As I said in 2023 - "Good news - for blood work you don't need to go into the hospital itself but you go to the "testing center" which is in a separate (but attached) building just behind the hospital - easy to find and easy in and out". In 2023, I complained about how long it took. On my last few visits, I've been in and out pretty quickly. Yesterday, I signed in at 9:10 and was done and walking out the door at 9:25 - impressive service. The lab personnel are excellent and very efficent. I've had plenty of blood tests and have donated gallons of blood and the lab personnel are some of the best (translate that as I almost didn't feel it) blood tests I've had. My results were posted to MyChart before the end of the day.

We like that the Lab is rarely busy and we can get in and out quickly. Staff are very professional, yet patient, kind, friendly and quick to perform their tasks at hand. Usually, with a blood draw, they use one of the smallest gauge needles possible; a "butterfly" needle which normally only requires a single stick. But, if you are dehydrated or they find it difficult to locate a vein, or they try a stick and the vein collapses, the original nurse will not do a second stick. Instead, she will pass on the duty to one of the other nurses. We've been to this location for blood draws so often that most of the staff here now recognize my wife and me and greet us by our names. The Lab promptly sends their report(s) to the the office of the doctor who wrote the order for the testing. Therefore, if your doctor orders a blood draw for testing, this could well be the fastest, and most patient-focused, and convenient labs you can find.

"Go home and take dayquil." Even after explaining the recent history of health. They were just completely wrong... just spent 4 days in the ER and hospital for severe pneumonia. If you have something simple that's wrong with you then this is the place. If it is at all complicated you should go to a care center with better diagnostic testing. They are not on any system where they can see your history. If you need a couple stitches they might be able to do that. If you need someone to listen and pay attention to your health and concerns you need to go elsewhere. p.s. I tried calling this in before reviewing and they won't take your concerns over the phone.

I recently visited the emergency department at St. Ann's via ambulance. It happens to be the…read moreclosest hospital to where I live. It wouldn't have been my first choice of where to go. I've previously been admitted to both OSU Wexner Medical Center and Riverside Hospital. All of that said, my only real complaint is that the chart is not available to my primary care team in the OSU system. My charts with OSU and Ohio Health are linked, so they can all see my continuum of care. I took screen shots of my Mount Carmel test results to share with my OSU care provider. When you come in by ambulance as I did, you get priority in the emergency department. So I got a room right away, and I was seen very quickly. I had donated blood earlier in the afternoon but after dinner I was passing out. They did all the standard tests and determined that my heart was fine. The nurses were responsive and helpful. The most impressive part of this visit was how quickly I was discharged. I expected a very late night, waiting for test results to come back, but the time came more quickly than I anticipated. I spent a total of three hours there. (I think. I was a little out of it at the beginning and not paying attention to when exactly I arrived.) It was not great that I couldn't have anyone with me, but that's this covid world we're living in. I didn't even have my phone to call my husband, but fortunately the nurse let me borrow his. We even had to coordinate my husband dropping off new clothes for me, since what I had been wearing was soiled. The nursing team handled that without any issues. By the time I left, I was able to walk on my own without assistance and without passing out. Of course, they always wheel you out regardless of how well you can walk on your own! At least in my experience. Thank you, Mount Carmel St. Ann's for taking such good care of me. Now if you could just link your charts!

Aside from that, Marsha was greeted and welcomed by the staff as soon as she entered. They explained the procedure and alleviated her anxiety. After having been to other places where Marsha had difficulty with the standard MRI, she was pleased that scheduling suggested Proscan Imaging in Polaris with the Open MRI.
