i am super duper scared of needles, this was my first time getting blood work. the nice lady at the counter helped me find all the documents from my doctor that i needed and was super kind about me not really knowing my way around. when i was taken back due to a history of fainting i opted for the bed so i could lay while they took my blood, the other woman who did the blood work had the hands of an angel. she was super quick and i barely felt a prick, minimal soreness and bruising after the fact. i will absolutely be coming back in the future read more

They are extremely understaffed , especially for the above 100 people they see a day. I came a little before 7 and it was already a full house. For just 2 people to handle all that, they made sure to clear out the wait room in under 45 min. You guys really have to understand they have to deal with a lot of people. i almost did not go to this location due to the reviews . but , i went anyway! i got there at 9am and was out by 9:30 ! they were sweet people doing their best with the little staff that was there. when i was leaving the waiting room was full by then . overall great staff and quick! read more

I have severe anxiety and the check in process was fairly quick and done all online (no touching paper or screens). LaToya was amazing. She was very patient, respectful of my fears, and I barely felt the needle. She was quick and efficient and I will try to see her in the future because she made me feel as comfortable as I could be given my white coat syndrome. Highly recommend! The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is that I did have to wait 20-30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen - it that's pretty good for a medical setting, I guess. Definitely make an appointment though - the walk-in times appeared to have a long wait. read more

Just take the extra drive to a different location, don't use the Labcorp in Wilmington. I told the lady my job only gave me 24hrs to submit a drug screen (simple urine test) and the results have to be delivered before this time. Mind you the results for a simple urine test only takes 5mins max. This lady NEVER SENT MY DRUG SCREEN and you could barely see the writing on the receipt. So now I lost my job due to this lady's negligence. read more

Appointment was at 1000. Came in 15 mins early. You have to sign in at an electronic kiosk, there are no people at the desk. Was finally called back after 40 mins and asking about my appointment. Apparently the kiosk never checked me in even though it said I was confirmed. read more

On July 25,2019 approximately 10:30 AM, I brought my 94yr old mother in to simply drop off a sample, Receptionist was extremely rude, stated that she needed to check in electronically before anyone would be able to help her, her arrogance was absolutely appalling when my mother wasn't as proficient at electronic technologies as she would have liked and offered no help, I got her checked in and took a seat in the waiting room to finally be mumbled at and when we asked for her to repeat she became even more ignorant, this young lady ( I use the term lady loosely) needs to be reprimanded and given a function in which she has no interaction with the public(customers) This experience doesn't even warrant 1 star read more

Labcorp Kirkwood Hwy - horrible!! I went last month and luckily had an appt. Still waited 25 minutes, the receptionist was the only one there checking people in and drawing blood. There was a waiting room full of people and she yells thru the window that there's another lab 5 miles down the road if anyone wants to go to that one because she's the only one there - nice! My husband had a 10:00 appt this morning, I told him not to go there but he did, finally got taken back at 11:30. The receptionist puts a sign up that they are closing at 12:30 for lunch. There's a room full of people and when asked if the folks will get their labwork done they close she said no they will have to leave, we are closing at 12:30. Seriously Labcorp is this the best you've got? Sad! read more

LaToya is completely unprofessional and should not be in a patient service setting. I arrive to be 3rd in the waiting room. While waiting after check in on the kiosk LaToya yelled a name from back in the office where we could not hear her because she didn't ant to get up and come to the window to announce. When something was said she rudely clarified the name and then proceeded on a rant about what WE needed to do to be ready when she calls us back. She spoke with a condescending tone. When another patient called her on her behavior she denied and became combative not listening to our actual complaint being we couldn't hear and she needed to get up so we could. Worded were heated between those two and the patient ended up leaving. Apparently another patient walked out before I came in because she treated them rudely upon check in as well. When I tried to talk to he she kept talking over me and not even listening. Basically was a situation of deal with it or leave so that is what I did and would NEVER COME BACK! read more

I went here for a routine blood work up. I hesitated after seeing the 1 star reviews...well, I should have followed those one stars. I signed in, gave them my license and insurance card. Waited a brief amount of time...not bad. When I was called back, I was told I had to pay $150 for my blood work...I said...I don't think so...she said see here...$150...I wanted to say READ IT...ER copay $150. But I just pointed out that the card said Emergency Room CoPay. Clearly these folks don't know much about insurance. The person I assumed to be the most experienced person there even spoke up and defended her. I kept telling them I didn't have co pays with a lab under my insurance plan and I said they could bill me. Why don't the higher ups train their staff appropriately. I woke up at 5am to perform a fasting 3 hour glucose tolerance test (for those who don't know, this involves fasting for 17 hours, drinking 100g of sugar in 3 minutes, and having your blood drawn 4 times while you sit in the waiting room for over 3 hours) there on my one day off, the only day I was able to perform the test while a labcorp was open, which also happened to be my mothers day. I anxiously awaited the results all weekend only to be told (after waiting an hour on the phone and never receiving the call back I was promised by two different people) that they can't find the sample. They know that I was there and the test was performed but no one has the sample or knows the result. I am livid. This is an unacceptable way to handle patient information. read more

I am extremely aggravated with this location. I went there because the location was great and so close to my house. I had to take my 14 month son to get a lead test and another test done. The woman there was very rude and said she couldn't read the script and didn't know what PB meant or what the other test was that he was to get blood for. I told her it was for a lead test and it was shorthand and she said "where does it say lead?" With a nasty attitude. She wanted another script so I called the on call doctor and gave her the fax number. The doctor said the fax didn't go through. The woman gave me the wrong fax number. I had an appointment for 8:30 which was not upheld. I asked her if we had to resign in and she said yes but she would try to get us in as soon as possible. P.S. I entered the lab at 1:46 pm. The lady behind the desk yelled we close in less than 10 minutes.... ok but I'm here before you close. As we proceeded to process my paper work the clerk continued to tel em they close in a few minutes and that she had been at work since 6am. She told me that there were other labcorp near by that were open later. Which I know but this one is closest to my house and he one I use all the time. There was an issues with my rx a code was missing. I did I just left the doc office I'll call them. The mouthy clerk continues to say they are closed now and to take my rx to another labcorp. As far as I'm concerned I was in lab before it closed and they should have done whatever was necessary to process my rx. I have worked for 40 years sometimes you have to work a little later that the exact closing time. I thought the clerk was rude, mouthy and totally disrespectful. I did not get her name. There were two clerks there and the one was very nice and was doing what she could to get her job done, the mouthy one did nothing but flap her gums! Defy wont use that location.. not even sure I'll continue to use Labcorp. There are other labs out there read more
