just moved to this new location / building from the Bishop Ranch building and you would think they know a larger space is much needed based on historical flow of traffic. This Labcorp review is for 2305 Camino Ramon, not 2301 in the same parking lot (Labcorp "extended" services, employment, etc). This is for general lab testing needs. Easy parking, and I walked right in without an apppointment -- cool. Very nice lobby -- double cool. Totally automated check-in process that scans your DL and insurance card -- triple cool. A very lively and funny older lady called my name, and told me which room to go into. THIRD WORLD. FUGLY. Along with the chipped paint all along the walls, it didn't feel clean. I stayed anyway. Thankfully, the Tech was pretty wonderful and took my blood draws in a jiffy without pain and a quick jab. However, I won't be back. read more

Open a little later than most labs, which is nice. Staff welcoming and kind the phlebotomist that I saw was quick, gentle. He also had a great sense of humor when I told him I might pass out at the blood draw. He knew I was joking and set me at ease. The check in process is a little bit strange because they want you to do it through their kiosk system and then you still have to go talk to the receptionist. But all in all it's a functional clean lab with plenty of parking. If one has to go and get blood drawn, this is as good at places any unless you have One Medical. But if you're seeing a specialist and need to go to a regular lab, this one does the trick. read more

I cannot say enough about how kind, helpful and professional the staff is at this location. The gentleman at the front went out of his way to help me with a tedious task to fix my lab order, and all with the best attitude and personality. He was so helpful and kind to everyone who came in, truly went the extra mile. My phlebotomist was so friendly & gentle. They made my least favorite experience a nice moment in the day. read more

Made appt for labs and checked in as instructed 15 minutes before appt with iPhone and waited in car and get text 4 minutes after my appt time to come to waiting room to be called. Took 30 seconds and I waited for another 30 minutes and finally walk up to tech managing desk and she says she's been calling my name and I should have came up to desk to let her know I was there and that she didn't have my phone number. I said I had been standing in front of her desk for the last 30 minutes closest to anyone waiting and your system texted me so don't know why she doesn't have my number. I'm a physician and would not recommend coming to this facility for labs until they get more honest and better help. Over one hour wait time with an appt that was made! I could have driven to my hospital 15 miles away and had labs done there in the time I had to wait. Poorly run facility and highly recommend not coming to this one. read more

Another try and another failure. Made an appointment for 5pm. Showed up at 4:45pm. We were called in at 5. Great so far. However the lab technician couldn't find a vein for the previous client and gave up and left leaving us behind. We asked for a lab technician but no where to be found. 20 min later, another lab technician came and helped. Very unorganized facility. read more

This lab lost my stool culture specimen. They claimed they never received it. I personally delivered it to the lab, and watched the technician place it in the refrigerator. It obviously was never sent to the main lab for processing. I will never again do business with this Labcorp location. Do not recommend! read more

I say maybe only because the staff on site were informative and very good at their jobs. The young man working the front desk was kind and patient with everyone he came in contact with. The phlebotomist I had was a pro, I am a hard stick having been through chemo a couple of times leaving me with only one arm to draw from. She got it on the first try which is no easy feat. That being said they are severely understaffed. I felt horrible for them. It was a full waiting room with overflow outside. There was 1 person up front and only two phlebotomists. Reading other reviews it seems this is an ongoing issue. Although the front desk person was informing people of the extended wait due to staffing and morning computer issues many still stayed. A lot of us were fasting so leaving was not an option. I waited two hours before my labs were drawn. Some patients were not kind and it was obvious that it was having a negative impact on the employees who were doing their best with little resources. Whoever is running this location needs to seriously make an effort to hire more staff. So if you have time and don't mind waiting the people that work here are good. If you are in any kind of hurry forget it. read more

There was ONLY ONE worker behind the counter, she checks you in and she also draw your blood. Yep, you read that right. There was at least 5+ people here waiting for their blood to get drawn too and ONE staff. After this visit, I told myself I would never want to come here again. Just overall, bad service, I can't even put into words how irritated I was leaving this place. Never again. I went for a blood draw today and while the front desk was very nice the Tech didn't know what he was doing. He never told me to make a fist and then he poked around in my arm with the needle trying to get my vein. I finally said ow that hurts and he went and got someone else to help who did know what she was doing. Unfortunately by then I was so upset that I ended up fainting in the chair. The woman Tech knew exactly what to do and was very helpful but through the entire experience I knew the other one did not. Furthermore he never told the woman Tech what had happened as she was surprised to hear that he had tried and couldn't get the vein. I wont be back for fear I will get another bad Tech.
