I told the stylist I wanted to get long layers and only cut the dead ends and that I wanted to keep my length. I also said I wanted the shortest layer to be at my shoulders and the longest part at the bottom of my chest. She barely was letting me explain what I wanted when she sat me down started wrapping me up to cut and didn't even give me a chance to put my purse down anywhere it was in my lap the entire time. The first thing she did was immediately chop off my hair and didn't let me see the length of it until it was over. I even said my hair will curl which is exactly why I told her not to cut so much and to leave it long because I knew it would get shorter. Then once it was over and I realized how short she actually cut it I was shocked. I told her it was too short and I told her I wanted it to stay long. She then had the nerve to say next time I shouldn't talk so much and let her cut. I said how would you know what I wanted if I don't tell you what would you plan on doing..... as a professional stylist your client's wishes should be your top priority and this stylist completely disregarded what I wanted in length. Stopped by for a walk in fade and hair bleaching and coloring. The fade was quick and decently good. Here comes the issues. For the bleaching she used too much developer or whatever it is that bleaches and within minutes my scalp started to itch. Minutes go by then it starts to burn. She insists leaving it and saying that my scalp is sensitive. After some time of burning my scalp she tried it again with less intense product but by then the damage was done and it continued to fry. She then again blamed my scalp was too sensitive and I can't handle it. So she pushed me to do a much darker color at that point I was done and over with and ready to go home to dye it back to black. Well after going home and dying it black, few days later my entire scalp is scabbing and was burned bad. Feels like craters and dried scab bumps on my entire top head. Great place for a haircut! My son loves this place so much. She is open on most days that other places are closed which is a big deal. I have even taken my son on a holiday and she was there. I got my haircut here for the first time. I felt really relaxed. The woman who cut my hair said her favorite thing is when her clients say "Wow! I love it" and that she really enjoyed her job and loved cutting all kinds of hair. That kind of joy is good. She doesn't do it for a job. She does it because she loves it. She usually has a very competent sidekick hairstylist also that takes her cue from Anne. If you live in North Torrance I doubt you will find a better hair stylist or Barber as efficient as funny and as a hard worker as Anne. I don't need my hair done too fancy but I also need more than a straight forward buzz cut and the lady does a good job of giving me the kind of look I want.
